Buffalo Bounty is the name I put in my recipe list.

I rec'd my DIYFS 555 and BlackJack. I already have Scubadatans mix so am ready to mix up my first test batch. I used a slight variation for the name I used: Buffaloba's Bounty. I will let it steep for at least 12 seconds before making my first flavor test.

Love the enthusiam... 12 seconds... lol. It does need at least a good 4 hour heat steep to tame some of the ingredients. Especially the TA. But its not bad fresh, just different.

So buffalo now that it has a name when are you going to start selling the stuff lol.

I wish I had the money to start a juice company. Id love to and have a ton of experience esp in online businesses. Im on disability and barely make enuff to pay my bills as it is with very little left over. So no I wont be selling it. Besides its freely released to the masses now. However if any vendors are going to take it and try to profit on it without at least asking me then that would make me irate. There are such things as copyrights and giving credit where its due.

I have no problems with anyone individually using it for themselves. Ever. Thats why we are here. To help each other vape better juice!

People like you (and previous guys in this thread) deserve to be benefiting from the effort they put. It goes also for mods/atties/coil ideas etc... All of these creative minds are being set aside and people who are far from vaping sometimes, profit from this hobby of ours. This is what frustrates me the most.

I was a bit surprised to see this thread still active. I remember it from a year or so ago. I don't have the precise ingredients but thought I could make something from what I do have on hand. I think a couple of what I used is from when I tried the recipe being worked on at the time. For Dan's mix I used some premade EM and TA at 50% diluted. I used 4 drops of the TA to make up for that. Also my EM is weaker than what this recipe calls for. I use 1/4 teaspoon per 20 1/4 ml of PG. Got this mix ratio from someone here. Don't remember who it was. Supposedly its the right ratio for desolving EM crystals. The person at the time seemed to have the right background and knew what he was talking about. I didn't have VZ Black Cigar but instead used Seedman Captain Black. Also don't have Seedman Commercial Tobacco and used instead Seedman English Tobacco. Lastly, don't have Nicotine Base in VG so used my PG Nic Base. Since I didn't have the nic in VG I probably should have cut back on the Distilled Water but didn't think of it at the time. So, first major mistake is its probably too watery. As I am typing this I realize just how far off base I am from the Buffalo Bounty so by no means do I think anyone should try this. I'm just making this to see if I might want to go forward and get all the correct ingredients.

15ml @ 10mg nicotine 63/37 VG/PG

Nicotine 50% in PG - 3.0ml
VG - 8.6ml
Distilled Water - 1.9ml
English Tobacco - 0.6ml
DK 555 - 0.3ml
Captain Black - 0.3ml
Cinn Danish Cap - 0.15
Dan's Mix - 0.2

Been in the UC at around 110 degrees for a couple hours. Going to try some this evening. It does smell good. Much thanks to BuffaloGuy for this and will post back. Also all comments suggestions or criticisms are welcome

I finally tried Buffalo's Bounty last night. I mixed 120mls of it using exactly the same flavors and exactly the same percentages that buffaloguy listed in his recipe. I used a fresh untainted build on my RBA.

My opinion is that this recipe is on the right track to becoming similar to Bobas Bounty. It does not taste exact like Bobas but it does hit a few a few flavor notes that Boba has.

There are a few tweaks of this recipe that I will try, and if I think that my adjustments make it a closer match to Bobas then I will post them.

I do like Buffalo's recipe as it is, but for me the cinnamon note is a little heavy...I think the Seedmans is making the Cinnamon Danish heavier than it should be...but overall this recipe is nice...I think it could be a Christmas Bobas Bounty. Due to the heavy cinnamon. Maybe the cinnamon will mellow out more steeping. Maybe not.

For me, this is still a work in progress.

I agree with you. I made this recipe exactly as stated, and although it is a nice vape, I just dont get Bobas from it. I can barely taste the Cin Danish, so that does not bother me. I think you are on the right track Buffalo. I am going to try a few tweaks myself. I believe that if we all work together, we will succeed!

It is very close, I made a few tweaks after about two days of steeping, added a bit more Black Cigar and threw in just a touch of banana nut bread and it tasted better for me. I personally think there is a hint of banana in BB, I know he said he removed one or two of the tobacco ingredients to make the banana come out more in Gorilla Juice. I normally ultrasonic steep but currently don't have a kitchen due to a remodel and my ultrasonic is packed up so I am steeping the slow old fashion way.

I will say this, after two days it didn't taste much like BB, after 6 days it is so much closer. I only mixed a 10ml bottle, larger bottles will need to steep a lot longer. The flavor profile is there in my opinion, just needs a few adjustments to percentages etc. I know Ben pre steeps his juice, so if you mix Buffalo's recipe and don't like it just wait a week or more and give it another try.

I personally got burned out on BB a long time ago, just didn't do much for me after I started mixing my own but I have some friends that still love it but want to go down to 0mg soon so I'm pretty happy with the thought that I can make them something close.

Seriously, well done Buffalo! This is by far the closest anyone has yet come, and I think I have tried all of the recipes in this thread so far. A lot of them are fantastic, they just don't have the right flavor profile like this one.

BTW, I was born in Buffalo, NY :)

i think you have an interesting mix here. I know seedmans english tobacco and captain black so I think its going to be way off from my recipe taste wise but I may make yours just cause it sounds interesting.

As I mentioned previously critiquing my own work, I think I agree you. Your thoughts on my recipe are along the same as mine somewhat. I was more.concerned with overall flavor profile than an exact copy of bobas. i think its nearly there. i did make a mix with less seedmans commercial and less cinn danish but it didnt fare well. With my recipe the seedmans tames the TA, not really effecting the cinn danish, at least it shouldnt. what I found was increasing the dk/555 to 3% (so far) helps to blend the cinn danish better. The dk/555 and.cinn danish are what are, or should be, playing together/off each other. You may want to try messing with that instead for now.

Having finally tried gorilla juice and bobas, there is no bananna in bobas. Ben did mention that its base tobaccos from bobas he used to make gorilla juice. Not that he used gorilla juice as a base for bobas. Indeed bobas and gorilla juice do have the same base tobaccos. Imo, and taste is of course subjective, the two dont meet where bananna is concerned.

I've been vaping Buffalo Bounty almost all of the time for well over a week now, which is unusual for me as the main reason for DIY for me is that I like to switch between different flavoured liquids most days. I like it that much - it's a really excellent recipe.

I wanted to find out more about the colour change after a period of time so I did some blending of the flavours I had already mixed a while ago (didn't like them as single flavours so they were stashed in a box).

I'll try to explain what I blended and it may be interesting to others, or it can just be discarded. I found it interesting because the resulting colour is so similar to Boba's - like almost exactly that brownish red colour, I'd be splitting hairs if I described it as being different. I blended these almost 2 weeks ago:

PA DK/555 mixed 13 months ago
Seedman's mixed 6 months ago
PA Cinnamon Danish mixed 3 months ago
Black Cigar mixed 2 months ago
Dan base - I had none previously mixed, but I did the maths and made sure I added it exactly according to the recipe. So there could be a further colour change from this addition?

I won't bore everyone with my calculations. I'm certain that they are the exact equivalent and I did have a maths teacher with me when I was working the volumes out! I didn't add any water as I'm using drippers. Also, I find Boba's is a very thick and viscous eliquid, so I avoid adding water for that reason as well.

I do believe that the flavour profiles are spot on and I get many of the tastes that are very often described in Boba's when I vape Buffalo's recipe. Boba's is my first thing in the morning vape, every morning so I'm pretty used to the flavours that I get from it. Also, I've done a finger taste test and I believe there is one thing missing from Buffalo Bounty. For me, it's a sweet taste that's missing, like maple or something.

In general, I find that the flavour of Cinnamon Danish diminishes greatly over time.

I'm one of the people who don't taste any banana in Boba's Bounty.
