Waiting on my net.com delivery...is a good thing as I am preparing by learning rta and rda builds, and of course it steeps in transit. Left usa on the 5th, probably mixed on the 4th, going to be 3 weeks old when it gets here...almost ready...will vape the first in Xmas eve and comment then...probably be raven or the ruins. Or French Brune or....no actually one of those three.

To op asking which to vape...speaking spirit really started to improve for me the last time 2-3 weeks after the mix date. I am sceptical of steeping, it sounds like burn in in hi fi, but I am sure it changed considerably...or am I?

Just trying a new dript on the subtank nano, prebuilt 1.2 coil...

ST057 DRIP TIP - Delrin

Got the Delrin version and it is fantastic. Not huge throat hit with 50/50 but nice mtl. Beats other dript tips by combining long with wide at mouth. Bought it on a whim and after trying on a Gs air m thought that will work nicely in the subtank!

And nicely it does work. Lots of vapour mind, considerably more than most mtl tanks.
That's an interesting drip tip I'll have to try a long tip like that some day!

I didn't realize a package took that long to get to the UK! I too think net.com nets improve with a few weeks seep, my favorites these days are sun cured Turkish, organic spirit, and pure Virginia. :)

After leaving usa the last batch took 5 days to show as arriving in UK -'customs I guess. This time it's 7 days and counting...

Probably busy as Xmas approaches.

The sun cured Turkish is in the order this time, tried Izmir/oriental last time and loved it.

I have ordered again the smoked latakia, dark fired, pur virginia and the sun cured turkish.

1 week to UK and 3-4 weeks to germany ? Perhaps you have to do my order next time and have to ship it to germany...:smokie:

I cant see something new on net.com. There are so many kind of tobaccos to extract but only the same juices. Clay could extract the drew estate muwat kentucky cigar with fire cured tobacco. This could be really good !

OK, first update. Tried the Big Spirit and the Fire Cured Burley and I have to say that I am impressed by both. I find the spirit to be mild and a little weak on taste, but the Burley is outstanding.
Very strong, smokey taste, good TH and overall very powerful profile. I like it. Although I've only tried two of my NET order, I can say with confidence that I won't be paying the premium to vape BN going forward. I am sure that I can find both an ADV and change-of-pace liquids in NET's lineup.
Good call and thanks to everybody who made the recommendation.

Going a little nuts for DIY NETs lately. Just ordered four more varieties of tobacco for blending. Surprising thing is NETs are cheaper to make than juices with flavorings. My flavored juices are coming out to 5 cents/ml for ingredients; my NETs are just over 3 cents/ml for ingredients.

Certainly helps with my daily rationalizations about spending so much on hardware. o_O

Oh, yeah. A huge side benefit to vaping is the wisdom that comes with it and the ability to rationalize excessive and impulsive spending on vape-related items. If you buy a bottle of Slim's e-juice, you can afford an auth K4. If you buy a Tobecco clone, you can indulge in 5P juice for weeks... we all know how it goes. And if, at the end of the day, you fill your authentic K4 with Five Pawns, it's still OK, cause it's still cheaper than smoking. And if it's not cheaper than smoking, then it's healthier, and NOBODY CAN ARGUE WITH THAT. :rickroll: :D

My experience with Big Spirit was it took about 3-4 weeks before it developed. It was rather weak or had a non-existent flavor until then. Once it developed, it was a full flavor NET. It is kinda amazing how they change over time. Looking forward to the post when this same thing happens to you...LOL

Never tried to shorten the steeping process. It was tough at first when I did not have that many NET's handy. I vaped most of them before they were to my sweet spot. It was over time when I built up a good reserve of them (buying in bulk on good sales), that's when it became easier to let them age. Now I just go into the cabinet and find whatever type of tobacco I am in the mood for. But it took time, and many sales, to get to this place.

No idea about how Clay works his magic.

Is here someone who has really tried to shorten the steeping ?

Of course there has... it can be done to an extent but it isn't the exact same as just letting them steep naturally...

There are a couple of things going on when we steep... one is just the flavors and juices continuing to mix more thoroughly... you can help it along by shaking the bottle often. Then there are the chemical process itself, things like oxidizing ( ie oxygen getting into and breaking down some of the chemicals in the flavorings ). After you've shaken the bottle, let it stay open a little while and then cap it off. Combining those with a little heat helps also... ie put the bottle into a hot water bath for a bit but not so hot it softens or melts the bottle ( if plastic ). Most labels will get messed up when doing a hot water bath, so you may want to transfer the juice into another bottle temporarily while doing that or expect to have to relabel it once finished.

A nice member on one of the Tobacco Extraction threads recommended this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BROV02?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I got one and it's helped a lot.
ie put the bottle into a hot water bath for a bit
Also been sticking my liquids in a rice cooker on extended warm at 100 deg (using a little thermometer.)

But, as has been said, it's time that does it best.

Wow, good thing I ordered 2 bottles of Big Spirit, cause I already killed the first one without any steeping. Great stuff, I am very happy that I discovered it with the help of this place.

Others have also mentioned ultrasonic cleaners help the mix as well.. almost forgot about those

a couple years ago I read a story about a fellow that took a drill from his workbench and a clean nail. he bent the nail slightly and dipped the nail into the extract and foamed it up on full speed. he whipped it up once or twice a day for a week. He claimed the result was just as good as liquid he has steeped for three weeks. I only bring this up as a possible "cheap" answer to a quicker steep.
