It’s interesting that the reviewer of the Manabush liquids said that Martyn who created the liquids believes using silica was recommended to capture the best of the flavour. I still use silica with NETs much of the time.

Martyn seems to have gotten his start much like Clay did who runs the very successful Naturally_Extracted-tobacco.net site in the US. Clay used to be a regular member of this group 5 years ago and started to make his own NETs before going into business and using the knowledge and preferences he derived from this group to craft NETs that would appeal to NET lovers.

It seems Martyn has done much the same with his involvement on Planet of the Vapes in the UK.

I remember Clay's start well. He worked hard researching before he started up. Things got off bad for him in the beginning as he experienced some marital problems. Kind of slowed him down a bit but he got back in the saddle eventually. He makes some nice NETs.

Since @Black wings has brought up the subject of Manabush I thought I'd chip in. Back in 2014 when I switched to vaping the UK didn't exactly have the best selection of tobacco E-liquid. As an ex smoker I was pretty desperate for a tobacco flavour experience but the very synthetic Hangsen RY4 which was everywhere just didn't cut it and I found myself vaping fruit flavours from T-Juice instead.

I actually came across Manabush about late 2014 to early 2015 and was extremely impressed. As mentioned they are not true NET tobacco's but in my opinion they are still way ahead of many tobacco vapes even to this day. As such I simply cannot go without having a bottle or two lying around.

Initially I had some concerns when I read the flavour profiles because I thought tobacco and dessert flavours might taste really weird, but after the first time vaping them those concerns vanished. All the flavours on offer use ingredients that are very complimentary and one thing I know for certain about Manabush in the years I've vaped it is that the juice is always top quality. I think the pricing is pretty good too, especially when compared to the cost of Red Vapes, El Toro and Black Note which I also enjoy.

For the record I have no vested interest in saying any of this because I'm simply a customer that truly appreciates a quality tobacco vape. But I definitely urge some of you folks across the pond to give these a try. Pow wow Sauce, Mojave Dessert, Coyote Coconut and Firewater No.3 are real favourites of mine.

Yes very similar indeed. Back then there where few decent tobacco juices so he went through months of experimentation with tobacco, infusion, pressing, extraction ect and then worked with tons of flavour house's to create a good base tobacco.
After many samples being shared on the forum he started to create small batch stuff and it was so popular it soon grew into the fully tpd compliant clean room unit it is now.

I just so happened to watch a Vaping with Vic review last night and he mentioned Manabush.

I just put in a significant order with Manabush. I ordered the Nokomis, firewalker and fire starter lines and a bottle each in the ingenie and legio x lines plus some Drakes. I’ve always wanted to try drake.

I will report on my experience when they arrive!

I ordered Ahlusion after 5 years of not having any of their liquids. I am pretty excited about this. I know their Aromatics are no longer NETs nor is their Godfather/Just Criminal but I am enthusiastic all the same.

My manabush order has arrived in record time from the UK.

I first heard about this brand from members of this and another group and after some research can see that the business has been operating since 2014. The mixologist is Martyn Zombie Tuesday (his actually name).

From what I understand the flavours from manabush used to be composed of NETs and flavorings and with a tightening of tobacco laws throughout the world, Martyn went about strenuous testing and sampling of synthetic blends to recreate his NETs with a synthetic equivalent that would eventually replace the NETs once he sold out of NETs.

I’ve received all of the 3 lines from manabush being the popular Nokomis line, the firewater line which has a richer, bolder tobacco flavour and the spirit walker line which contains some of the equivalent blends in the tobacco lines without the tobacco.

I was excited about this order because I’ve not ordered any vape juice from the UK since 2012.

So far I’ve only tried Nokomis and Waxahachie.

These juices are the real deal. I have not enjoyed a synthetic tobacco like this in years.

Nokomis is creamy and a sweet. It is not sickly sweet. The sweetness brings the whole together and blends well with the creamy tobacco base. It’s not quite as sweet as Candied Cavendish from The Plume Room but if I had to find an American equivalent that might be it. Likewise the sweetness factor isn’t as high as Heathers Heavenly Vapes NETs but there is also a resemblance in flavour profile. Add a creamy profile to Legend or Serendipity from HHV and there is a resemblance.

Nokomis is complex and while it is a bit sweet I wouldn’t call it a dessert vape. I think the sweetness just smooth it all out. If I had to break the sweetness down I would say it’s a custardy creaminess and not a fresh crisp custard but more of an eggy rich decadent custard.

The juice is of a good quality and tastes fresh. I’ve been vaping it all day and no headaches or jitters. It could possibly benefit from a steep. My instincts tell me the flavours need to meld more but as it is, it’s a great vape. I honestly couldn’t put it down. It’s nice when a juice reaches my expectations and then exceeds it.

Bare in mind that the whole Nokomis range has this tobacco base so I can only imagine all of the juices are good in the range but I’ve yet to try them all.

The Waxahachie was also good, great actually. There is a gingerbread flavour with a hint of chocolate that is really well blended with the tobacco.

And to think I’ve yet to try the juices in the range that are highly praised like Powwow, Nanabozho and Chiracacua.

Whilst the tobaccos are synthetic I could swear I am vaping a NET. The tobacco base is light and sweet, smooth and well rounded. There is no funkiness to the base flavour, it’s not bold or rough, it’s just a good smooth mild tobacco flavour.

These juices perform best around 10-20 watts on mouth to lung devices or restricted lung inhale. They could work well in pod mods but I think they deserve well built MTL rebuildable systems like OBS MTL, kayfuns and berserkers to really capitalise on these complex decadent blends.

I can’t wait to try the rest.

Nokomis sounds more like HHV's Heavenly Army or Shadow with the creamy base.

Yes I would say closer to heavenly army and shadow. It’s hard to describe the creaminess in manabush. It’s complex and rich.

I’ve yet to try the sweeter ones in the Manabush range. Apparently powwow is one of the favorites.

Thanks for the great review of what you have tried so far.

My Plume Room order arrived today as well. Two vape mail packages on the same day! It’s my first TPR order in 4 years. So good to have Candied Cavendish in my life again.

How about nic and pg/ vg percentages ? I would like to try, as I'm a big hhv fan so hopefully they carry 24mg (or 20mg as that's probably the highest in UK)

I think they do up to 18mg but can’t be sure and both high PG and high VG options.

I would stick to MTL with Manabush or restricted lung inhale. These are not liquids to be vaped at high wattage with high VG. But you never know, I’ve not tried to vape them at high wattage.

I vape around 20 watts mtl, so it would be good, but 18mg is iffy for me . I have vaped a couple 18mg that had a really strong TH , but it usually takes 24mg to satisfy my TH preference. I guess I can throw a few more drops of nic in it if it feels a little weak...might give it a try, thanks

You are a dinosaur lol

I haven’t heard people refer to nicotine levels that high since 2010. Back in 2010 it was commonly thought that 18 mg was moderate nicotine levels and 24 was on the strong side. I remember 36 mg nicotine in juices. I got some juices at 36mg back in the day.

Maybe toy should buy unflavoured Nic and mix your juices to your desired Nic level? Few vendors sell flavoured pre-mixed juices at 24mg anymore.

I think I am getting to the point where I will likely just extract my own flavored tobacco for sweet Vapes, straight up tobacco blends for tobacco flavors, and say to he!! with the rest of the world.

(Did I mention my 60th birthday is coming up ?)
