Now that makes more sense to me! I doubt I could wait that long before sneaking in at least a couple "test" vapes.
Running to the cupboard to mix and :vapor:

I thought you meant mixing the whole extract, I always immediately mix two bottles of each finished extract for vaping, 5ml & 15ml, using the 5ml after a two hour steep and the 15 after two weeks.

Merry Christmas, Merry Hanukkah and Merry FestivusForTheRestofUs to all from south Texas. I started this journey as a health matter and it's turned into a beautiful hobby thanks to all of you through the learning and advising and pointing in the right direction.

Happy Holidays to all :toast:

I prefer to consider it a lifestyle change... never thought I could do without the stinkies :vapor:

MVJ 5 Vegas Classic (11 day steep)

Since I'm stuck at work on Christmas, how about a review. lol

5 Vegas Classic is a blend of "Cuban-seed" Dominican and Nicaraguan filler bound by a Nicaraguan leaf and wrapped in a Sumatra leaf. It is a pretty interesting mix of leaves, but nothing wholly unusual. What is unusual for me is the Nicaraguan tobacco. In this incarnation it doesn't carry the high levels of spice I would expect. The spice stays red pepper but it is well balanced for extra dimension. The great surprise for me is the amount of Dominican tobacco in the mix. It is rich and earthy which helps the mix build a solid, smooth low end. With the pepper flavor it sets a nice solid foundation. Then the Nicaraguan flavors come in to build up the midrange so that the Sumatra's high end doesn't seem disconnected from the whole. The Sumatra lends a nice herbal/berry note along with the taste of a brighter tobacco. When it all gets rolling there is a nice mix of dark tobacco, wood, herbal hints, nuts, and bright cigar leaf.

It isn't overly complex and it doesn't play like a 6 year aged super premium. This is a great vape for when you just want to relax, enjoy a very solid cigar taste, and let it compliment whatever activity you are engaged in.

I want to add another positive post for Ether Vapes. I've tried the Classic Caramel ( both versions with caramel and butterscotch), Vanilla Skyes, Dark Skyes, and a few other ones. First off, all of them have been really good. I first went to his site because of the butterscotch tobacco flavor. I have been looking for a good one for a while, and I had tried the one at MVJ way back when, but I couldn't ever taste the butterscotch in the juice. I could always smell it, and it smelled awesome, but the tobacco flavor over powered it for me. Anyway, when I tried the one at Ether Vapes, it was as close to perfect (for what I was looking for at least) as possible. Very nice balance between the flavors and a very nice tobacco flavor. As tends to happen when I like something, though, he was taking it off of his site due to concerns about diacetyl. So, I PM'd and asked about a diacetyl free version. Vash, who runs Ether Vapes, said he would look in to a diacetyl version of the butterscotch. He also offered to add more caramel to the newest iteration of Classic Caramel (another awesome juice, btw) to give it a little more kick. Anyway, to keep this short and not bore you with the much longer version of this story, Vash has gone WAY out of his way to be helpful and to keep my taste buds happy. And he's added a bunch of options on his website to give as many flavor options as possible, keeping everyone happy. So, if you haven't tried Ether Vapes yet, do so. Totally worth it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Miracles.

I don't buy retail NETs very often anymore, since I have a large stash of homemade natural tobacco macerated extracts---50 of my own and another 50-or-so from my home-extractor compatriots---but what the heck, it's the Christmas holidays, and that's a great sale.

I ordered six bottles---RY4, RY4 Extra, Branded, Duke, Cuban Perfecto, and Smuggler's Fire.

After they've arrived and had a bit of steep time, I'll review them all on the thread. As far as I can recall (aided by a quick thread search), Frankenmeizer is the only thread NETizen who has reviewed any of the Smug natural tobacco juices. His opinion was that Hump is good, Branded OK, but that all the rest he tried were meh, and that SmugJuice's NET offerings generally fall into the not-ready-for-prime-time category. In short, Smug doesn't merit A-List status. Between his reviews and mine, we should probably have enough info to move Smug into one of the Tiers.

Given Frankenmeizer's acumen, my hunch is that I'll be taking one for the team with my purchase of Smug NETs, but that's OK.

Trying Blue Danube from MVJ again. After 1.5 months it is much more complex. I've also started letting my clearos sit for about 20 minutes before the first puff. It really saturates the wick and improves flavors.

I've actually been reading reviews of the analog to try nailing down the flavors. Vanilla, honey, fruit, and berry are all pretty obvious. However, there are a few more that are hard to nail down. The guesses are nearly as varied as the reviewers. There seems to be some fig in there and a bit of spice that I can't nail down. This is a complex blend that will leave you scratching your head.

To me the honey and floral notes can be perfume like at times. However, that is light years better than the raccoon piss you get with most honey flavored vapes. If you like fruity aromatics it is definitely worth a shot. It is a good juice, it just isn't in my wheel house at the moment.

Been vaping Red, White, and Blueberry from NET.com this evening and loving it. It is only 10 days old and has changed significantly in that time. At first, the blueberry was dominate with a indistinguishable tobacco finish. However, today, the blueberry toned down and the red Virginia is there along with a smokey quality which I assume is the toasted white burley. Probably going to vape it for the rest of the night and put it away for a week and see how it morphed; want to see if the tobaccos distinguish themselves a little more. Although, I will say it is pretty good right now and is a must try if blueberry tobacco is your thing (much like it is mine).

I am also vaping this delicious juice today. Mine was made on 12/05 and i am vaping it for the first time. Never vaped a blueberry tobacco before so i have nothing to compare it with. There was a strong blueberry scent as soon as i opened the bottle so i was pleasantly surprised with the tobacco impact. Definitely the most aroma ( all blueberry ) of any N.E.T juice i have tried so far. Not as smokey as Uncle BJ's blackberry but there is a slight bite to it which must be the toasted burley. I would say it is a medium bodied tobacco and the blueberry is very natural. I only have a 5 ml sample and it won't last past tomorrow. Really nice blend.
