Anniversary Kake
How are Black Note's Bravura and Sonata? That deal makes me want to finally try their liquids.
For me, Louisiana Red is an "always have".
Hey Anthony. I think you'll like the Obsidian it's good. Don't let the grey-black color throw you off. Joe Krantz is Excellent, one of my top five juices. CT Broadleaf can be a great addition to a cigar juice as long as you get bottom or mid-leaf. The top leaf isn't all that great. It's the luck of the draw as to which leaf you get.I mixed 16 of the extracts I got from the blowout boxes I got from MyVapeJuice so I am looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Judging by the scent of the extracts I am optimistic that they will turn out very nicely indeed.
I mixed them all at 25% extract, 60/40 PGVG at 6mg bottom orMFS nicotine.
Amongst the ones I am really looking forward to trying the most are the Obsidian Pipe, Cornell and Diell Old Joe Kranz, Earl Grey Tea, H & H Loiusiana Red pipe and Plum Pudding Pipe. I am also looking forward to to trying some of the varietals such as CT Broadleaf and Indonesia Bezuki.
I transferred all the extracts from the plastic bottles Diane supplied them in, into Amber glass Boston bottles. They will live in my fridge. These will last a long time and will most likely go off before I've even Vaped a quarter of them. What to do with so much extract!

So me hardies, I need some recommendations for a Virginia-Turkish NET.
The ones I DIY combining single varietals taste flat. Figured I'd try a commercial blend.
Hey boomer, the obsidian pipe certain is a dark foreboding color and along with the scent Ot really captivated me. I was consisting mixing at 15% but I started with 25% along with all the other mixes. If it's too strong in flavor I will step down the ratio on the next mix.
I picked up the other varietal leafs as well in the blowout boxes. I have the sweeter Virginia leafs, the medium CT broadleaf, LS broadleaf and the darker Cameroon Seco and Indonesian Bezuki. I might try these separately before trying my hand at tobacco Masterchef in blending some of them.
Unfortunately, so far I have only tried Peter Stokkebye 84 Turkish that would match that description.
I suppose I'll go ahead and mix up a bottle. I haven't had any of this one in several months.
The Lane BCA was tasting like vaping a cake earlier, but the flavor has lost it's edge. Time to switch it up anyways.
I really don't know why I have not sought out more of them though, I find Turkish and Virginia to be a great combination.
Upon vaping the newly mixed 84 Turkish:
It has a bit of a bite to it, and not in the groovy Latakia or a strong Burley kind of way, either.
I'm pretty sure this tobacco was really dry when I went to extract it. Is it even possible for harshness to transmit in such a way?
I'm going to vape Big & Burley for the rest of the evening and see how I feel about this at a later date. But for now, it's going to the back of the cupboard.
I would say that my next extract currently dripping through an Ahlstrom filter disc halfway qualifies as a Turkish/Virginia mix; Moonshine Pipe Co. XXX Blend - Latakia, Turkish, VA and Burley.
From P&C: "XXX is a Latakia-based blend that is mixed with Turkish Smyrna, high quality Virginia leaf, and a touch of Burley. To finish off the exotic mix ofa light top note of Kentucky Bourbon is added for room note."
But you know, checking the composition of Big & Burley again (because I usually forget what's in what I'm vaping besides the dominant flavor) - "Big & Burley is a lightly sweet, rough cut Burley with hints of earthy Turkish, deep, smoky Latakia and fruity/peppery Perique."
....I'm starting to see a pattern here.![]()
Here in Seattle there is a NET manufacturer Real Extracts LLC. They have a Turkish made with Izmir and Yenidje blended with a Bright Virginia leaf. It is very good.
Interesting site but very expensive. Maybe I'll try it anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
I use a local coupon code for 20% off Real Tobacco Extracts. Try ECF20. They don't charge me shipping although they send priority so the cost is actually mid-range for a truly premium natural juice.
I just realized that they sell a DIY concentrate for the same price as RTU. It is the least cost of any NET concentrate - $0.18/ml it worked out to if my memory serves me right.
The Moonshine XXX was really good, but the Latakia, which I love, is up front. I'm looking for a slightly sweet Virginia mixed with Smyrna. There's another Turkish leaf which I can't recall the name, maybe Macedonian which is really pukey strong. I try to avoid that one.
Kentucky Bourbon is an interesting flavor. I had run out of it while mixing up some Castle Long and used Whiskey flavor instead. Not the same at all! That Kentucky Bourbon is what makes Castle Long one of my favorite non-NET juices.
I get this email from P&C about Russ getting ahold of some very rare Perique varietals that are essentially 'until it's gone' stock-wise. Apparently the 'experiment', as they're calling it, is "RO Series Perique".
I got that too and unable to decide I added them all to my cart. Haven't placed the order yet but they all sounded intriguing in different ways...and I love Perique
