Does anyone know a tobacco that doesn't have that funky-grassy-hayish taste? I have tried many Virginias and they all seem to have it. Burley also has it but to a lesser extent. Of all the NETS I have tried, Patriot from Goodejuice comes without that funkiness. I wonder what goes inside, but the description says Burley, Virginia Cavendish and Perique.

Sometimes it may be the way a
juice is mixed rather than the NET flavoring itself. GeJ has a ton of NET's that hit the spot. MOV also has a nice lineup of NET's, Full Flake Virginia is one of my favorites.
Boomer hit this one on the head. Some tobaccos just taste that way because of how they're extracted.
He's also sampled more commercial NETs than I have, so his MOV rec is likely spot-on.

I'm not sure if you've tried any of NETCom's smoked or toasted tobaccos, but those generally are a delicious change of pace if you want to spice things up a bit. Latakia is too intense for some, but I found that many steep well and grow on me.
Perique ...well, besides being one of my favorites, the several different varietals of Perique can have a "funk" to them, or none at all. I know that's utterly confusing, but each person seems to get a different take on the flavor.
I find that Burley has more of a nutty flavor to it, Virginia is many different shades of earthy, smooth and sweet depending on the types used, Perique is a good seasoning for many blends and some of us love it straight up, and Cavendish can be one of a couple styles made from Virginia or Burley tobacco. Latakia reminds me of old family reunions and campfires, so good memories associate with that one and make it easy for me to "fall into" the juice searching for what I like about the flavor.
Keep in mind, there are many methods of preparing and blending said tobaccos, so the flavors can get quite complex, delicious, and very interesting.
Patriot is a solid juice, and one I haven't had in quite some time. I actually liked everything from GeJ besides Analog, which was pretty much straight up smoky grassy-hay for me. I believe someone kindly sent me a bottle of it, needless to say I never ordered it. If you like Patriot, there are many NETs that will fit your style.
Vita Bella was a good steeper, and one that generated many positive comments about its smell in the room. A must-have if you like a good, natural vanilla tobacco. Just be prepared to let that bottle sit for a while before vaping it unless you dig it fresh (it gets way better with age, IMO...but this oft was a subject of much discussion here once upon a time)
I actually even enjoyed their take on RY4 and the Organic Tobacco #1. OT #1 is a bit sweeter than other tobaccos, but has a good body and earthiness that kept me going back to it until the bottle was empty.
As far as NETCom goes, well... for me, it's like being a kid in a candy store. I love the straight tobacco flavors Clay offers. Balkan, Bombay, Gypsy Brunes, Poilu, Coventry, Dover Court, Chris' Blend, Black Cavendish and
Natural Chocktaw Perique were my favorites.
For the hybrids: Uncle BJ's Blackberry Burley, Pumpkin Pie Tobacco, and Hot Chocolate Tobacco were all pretty good...though if you like amaretto, Shunji's Delight might be up your alley.

Hey all,
I know NETs are coil killers, but thought I would just seek a little advice here. This could has had around 10ml of NET through it, I have dry burnt it and used the water steam cleaning method.
It is Kanthal and has this slight surface coating to it. Should this coil just be ditched or is it okay (safe) to keep using. I don't mind regular changing of
coils but 2
tanks of juice seems to be pretty full on to replace ??
I'd still use it. Mine are 316L SS and have began to develop a dark precipitate after two dry-burns.
When I dry burn before re-wicking, I generally just let them cool off and then use a wet napkin or cotton swab to try and wipe the gunk off of the outside. I used to quench back in the day, but I don't really see much need for it after the stuff burns off and the outside is wiped down.
As far as safety? Well, using new coils every time your coil gets a permanent crust is probably "safer", but I don't really find it's worth the time to wrap two new micros every couple of hours. A lot of discussion on precipitates from different coil metals has been had around the internet (though, there can never be enough safety discussion IMO)
In the end, after all I have read I am still more concerned about the gunk that forms on my wicks than anything that could form on my coils. It has the most direct, noticeable effect on my vaping and how I "feel" the TH changes alongside this.
That being said, I still dry burn because I'm not a big fan of that "crust flavor", and I feel it too has an effect on taste and TH.
Long story short, it should be fine.
I only get irritation when I try to vape on an uber gunked wick and coil combo. Generally, the flavor dropping off is my sign to stop vaping, gently dry burn and replace the wick. If that fails, new coils go on. I've found that vaping past the point of flavor dropping off isn't desirable. My dry-burning a SS coil is probably more hazardous, if anything.
