Hey kids, just dropping in again to say "hi." I tried to catch up in the old thread but after 20 pages or so, I had to cut to the chase and that's how I found Part Deux.

Big Juicy asked about NS Dark in the old thread and although his question may have been answered already in the many pages that followed, I will say that I have vaped my way through a few bottles of it and it's a fantastic juice. It's as close as I've found to an "ideal" vape for me. If you like a stronger, darker, more "European" kind of cigarette flavor, I don't think you can go wrong with it. In fact, it was my going to NETcom to reorder it, and seeing that the site was closed due to illness in the family, that motivated me to log on here to see what was up. I have only a few mils left and I guess I'll have to savor it sparingly until they're back in business.

In other news, I recently cracked open a bottle of Vita Bella that's been steeping since last September. I don't think it's changed radically from when it was fresh but it has mellowed/deepened slightly in a way that I find very enjoyable.

At this moment I'm vaping some well-aged (also from September) TPR Smooth & Mild. It's pretty laid-back compared to the other two I just mentioned but it's a nice vape.

Thanks Vapo!!!

HHV has three new NETs. A maple and a chocolate, meh, maybe try them if positive reports comes in. BUT, the third, Gaia, is a straight forward earthy tobacco offering. BINGO! That's one to get me excited.

Been waiting on the announcement/unveiling -- thanks for the heads up.

Interestingly, in the description for Temptation, they make mention of their other chocolate lace NET, Oompa. But there is no mention of Hunstman in the description for Maple, Eh? So one would surmise that there is, indeed, no maple in Huntsman ;)

Before I get those two, I still need to try Pirate's Booty. But definitely interested. I hope Maple, Eh is as good as Hey Jack from MOV.

Ok, so I'll just add what I think of the HHV NETs since I have tried nearly all of them now sans Sludge which I'm not interested in, and Dark Horse which I'll try with my next order. I'll try Gaia and Temptation in my next order also, Temptation seems like it is in my wheelhouse.

All juices 50/50 at 12mg

Dragon's Fire: It's almost a perfect vape for me, it is slightly sweet but the tobacco stands out with notes of chocolate and honey. I love the cloud, it's smooth yet bold, and it has a great aftertaste. A
Oompa: I don't like dessert vapes but this one is as close as you can get, without it being too sweet or rich. It's chocolate, it's tobacco, and if you let this one steep long enough you have a great after dinner vape. B+
Huntsman: Jeff thinks I'm nuts but this one is very cigar-like. I get maple sure, but I also get the boldest and most well-rounded of the NETs IMO. An earthy, outdoor flavor exists here and there is some comfort in that. Do you drink and vape? Huntsman is great with adult beverages, quite possibly the best drinking vape I've tried. A-
Heavenly Tobacco: Yeah I know it's not an NET but I love this RY4. It's Tribeca light and I frankenjuice this one with ECBlend RY4 for me #1 juice. I like this stuff so much, I often sleep with a 15ml bottle of it. A-
Serendipity: This one doesn't work for me at all. It's cocoa and black tea and tobacco and it just isn't blended even after a long steep. I can taste all the elements separately, and the only one I like is the tobacco part. C-
Shadow: Vaping this right now. It's a a very light, almost ultra light vanilla tobacco that is somewhat creamy. It's one of those easy going vapes and I like this one quite a bit. Strong B here.
Pirates Booty: Another well-blended HHV NET here. Very mellow, nice flavors, cigar-like and enjoyable. B-
Heavenly Army: The pipe tobacco vapor's pipe tobacco. This one hits like a freight train and actually makes me cough a little. I didn't like it at first but then gave it more time and it turned out nice. Not a huge pipe tobacco lover, but I recommend this juice to folks I work with who like that pip tobacco taste. I give it a B-, but if you like pipe tobacco this is surely an A.
Legend: I think this is a smooth vape, also good with alcoholic beverages. I don't love it but I appreciate it for being a great juice that brings a well blended and pronounced flavor profile that is sure to please. B

Now I've tried some Ahlusion NETs, and like some of those but outside of those my experience in NETs is fairly limited. So if anyone has recommendations for me based on my above ranks, they are certainly welcome.

I must say, I'm really looking forward to my Indigo order which will be here tomorrow. Synthetic tobaccos but I've heard so many good things, should be a good vape mail day.

Dragon's Fire just didn't work for me. It's one that many people love, even one best overall tobacco in the NETty Awards, but the appeal was lost on me. I did vaped it up no prob like all the HHV NETs I've had.

Shadow and Dark Horse I had small samples of quite a while ago. Shadow I didn't get much flavor from, Dark Horse I liked a lot and was my favorite in the sample pack I originally got.

Huntsman is my favorite HHV by far. Amazing woodsy tobacco flavor, one of my favorite NETs.

Legend and Serendipity I found pretty similar, I didn't get chocolate and tea from Seren though I got coffee. While they seemed similar, Legend I liked a lot more and as I've mentioned is in my holy cherry-NET trifecta.

I had a couple puffs of Pirate's not too long ago and liked it enough to get a bottle next time. I also plan on getting Heavenly Army as suggested by Jef, Darkhorse, and of course the new Gaia. And more Huntsman.

Indigo I hear are pretty awesome artis, almost NET-like in flavor. I have them listed to try.

I'm really confused about legend especially all this talk of cherry

the first time I got it was amazing boba bounty like, sharp pipe tobacco flavor,no cherry

the 2nd time I got it, it was creamy not sharp in flavor and after a month it had a cherry flav to it(I like cherry ww from ahlusion but here it was not working for me)
I was not going to order again

But after reading about a possible bad batch of extract I decided to give it shot it was so good the first time

3rd time I got it, it had that good sharp flav again and no cherry like the first time

I want to order again but only the version without the cherry
what is the deal with this juice

I never had a juice that had such a difference and wouldn't even think about it as it might have been 1 bad batch
except everyone is saying it is supposed to have cherry

so what gives here

According to MM... Adam said that both Legend and Serendipity are extracted from the same tobacco source which has neither a cherry, chocolate or coffee flavor in it from what I recall was said. The difference is the amount of extraction time with Seren being extracted a little longer. I think of it as "flavor matrixing"... sort of like "visual matroxing" were we see images that aren't really there like in the clouds etc... Our minds taste certain flavor elements and then just "thinks" cherry, chocolate or coffee... since everyone has different taste sensitivities... we get different reports from different people.

That makes a lot of sense

I just opened a few hours ago a bottle of gentleman's reserve from the steam co
and the first few minuets it really tasted strange cheap and just odd
I was thinking what is all the fuss about this

15 minuets later it tasted just as described

I've had this experience maybe 2 or 3 times before
I've wondered how could something taste so foreign 1 minuet and so familiar a few minuets later

My theory..

HHV talking to the extract supplier..

HHV: yeah the last order of Gandalf extract tastes different.

Supplier: hmmmm let me look into that....

(In the backround.. psst, pretend we sold them the same extract, but make up a reason it's changed)

Supplier: yes HHV, it looks like we did indeed sell you the same product, it was just ummmm mistakenly extracted longer, which shouldn't effect flavor but turns out it did.

HHV: ahhh, makes sense, well my customers like it too so I'd like to order it extracted both ways.

Ok probably not, but who knows what really happened. People trust HHV, HHV I'm sure trusts the supplier, but I don't know any of them personally and the way things are kept under wraps with the process I find it hard to feel confident what is said is the absolute truth.

Personally I don't believe for a second that's it's the same tobacco used for those two juices, but none of that effects me personally. I just go by what they taste like to me if deciding I want more.

I wasn't really talking about getting accustomed to a flavor...

It was more about how a bit of extra time on an extraction can make a difference in the flavor... additional flavor notes appear making it seem like a different juice. Seren was an "accident" that wasn't expected when the extract meant to be Legend was left set longer than planned. So just what seems like a minor detail at first, extraction time in this case, can result in different tasting juices.

We have several home extracters here that I know sample their juices along the way. I'm curious, anybody notice any of their extracts have such a drastic flavor profile change as time goes on?

I know the one's Bills made taste pretty close to what the pipe tobacco is described as, does that change? Does cherry turn into coffee, tea, or chocolate?

Hey... I'm gullible... so sue me... :D

Lol. Not saying that. Just saying when even what type of tobacco is used to make the juices, it leaves it open for speculation. No mention of Virginia, Burley, flavored tobaccos, etc, which is almost always mentioned by a vendor. Also when the question is asked if it contains cherry is answered by saying they personally don't add to flavoring to the extract, I raise my eyebrow.

The defense is, who cares, it only matters how they taste. This is true to many, but not to all.
