All over the place
I'm not trying to say anything incendiary here or to cause panic, but, on moral grounds, I feel that I must say this before anyone tries these new goopy NETs:

The reason I have not tried them yet is (due to the fact that it does not look like any other NET that we know, and looks highly suspicious at that) is the possibility that we could be looking at mold or bacteria. These things love sugars and organic matter, and I won't try this juice until all of the facts are in. I would advise that others show similar restraint.

I have gotten all my initial anger out and decided to err on the side of compassion. Compassion for those that bought it and wasted money and compassion for the maker who may have been doing her best with what little she knows. I think you are more likely to learn from someone and or help them by looking them squarely in the eyes as opposed to looking up at them in wide eyed admiration, or by looking down on them with squinted eyes and a furrowed brow. I think Tez is right though, I would NOT vape that stuff, but I do believe that someone, possibly one of us that has ordered it, should tell her that is not how NETs should look or maybe even give her advice, like luce suggested, on what to do.

My idea for what she could do -- and I am not being funny -- is scrap the idea as it stands and consult with other vendors that know what they're doing. Re-launch with free make-up orders for those that previously purchased it. Considering her batches will be markedly larger than any home DIYer, she would be best served by contacting a specialist. I know Wlad does consulting, so maybe she should speak with him.

Interesting points, Tez. I'm kinda glad I didn't dig in to my sample this weekend. I was planning on it, but I was too distracted by all my Ahlusion and Goodejuice! I had pretty high hopes, but not so much anymore.

Sidenote: Patriot+Vita Bella (50/50) = another fun GeJ blend. Some may think I'm looney-tunes for tainting Patriot, but oh, no no no, these two juices were made for each other ;) Try it if you never have!

Maybe this could work for that. SMOKTech Double Barrel

My first thoughts after looking at the pictures... Mold. It doesn't look like tobacco particles, and they honestly HAVE to have strained it, that is a no brainer. So I actually agree with Tez... Try at your own risk. I will look forward to hearing more about the samples and bottles people already ordered and are stuck with for now. There is no way it has come out of solution to that extent, or some of our other NETs would be breaking down too?

And some news on a happier front... I broke down today and hit enter on an order for this new piece   :D

dsc06836.jpgdsc06837.jpgdsc06838.jpg

I will be rolling with a shorter Churchwarden stem for now, the 8" is a little too much, haha... And a silver drip shield from Empire. The drip shield will be perfect, since it is made for the ego connection and will cover the threads. The stem I got is smoky, translucent gray, and has white smoke streams rolling up it. I am so amped... I wish I could drive to GA to pick it up, hehe.

P.S. Empire Mods rocks, sent a free Holiday drip tip... Not my favorite style, but still really freakin' cool.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm trying to filter it myself right now. It's pretty gnarly right now. That taste was a dirty tobacco, not like TA but not that clean, smooth HHV-like experience. Maybe it will be you, Mann, to help this one out since you're the tightest with Ahlusion than the rest of us. We all know Ahlusion's premium tobacco line is dark and smoky but without residue so she can do it too.

On a brighter note, Diane at My Vape Juice emailed me today that her first go at a NET is set. She's going to send me a bottle to try. It will be the "My Hero Tobacco" that has a release date of 1/1/2013. She's using broadleaf tobacco grown in her own state, Connecticut. It will be a vanilla tobacco but I am not sure what vanilla she will be using.

Here's another great add to the story. After Diane made the extraction she is most happy with, she sent out her liquid to get the nicotine professionally tested. She wants to make sure everyone is getting the exact nicotine they order. This is a vendor I have high hopes for.

I don't think you're looney-tunes. Well, I don't really know you, Nick, so you might be looney-tunes for other reasons (LOL), but you're definitely not crazy for combining Patriot and Vita Bella to make a yummy Frankenjuice.

Frankenjuicing---combining two or more existing juices to make a hybrid juice---is both a fine art form as well as the Revolutionary Anarchist Movement of the vaping world: No rules. No structure. No taboos. No sacred cows. Do whatever the hell you want, and if you don't like the result, pour it down the drain and start over. No harm, no foul.

In the immortal words of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards: "You can't always get what you want, but it you try sometimes well you just might find you get what you need."

Case in point: Symphonie Fantastique, the 1:1 mix of Natural Perique with Organic Tobacco #1. Sublime!

I'm going to try mixing up a bit of 1:1 Patriot and Vita Bella right now!

Wicked, SP! That's one of several that I had my eye on. Thanks for helping me narrow down the list. :)

They still got the one like this but in Panga Panga which I liked as well (both are dark-ish red wood, which is what I was looking for), but I picked this one (Bubinga) for the tighter grain, and the wood has a amazing strength to weight ratio... Yes I spent too much time looking into this, haha... I am now an expert in exotic wood species and their scientific characteristics. This one is the Gandalf style, the name is kinda goofy, but I liked the shape... The other shape I tossed around was the Brandy, shaped like a brandy glass sort of. I will post some pics of me vaping it this weekend hopefully, fingers crossed... And I will be feeling like a true NET toker :vapor:

Off to run some new LR306's thru their paces with some Fire Cured and a french inhale or two, muahaha.

Nice, do it up Bill! Lemme know how you feel about it.

By the way, we may have to check with Scarf, but I believe the "Fantastique" is a nod to me for turning her on to that blend of OG1 and NP. It really is a nice blend, but I haven't had the urge to try it since I got Patriot. I think I posted about this a few pages back. Patriot covers a lot of bases! :toast:

Nice piece, Skinnie!

I agree with you on the shorter Churchwarden too -- you don't want to have to learn to fire that thing with your toe! That vapor would probably be pretty cold by the time it gets to your mouth too. Still, it makes a statement!

Hahah! That's great Skinnie. I'll prolly just end up using the eenie-meenie-miney-moe approach.

ps - I do like that panga panga one as well!

Hi Mr. Mann, no, haven't tried the new Guevera yet - planning on an order in the New Year though, so I'll let you know. As to the new NET on the market I do think someone with expertise should diplomatically broach the vendor, to at least have the liquid tested and ensure it is free of contaminants. I know many don't inhale, but I do and I would be extremely worried.

Agree Tez, the one I got is half that long... We will see how it works out in practice. The pipe bowl was the important part, I can try out different mouth pieces, they are cheap in comparison. With the ego/510 connection... There are a lot of options for what can be hooked onto it, and the mouth pieces all use Cherry Vape universal tips, so those too can work with a ton of products... I will probably go thru a couple iterations before I find the one that is best for me

I looked into the mold factor, and VG is actually used in pet food and such to inhibit mold growth, so that probably is not likely, thankfully... But I still don't think the stuff can just fall out of solution in that short of a time frame, unless it actually froze solid? And again, I gotta imagine it was strained through at least the equivalent of a coffee filter?

It was, and it is:)

I quite accidentally tried that Bella Patriot combo and agree it is yum. I filled my Reo with Patriot but didn't change the Vita-filled cartomizer, so I was getting a bit of each in every inhale. I might do that again, on purpose;)

Yeah, gotta admit that mine was quite accidental as well. Dropped some Patriot into an atty that still had some Vita B. It's like the ultimate-vanilla-pipe-tobacco experience. I haven't even been inhaling it much. Just grabbing a few whisps on the French inhale here and there. Amazing!
