So, I have literally just mixed 5ml of 11mg(ish!) strength juice for the first time! And I'm feeling rather proud of myself so I thought I'd share:

54mg PG juice (Although it says this yet in the ingredients it says Vegetable Glycerine 94.6%- what's with that?) 1.1ml
Some Propelyne Glycol 1.89ml
Some Vegetable Glycerine 1.5ml
Some Decadent Vapour 'Virginia' concentrate 0.5ml

I must admit, I'm rather pleased... I don't know if I'm supposed to vape it straight away but it's not bad :)

OK, boast over: now for some practical questions which I maaaaaybe should have asked before.

  • How disposable are the gloves/syringes/measuring cups? I've been using them (not the needles, just the barrels) for more accurate measuring. Can I just wash and reuse?
  • Ignoring steeping, did I vape too soon or is there a safe time to leave them for?
  • What's with the ingredients list on my nic bottle? It says '54mg PG' yet in the ingredients it says Vegetable Glycerine 94.6%' I only noticed after I mixed it but have they mislabeled it or am I getting confused in my excitement?

Thank you muchly in advance!x

1) Yes, you can just wash them in very hot water, no soap, and reuse them. You can fill the barrels up with hot water and just push it through.

2) You can vape them whenever you want. Steeping, especially with tobacco flavors, tends to bring out their better characteristics. I usually just place mine in a platic bag in a non-food use dish, cover them with hot water and shake them every hour or so for a couple hours, replacing the water with hot water when it cools. This is a quick steep.

3) I'm not really sure about the nic bottle...there wouldn't be 54mg of PG in something, it would be labeled percentage wise, like the VG...leads me to think it was maybe a labeling mistake? 54mg sounds more like a high percentage nic fluid meant to be cut down with either PG or VG. Ok, just reread the first bit. It sounds like you have 54mg per ml nic fluid, which is diluted in VG, rather than PG.

Glad you're having fun!

I've emailed the vendor just to double check about the ingredients... I'm sure its a typo as it's lovely vapour and throat hit- just what I was looking for!

I now feel a bit peculiar as I look around my bedroom/laboratory... there are gloves, syringe barrels and mixing cups drying on my windowsill, next to a yoghurt pot full of four lychee seeds wrapped in a (clean!) sanitary napkin which was previously soaked in water... If somebody who didn't know me walked in, they'd think I was totally loopy! (I like plants and attempting to grow something from seed sounds like fun...)x

Ha! I know exactly what you're talking about! My girlfriend came home shortly after I received my first order from WL. Syringes, glass cylinders, pipettes, big bottles, small bottles, really small bottles, mixing vessels, all types of protective equipment, verbal warnings about the nic liquid in the refrigerator, etc. She gave me a ... look. She now calls me the Mad Chemist.

Congrats on your first attempt!! Wren, covered your questions already and I would like to add as well that tobacco flavors do change over time with steeping however it doesn't mean it will taste better, just different that might be either or. I use a Commercial tobacco, Brown sugar, caramel recipe that I vape right after I make and not after a weeks of steeping. Make sure to take notes how you like it right away, after a few days and after a few weeks etc.

Lots of great recipes here, best of luck and keep us posted with anything you come up with.

Well, it currently tastes like floral gum sweets which probably wont mean anything to you but they were some of my favourite sweets during childhood...they kinda taste like soap...I'm sure most people would hate this but after about 24 hours, I'm a happy lady! I think I need to buy other flavours to try though...I made up 15mls so I'm going to use 5ml now, then leave it and see how it is next week and then another 5mls for maybe a month...x
