BJ,

I just dug up my bottles of PrimeVaping Nostalgia and Natural tobacco. That makes it sound like I exhumed them from their graves, which is poetically accurate if not literally true. I atty-dripped some of each. With the caveat that both bottles are going on two years old, my experience of them now (not having vaped either for the past year) is that the tobacco in both, which is presumably the same extract, does indeed taste like a macerated NET, but the flavor is somewhat muddy and undistinguished. If I had to guess, I'd say that Virginia and Burley were used for the extract. The chocolate/cocoa or malt added to Nostalgia doesn't strike me as perfumey, but instead almost chalky, and the Natural tobacco seems to have some additional sweetener that I'm not particularly in love with.

Both are about the same as I remember them being when new, just less vibrant due to advanced age. They're not dreadful, not even bad, but they simply don't rank among the many superior NETs we regularly discuss on the thread. The Natural Tobacco has held up better than the Nostalgia, but I wouldn't choose to vape either, especially when I have so many very good retail NETs. My own home-brewed NETs, which are mostly my tobacco vapes of choice these days, are also far superior to these.

Thanks bill!

Well, I just exhumed (lol) my old bottle and to be fair it was 24 mg AND "extra flavor". It was the malt I think that took it over the top. What you are getting as chalky at 2 years is what I got as perfumey at 2 months.

I totally agree, vapeable if it was the best there was but in this day and age not worthy.

Man, how do I get my hands on some of the DIY???

:)

So I just built my first coil for A+ aros! It's the most pathetic thing you ever saw. My 28 guage is lost in the mail, so I grabbed some 32gauge that BeardedVapr sold me along with an Igo W and L, and went to work on a nail I found in the toolbox. The first one came in around 2.1 ohms, so I scrapped that, and figured if I twisted the wire together in a pair, I could get a closer diameter to 28gauage. I don't remember how many wraps - maybe 9/10? I dunno, the bushmills is making it harder, but after like 45 minutes, I had a 1.1ohm twisted coil! Couldn't get it to compress right to a micro coil despite everything I've read and tried, so screw it, loaded up some organic cotton with the DEVIL DOG! in my little igo L and threw it on my nemesis clone with a fresh 18650.

OMG! This stuff is killer! This is how I thought BGB was going to taste. This is absolutley killer with a bitey cheap whiskey like bushmills. There's a smokyness, a definite burley taste, and funkiness almost like perique (I can't remember exactly what's supposed to be in this), but I'm loving it! A sweetness from somewhere too, I can't figure out just yet. I don't know if I could do this all day, but for a nightcap, or while hanging out while I throw something on the bbq smoker...ohhh mama...I was so scared of this juice, but I am really enjoying the hell out of it!

I can't wait to see what this actually tastes like when I learn to wrap a decent coil. I can crank out size 24 tricos and midges in my fly tying vise, but this is definitely a little trickier :)

The sweetness is (likely) from the Virgina.

Looks like you're down with the Latakia dropkick. That opens up options for similar awesome vapes down the road. Be sure to pick up Apache from MOV and Balkan from NETcom.

28ga will be much easier to wrap than 32ga. Twisted wire like you made is a solid option too, a lot of people swear by it.

Oh yeah, BecknCo,

Artistic Wire's Coiling Gizmo Deluxe Econo Winder - Lima Beads

They are out-of-stock now, but sign up for the notify. Man, I bet the owner of that store is wondering why that jig is flying off the shelves! Vapers pounce, don't we? LOL

Lol yeah, after I saw that deal posted on a thread I reposted it on 3 others. I wasn't surprised at all when I saw it was sold out yesterday. Mines out for delivery right now, will be fun to play with.

There's other places to get that gizmo, that was just the cheapest place someone found. Amazon has it.

Mine should be here today.

In NET news: nothing much for me to report except for vaping on Hangsen's Highway. LOL (well, it's made from tobacco.

Oh yeah, when talking coffee+NET, Jerms, have you tried eBaron Brasilero? That is a fantastic eliquid, but the tag to buy it and get it shipped makes it hard to swallow, erm, vape.

(Never mind. See below)

It's on my list to order from Giant Vapes but I don't see it listed right now under their eBaron juices. Maybe it'll be stocked up when I order next.

On the phone with Mike from Giant Vapes and he's telling me that HoL (EBaron) has had to discontinue Brasilero because one of the flavorings is too hard to source (or something to that effect). He said that if HoL manages to get back up and running with that flavor then he will carry it again, but as of now, it appears it's gone for good.

IGO S is a great place to start and cheap to boot. I run a 1.5 mm coil pushed out as close to the air hole as possible and almost touching the deck.

I believe I read on one of these threads that there was a preference between IGO-W and IGO-L, don't remember which way the discussion went, but I think for the W but don't remember why.

Here now it's IGO-S for 'ginners due to 'small chamber' being preferable with other things equal.

I looked all these up, so what device does the S fit being such a small diameter? or does it matter being a 510 connection?

And is the 'small chamber' advantage due to less juice being dumped between sorry a** builds? :D

Just askin. Not pretending to wanna start rebuilding.

Any of the IGOs fit on anything with a 510 connection. The difference between the IGO-L and IGO-W is the W has three posts for dual or quad coils.

I don't know the reason why smaller chambers produce better flavor, but the difference is substantial. The flavor is stronger and more saturated. I think that's a big reason the Kayfun's offer such great flavor, much much smaller chamber than a genny. Though now there are chamber reducers sold for gennies to give them better flavor.

Mann, this coil winding gizmo is sweet! The second smallest rod is the one to use, not the smallest.

I just ordered 60 mils for around 60 dollars from some us vendors. This to me seems extremely pricey. I'm anxious to see how they compare to hengsen juice, which to me seems like the best deal out there for a NET type of juice.

What did you get? Quality American made NETs are found much cheaper than that.

While Hangsen may use real tobacco to get the flavoring, it's pretty far from what we consider to be NET.

Probably RBFS! LOL. If that's what was purchased, though it's expensive, it's really good.

Hangsen is to real tobacco as real fruit is to Starburst. Sure, there is some "real" fruit juice in a Starburst, but no one should ever expect to taste real fruit. There is some real tobacco essence in Hangsen tobacco liquid, but no one should expect it taste like real tobacco. It's tricky but it's really simple.

Myvapejuice.com and moutain oak vapors. I'm sorry two 30 mils from each vendor. HAH. It was kind of late last night when I ordered, so that seems to fair a little better in price.

Mine is here today, but it's at my other house. I will get it as soon as I can. Thanks for the tips.

As far as I know, Hangsen uses proprietary Tobacco Absolute made in-house to flavor their natural tobacco series juices. I have them---Hangsen Delight, Impulse, and Storm. They all scream TA and don't taste anything like the NETs we discuss here.

Try some of the ones from Caterpillarvapes. Flue-cured, usa-mix, etc...But yeah, not a NET.
