Face Meat,
I seem to remember reading back in this thread that tea was mentioned, and that there is a type of tea called Boba.
Still looking for some to taste and do an extraction.

"Boba" is a term given to sweet tea-based drinks with fruit syrups or milk added. Most have chewy balls of tapioca called "pearls" added.

There's a spectrum of flavors and styles that could be referred to a "Boba" drink. I don't think "Boba" is a reference to the drink, I think it's a reference to the star wars character "Boba Fett".

You don't have to premix the flavor or anything. Just convert his math into the normal overall percentages.

So 30% of 15% overall flavoring is 4.5% B&M in the final, etc.

If you use ejuice-me-up, it has a calculator built in to do this. Just look under "Tools" - Flavor Percentage". Put in the % of flavor you are shooting for (first box - in his case - 15% ), then plug in the percentages from Slohand's list in the order you have them in the recipe, hit "Calculate" (must equal 100% - on bottom), then just hit the "to Main Form" button (on right) and it will plug the converted percentages right into ejuice-me-up. Easy-Peasy.

Have fun......

Yes, all that. And there are quite a few different varieties of tea...Black, green, jasmine, etc., to be had. Where I'm from it is called Bubble Tea. I didn't hear of Boba Tea until I joined here and honestly thought that pronunciation was a bit offensive. I asked my son, he asked his friends, and he said it's OK and I'm probably just behind the times.

Good to know that there's an ejuice calculator that can do basic math ;)

It is from Alien Vapors, not Alien Visions. That list is for their rip-off ingredients apparently, which most people say is nothing like the real deal. Interesting list of ingredients though.. I wonder how much of that is just nonsense to confuse readers. There's no way spice, mustard, salt, sauces, bread, baking powder, or flour are involved in ejuice.

If Alien Vapors gets the Patent, then AVE just might have to change their name of Boba's Bounty I would think.

I accidentally bought Alien Vapors brand of BB once and it was not the same...I thought 'This is the juice everybody likes?' Because it sucked. I went back and realized I bought the wrong one.

Alien Visions is the right one. I think you have it backwards?

I think the mix reviews of BB might be from those getting the knock off from Alien Vapors. I got some knock off BB from another supplier when I first started to vape. Back then I haven't tried the original yet due to AVE being closed. I finally got the real thing and it's my ADV. Since I like PG in my mix, I put a little in my BB and it wicks much better with bcc.

Can I get some translations that make sense to someone just staring with DIY?

I'm a big fan of Boba's Bounty, but I've cut down to 0 nic, which they make no attempt to support. Plus I've gotten tired of them only opening their "store" for 2 minutes every other day and such. So I would like to make something reasonably similar to Boba's Bounty on my own.

eJuice-me-up ?

#7 ?

Generic advice for someone wanting to get into DIY?

Yes, I realize that somewhere in this 38 page thread that these may be answered, but....

1.) Know that there are many good recipes in this thread, however, none taste like Boba's (in my opinion).
2.) If you can handle #1, there are plenty of delicious works in this thread. None of which require nicotine.
3.) If you're just starting into DIY, it's probably good to invest in a relatively decent selection of flavorings**

** If you're looking to make a specific type of juice, i.e. tobaccos, then I'd purchase multiple tobaccos from various companies. That way, you can experience them from all spectrum's, thus figuring out what will work for you and your DIY endeavor. The same with any other type of flavoring: blueberry; drinks; etc.

Start low, you can always add more flavoring in if it doesn't taste right, but diluting to decrease the flavoring is much more of a headache.

Asking for recommendations is a sure way to end up right where you started (you'll likely get a magnitude of responses). My best advice if you're asking for a recommendation is when you receive said flavorings, pay attention to who gave you the advice. There might be a chance that you share similar tastes with that person(s), and thus future recommendations come easier when advised from similar taster profiles (same with flavorings/profiles that you disliked).

Try not to get frustrated (have fun with it!), chances are, you're not going to produce "Vendor Quality" juices right off of the bat (whatever that means, ;) ) Keep at it, ask questions, and congratulations on eliminating nicotine from your daily inhalation diet. :vapor:
