Having a quality mod is a must for me. I would have gone back to 1.5 packs a day had I not had a good mod. It actually took me 2 tries and now I have finally quit. There are tons out there to use. You can't go wrong with a Buzz Pro or ProVari or Darwin. I wrote the mods in acending order of cost but they great thing is... you can change your voltage/wattage to find exactly what you like. My wife likes 4 volts and I like 5 volts but we can use the same battery charger and parts etc. I hope this works out for your husband.

Good Advice!! Those 808's just can't come close to the "inhaled feel" of a cigarette. If he had had one of the better PV's as mentioned or even a good 5 volt PV such as the GLV2, he would have had a better chance of staying with it. They just provide the "inhaled feel" of an analog much better than the small battery PV's.

Give it time, and don't push. The first week my boyfriend rolled his eyes at my PV and tried it and said he didn't think it would do it for him. He had a long night drinking, ran out of analogs and got into my stuff. After that he would try it more often and eventually got his own PV. He has an anolog now and again but mostly vapes. I think sometimes that the less you push, and the more you let curiousity take over...the easier it is. Men are like raccoons you just have to let them be sneaky and get their paws on it themselves.

I bought three different ecigs and about 30 different juices before I was really satisfied with it. You have to have equipment that works properly and is easy to use along with good tasting juice that puts off lots of vapor. Its tough in the beginning and can be expensive. I would suggest getting a different brand\model ecig and get a bunch of samplers until you find something that he likes. It might also be that he is not getting enough nicotine from vaping. There are places that sell 36 mg and higher liquid and they may be what he needs. Good luck!

Ouch. I think that cigarette addiction is one of those things where people often have highly specific expectations and preferences regarding feel and taste and changing/removing even part of the experience is definitely missed.

I'm not sure what to suggest for your husband other then to seriously consider at least limiting the cigarette smoking to a few a day while vaping for nic replacement, then seek to quit the cigs when he feels ready.

Personally, I'm in a unique situation in that I'm very much addicted to cigarettes and don't want to be but I truly enjoy smoking. And I'm trying to break the dependency with a couple of cigarettes a day. Best wishes for your husband.

Actually, I would say that not only are you NOT in a unique situation, but that you are more likely in the majority.

I am fairly certain that most of us here truly enjoyed smoking.
And many of us never even wanted to quit, and wound up quitting by accident.

Ohh yeah, I defiantly didn't want to quit either. But I'm only 32 and I was already getting out of breath walking up/down the stairs in our tiny split foyer home. It took me a hour to do 3 miles on the treadmill. Also at first I couldn't even get to the 5 second cut off on a draw. After about a week I could. Now I feel much better a month out. Kids start school in two weeks and I'm going to start going back to the Y to run.

I see vaping as the best of both world, still get my nic, vapor and hand toy...just none of the other nasty stuff. Ohh and two weeks of crest white strips did awesome on my teeth. (eek can see a couple fillings now, because of the color change)

Oh and I did order a foxy box mod, had been eyeing them for awhile but finally sucked it up and took the plunge. Hated spending the money so close to him missing work. But decided if it works it will save us money while he misses work. Yk
