Just passed my second anniversary of no cigarettes! Had a bad cold hit me a couple of weeks ago, making everything taste like crap, so I quit vaping! I was vaping 12 mg juice and vaped a couple of mls the first week, then quit cold. It was far easier than quitting smokes lacking almost all of the dreaded cravings and withdrawal pains.

I'm finally getting my daughter interested in quitting smoking so I'll use most of my gear and basic supplies with her. I have a large stash of NET extracts (from others as well as my own) that she can't possibly use up, so if you're interested, PM me. I've enjoyed my time on ECF, particularly this thread, and credit it for helping me remain cigarette free.

Congratulations ! I am glad it was so much easier for you than getting off cigarettes. You have made a decision that i will have to make some day as well. I would keep some basic gear and pg/vg/nic and extracts, just in case you have the urge at some point and you're tempted to have a few puffs of a real cigarette.

Congratulations again !

Johni, sorry to see a good contributor like you to this thread leave. However, under the circumstances, with quitting analogs and vaping, I am glad for you. I have always liked your extracts and would still use them, but I have to make my own now, completely free of propylene glycol.
I hope to see you again as a BBQ judge when the class for judges is set for net month. Stay in touch and stay well. :toast:

Awesome job my friend! Congrats! You've been a big contributor to this thread so of course you'll be missed, but I'm very happy for your success.

Just a quick shout out to Diane at MVP. I ordered some of her newer cigar extracts and just mixed up the RP Edge Sumatra. Early on, I asked if she'd do an Edge and this is it. My only experience with an analog is an Edge Maduro, but this one is really good. It's complex and a little spicy/sweet, which holds true to a Sumatra wrap. I mixed it at 20% concentration and 15% Nic (ordered the extract). Really good and I'm pretty sure this is one done with her new method because the flavor is notched up nicely. It's a pleasure and so is she. If you're looking for a great cigar vape with a slight twist I'd recommend putting this into the rotation.

Your influence throughout this forum and the entire internet has been truly amazing. At work I have met people that have come to this exact thread for real tobacco. You truly will have a lasting legacy.

got it!

So question, I have juice that tasted grassy last week which has let up since then but then I have another that tasted great a week ago thats now tasting grassy. Ideas? these were both small 10ml batches I made from already strained concentrate.

Boomer told me to use a drop of apple cider vinegar per 5ml to remove the grassiness but how to avoid it in the first place?

Great news. I hate to see you leave. However, I am glad you were able to completely kick the nicotine habit.

I tried out MVJ's Sutliff Private Stock - Blend 5. It is the closest thing to a cigarette experience that MVJ has in my experience. It is a Burley, Latakia, Virginia blend. On my Evod battery (more open air flow) it was very Latakia forward with a slightly sweet Virginia and non-descript Burley. It had a very smokey taste that left the Latakia coating my buds. On my MVP 2.0 everything blended better. The Burley and Virginia combined to remind me of some cigarette I smoked a long time ago. The Latakia forward part of the blend gave it a more realistic feel with the deep smoky taste and texture. Even the after taste felt kind of like an analog.

It is a top notch blend and one I would recommend to people looking to quit cigarettes or those that have those occasional cravings. I don't think it is something I could vape on a regular basis though. I've become cigar obsessed lately and even slipped twice this week. So, this will probably be something I keep in the steep box for rough days.

Oh, and by the way, Diane's La Gloria Cubana juice is more flavorful than the analog equivalent.

Diane's juices are really some very fine extracts on the market today. I agree with you on the Sutliff Private stock - Blend 5 . Her Ashton's - Artisan's Blend and Sutliff Private Stock - Westminster pipe tobacco, in 100% VG because I'm allergic to PG, are fantastic examples of what can be had from her NET's.
currently I have asked her to investigate a few tobaccos I think could be a winner if extracted. She is a GEM. :thumb:
