And I'm sad. So I'm going to whine a bit. :D
To start with he took a week to switch over to totally vaping. Then he vaped for three ish weeks. But then he ran out of the juice he liked.

We started right before July 4th so I was able to get lots of juice on sale. He's tried them all and says he doesnt like them. Says he only likes that one tobacco/cowboy flavor.

So he went back to cigarettes until I could order more juice that he likes. It came yesterday so I figured he'd be good again, and I'd just order enough to hopefully make sure he wouldn't run out again. But today he broke it to me that he wants to keep the cigerattes.... He enjoys smoking and he just cant get the same affect from the ecig. ykwim.... I did to that's why I switched to vaping, so I could get my fix without all the chemicals in tobacco.

He is going to be having back surgery soon, and will miss a couple months of work. So I'd been really looking forward to not trying to fit cigarettes into the budget. Right now we were actually saving money with ecigs. (not that I got to actually save it lol to many back to school costs, but it nice not having to budget so tight yk)

I guess I get his batteries (808s) now though :D so I won't have to worry about not having one charged. Although had I known I wouldn't have spent the money on the last two I ordered... I really don't need 6 batteries just for me. lol

That happened to my friend when she had surgery. She said she would have gone nuts without her e-cig. I went to visit her in the hospital and it was so cute. I looked into the room quietly and she was sleeping with a little 510 gripped in her hand resting on her chest. I dont think the nurses would have been able to pry it from her hands even with sleeping.

Smoking is a tricky thing to kick. The person who got me started with vaping eventually went back to full-time smoking. I got my wife to start vaping and it was so successful with her that she eventually stop smoking and vaping, and she'd been smoking longer than I had!

Keeping vaping open as an option to him (also making sure you have plenty of his juice on hand, even if he's not using it) is probably what's best. Hopefully he'll come around again before his health takes too much of a hit.

Well don't be to hard on him I did the same thing twice while trying to quite. The big thing that finally got me to stick with it this time been (3 months with out a single analog) was spending the money on a decent mod and finding juices i liked. My previous attempts were with lower end not necessarily cheaper ( bought them at a smoke shop and paid way to much) stick type e-cigs. This time around I got a provari and some real qualityy juice (Halo, Want2vape to name a couple). I took the higher quality juice and ability to hit them with higher voltage to satisfy me. I can't imagine i will ever go back now.

Having a quality mod is a must for me. I would have gone back to 1.5 packs a day had I not had a good mod. It actually took me 2 tries and now I have finally quit. There are tons out there to use. You can't go wrong with a Buzz Pro or ProVari or Darwin. I wrote the mods in acending order of cost but they great thing is... you can change your voltage/wattage to find exactly what you like. My wife likes 4 volts and I like 5 volts but we can use the same battery charger and parts etc. I hope this works out for your husband.

Re. your husband's switching, to paraphrase an animal lover's verse -

For if he will, he will, you may depend on it.
But if he won't, he won't, so there's an end on it.

Don't be too concerned, Bluemoon. If he's ready, he will come around. Each operates on a different clock. Meanwhile, vape away in front of him and offer him a puff here and there. Who knows? :)

I tried to get my fiancee to vape as well. She ended up quitting smoking and vaping for 17 days straight. Then, she had a cigarette and another... we get it. She tells me it's because she doesn't like the way it feels. I try to explain to her that she had only touched the very very tip of the iceberg of possibilities that vaping can offer. After 5 months, I have plenty of experience and knowledge on many devices, and juices and I'm sure I can help anyone with their vaping experience, if they are ready to commit.

She says that she just wants to quit it all... someday :glare: I try telling her that why not try vaping again, and you'll see how easy it will be quitting vaping, rather than cold turkey on cigarettes. She's pretty stubborn. I just KNOW I can get her setup with something she'll like, or at the very least, something that will work for her enough to keep her away from the smokes. I sincerely hope that she opens her eyes soon to the possible negative repercussions that smoking can bring and at the very least, allows me to help her quit (no matter which way she chooses).

He has been using the 24nic.

I told him to try smoking more often ... I go through 3-4 cartos a day and he'd only use two.

He knows he shouldn't be smoking, he had surgery on a low back disc in Jan and the neurosurgeon had a cow about him smoking. And now due to an accident at work he has to have surgery on one of the neck discs. I will give him, he has been in pain and super stressed about the surgery (they go through your neck and a lot of nerves there you don't want messed up yk)

I'm gonna encourage him to keep cigarettes to one pack a day and supplement with vaping...hoping he'll switch back on his own. (was 2 pack a day smoker)

I was thinking he'd like a mod better. Was going to try and get one when he hit 3 months vaping. Hate to spend the money if he isn't going to stick with it.yk

I also started and still Vape Cowboy. $12.50 for 30mg. if you get a better deal let me know lol.

Vapor4Life - Vapor King - the best e-cigarette/smoking alternatives!

We started on Smokelessimage.com version of cowboy. While they were out I had him try Honeyville, he said it wasn't the same. Smokeless is supposed to be getting 30ml bottles the first of the week. (right now it is just in cartos) I'm not sure what the cost will be because they have never had it in liquid form before. I don't have clue if it would be like V4L's version.

I used to smoke half a pack of american spirit perique blend
A day. Then a friend of mine gave me a 901, stopped smoking for I think three months. Then started smoking analogs again. Eventually they disgusted me, and I ordered my 510. Not planning to go back ever again. Your husband may not go back to a pv, or he might. Try to get him a pv with a higher voltage, and a higher nicotine level. He may just go back. Or you can evil and pull the "I'm your wife and I love you" card.

I firmly believe that there is a solution to almost every issue if only you can identify what the issue is.

So what effect is it that he feels he is missing?
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ou-put-down-those-last-couple-cigarettes.html

Also, there is a good percentage of people that really miss the MAOIs and/or other tobacco alkaloids.
A lot of those people can't quit with vaping alone, and need to supplement vaping with snus or other low-harm tobacco product.

This is a really good approach. When I started vaping, I wasn't looking to quit smoking altogether. I just wanted to stop smoking in my house and car. So I'd have a few cigarettes outside each day (down from 1.5 PPD).

Allowing myself to have those cigarettes without the pressure of quitting, and without the "doom and gloom" feeling of forcing myself to entirely give up something I'd been doing for decades really helped. I kept dropping a cigarette or so until I wasn't interested in them anymore. Vaping had taken over!

Everyone's experience is different. If your husband's requires some time, that's ok too. Don't pressure him or make him feel bad so he doesn't start to associate vaping with negative stuff. Let him work through it as he needs to while you continue to enjoy vaping.

P.A.
I also started with vapor for life. the cowboys are them red 901 filters. thats what got me hooked. i then found the liquid i posted above. its not exactly the same but its damn close. i would pop the white top off the red filters from VFL and refill them with the vapor king cowboy. they are refillable. i still use them and havent purchase from VFL since March. i picked up a 510 to 901 adapter and now use them on my ProVari.

the 24mg should do it but im going to say go with a mod and a 306 atomizer....that combo resembles a cigarette the most.

i think you personally should learn how to use the 306 atomizer first (theyre very finicky to learn), that way you can teach him from the get go. if hes frustrated or cant use it properly hes not going to convert as.easily.

i started with the kr808s too and it just wasnt enough for me...the mod and 306 really provides a nice kick

have it around the house and just give it to him as an alternative to use. alot of us had the mentality going into vaping that even if we could cut down on analogs..wed be happy. eventually with time, we ended up vaping more and more and the more analogs tasted like crap...i think its still possible for your hubby, just give him the best setup possible.

there are CHEAP box mods out there so you dont have to spend alot...im on the cell so i cant think of the sites...but you can get good ones for $40 or so. someone link her.please
