Looking back starting when I started vaping 2 years ago, I see the evolution of my knowledge and hobby of ecigs. I started with cigalikes but only thought they were meh and would smoke analogs when I wasn't vaping. Then my friend showed me his ego battery with a clearomizer that held 1.5ml and thought it was the coolest thing ever. At this point I stopped smoking analogs and stuck to new ego with a clearo. I used this for about a year and realized how flawed it was. Low battery and constant leaks made me wonder if there was anything better. My friend showed me his new vv mod with a protank. I was reluctant at first looking at the prices of these but eventually hopped on the train. This is when I started doing research on ecigs, batteries, coils and what not. My 20 watt VW mod eventually broke down and decided to go down the mechanical mod route and learned more about rebuildables. Amazed at the performance of these devices. I aimed to make the best coils and blow the best clouds. After a while I felt like it was too much trouble and maintenance to have a mech mod and rebuildables. Did more research and discovered super high wattage mods and rebuildable tank atomizers. Now I vape my Bid Buddha rta and Stillare rda on my Sigelei 100 watt mod. Funny how it all started...

mechanical mods are great.....love em......

I tried the ego type before and even it was meh. Then I decided to hop on the quitting train which is the only reason i bought an Ecig this time. Bought one, And then bought another, after realizing the one I bought was Crap. Was a Triton.
Anyways, The Triton is retired, as is the MVP 2.0

As is the Nemesis clone. Now, Im with Emma Clone, CU mod (which I still gotta drill a vent in. and Russian copper Viper which should come next week... as well as a FUhatten which is coming tommorow, and My pegasus which I may keep as a backup. To be honest, Ill probably retire my Emma clone. its nice, and hits hard... but about once a day the button gets really warm, dunno why

A warm firing button is definately a concern lol. What kind of battery are you using? When is the last time you cleaned your mod? Both of these factors can affect why it is getting warm.

Sam, nice write up! Just curious, are you a former smoker and this is your two year vaping anniversary?

Yes I was a former smoker and I saw too many people take their toll to ciggarettes and didn't want to end up in the same situation. Glad I made the switch! Two years vaping and a year and a half ciggarette free!

Nice stories here.

I have been vaping for five years straight with out the need to go back to cigarettes. I've seen everything (well almost everything) that the ecig industry has to offer. I have plenty of broken mods. Now I know what features to look for when buying vape gear. If it doesn't have it, then I won't buy it.

I'm currently vaping a mech mod that will soon be turned into a regulated mod. Just by adding a small computer chip. This chip will work like a DNA 40 only it is much different from the DNA 40 itself. It's a chip that can detect liquid on the wick and it will not fire unless there is liquid on the wick. So no more burning the wick. Even if there is a little liquid on the wick, the chip will detect that and provide just the right amount of power to turn it into vapor.

The chip is adjustable by temperature. And you get that temperature in less than a second.
