One of the vendors I orderd from a lot in my vaping youth was Tasty Vapor. I was all into their bakery flavors (their blueberry pie and cheesecake are to die for). For the first time, I've just ordered their tobacco which is a NET, and probably one of the first on the market at that. I ordered it straight and in a DIY blend with vanilla and caramel. Should have it early next week.

Oh, and I'm having some issues with my MVJ order... this POPmoney that they use is not working with my foreign bank account. Anyone willing to help me out by paying them and receiving a paypal payment from me, pm me please. I am trustworthy in these matters.

Speaking of Highbrow, I grabbed a juice lot from the classies last week to get some Ahlusion Gold Rising and Honey Cured. The lot included Highbrow's French Honey Pipe. This is my first experience with anything from them. I tried it last night and was appalled. Nothing about this juice says French, or Honey, OR Pipe. All I get is peanuts and some weird, candied, citrus-like zing.

French Honey Pipe? getdafugouttahea

Ok... I'm far from being ready to post about myself, things I've tried up till now or anything ... I was going to get there after I've finally finished reading the whole thread but some info on this one needed mentioned...

Highbrow Vapor does not have a French Honey Pipe that is a standard selection. Bryan will customize an e-liquid as anyone asks so unless you were being a bit "cheeky"... if that is what the bottle states, it is a custom blend that was requested.

Here is what is posted for Highbrow's French Pipe though...

Highbrowbacco - French Pipe
A house favorite. Our take on a decadent golden flue-cured and black danish aromatic pipe tobacco flavor give this wonderful liquid its distinctive Cavendish flavor. A rich sweet flavor with notes of vanilla and cherry are faint on the back-end and not overwhelming with a wonderful throat hit at any concentration. This juice is available in a milder all day vaping flavor and a (now standard) more full bodied pipe tobacco flavor. Please specify which version you would like to receive in the "customize this flavor" box on the cart page.

I do order this one on occasion but find it a little bit sweet for my taste most of the time. It is still an enjoyable one when I'm in the mood for it. My palate is pretty ignorant as apposed to be a flat out idiot and it really needs some education... still I felt that it needed pointed out that it sounds as if this is a custom mix and probably shouldn't be considered a normal one from HBV.

I've been vaping three mediocre juices from a vendor that shall not yet be named. Two of them just aren't enjoyable for me, while one is passable. Thankfully, I took a Vurley break and everything seems a bit better with the world. Going through three enjoyable Alice in Vapeland juices and these three bottles of mediocrity has made me miss quality NETs more than usual. Sometimes, it's good to have these kinds of reminders.

Scarf, I just got an email from MyVapeJuice that they can now accept credit cards along with Popmoney.

I'll be interested on your take on TV. Can't recall their NETs being mentioned, maybe in some earlier posts.

Vaping Smooth Criminal tonight. It's good and performs remarkably well in a carto but probably not a reorder. I'm liking the more complex, bolder straight tobacco blends.

I'd first like to thank everyone here that has posted any info and reviews of all of the NET's that have been talked about. As has been mentioned time and again... the info contained here is invaluable.

My initial foray into vaping several years ago, showed promise but it was far from satisfactory enough for me to even consider following through at that time other than just to test the waters with the original Blu e-cigs. AFAIK, there were no commercial NET's at that time and I'm uncertain if TA's or TE's even existed. If they had, perhaps I would have gone further.

A year ago last Febuary, I decided to revisit them again and found the e-liquids and more importantly the devices were finally something worth my consideration. Now after that year, I'm still smoking real cigarettes but at least I've cut down from 2+ PAD to 1 or less. The first month, I was vaping the all artificial menthols... correction, for the most part they were mint.. None of them had any tobacco flavor ( real or artificial ) that I could detect. It was then, that I found out about Highbrow Vapor. I ordered one of Bryan's Menthol Tobaccos ( based on his "Exotic blend" ) and once received... found the taste almost cigar like.

Luckily, EleanorR was also visiting the HBV forum thread back then and she ( and others ) said to let it steep for at least a week and then come back to it. A week later, the difference was astoundingly different and everything I disliked had completely changed. I vaped that one for a month but I started to find it was actually too complex of a set of flavor notes for what I was desiring. Still, I ordered up some of HBV's French Pipe ( out of couriosity more than desire ) and the tabac de Perique. After these had steeped a week or so... I checked them out and found the French Pipe a really nice, though a bit too sweet, cherry/vanilla blend that did indeed remind me in a mannor of the pipe blends I'd had in the past. As for the Perique... it was funky, at least to me but in a very interesting way. I then tried out their RY4 and found the tobacco notes were subdued enough to be not to overly complex and surprising to find that I actually liked the carmel/vanilla in it as well. Up to this point... none of the desert, drink or bakery types of e-juices had any interest for me even though they were very tasty... they just didn't suit the desire I was trying to replace of a cig like the other tobacco blends were doing...

Having found, what to me was a decent vape even if not completely satisfying as a complete replacment for a cig.. I started focusing on the equipment side of things more... I've always been mechanically, electronicly and otherwise technically oriented... So it was easy for me to understand the equipment and how it worked.

My primary APV equipment is the VAMO and a Kicked Bolt... I'm using an AGA-T+ for my all day vaping and a IGO-L as my dripping atty. I'll also resort to my selection of Vivi Nova ( by Vision ), Evod and a few other odds and end clearo's. With the exception of one carto, the Smoktek Shorty which is nice for taste testing... I stay away from all of the other filler type carto's.

I'm focusing mostly on non-aromatic's for now... the aromatics are certainly something I have an interest in for a later time. I also have an issue with dealing with throat hit since I've been a heavy smoker for over 35 years... so the majority of the e-juices I select will be in the 6mg range... anything more just starts me off on a coughing fit right now which is a little bit of why I'm not looking at the aromatics very much yet.

Based on a lot of the previous reviews and recommendations that have been made here... the following is where I chose to start with in my quest to finally find a vape that will let me kick the cigs once and for all. My desire is such, that for a little over the last 2 weeks... I've read this whole thread.

My first order was with GoodeJuice was on Saturday, Feb 23rd and I received them the following Tuesday. The ones selected were primarily just directed at a few of their menthol line since that is what I'm looking for first and formost. These include only one NET and the others are from their Premium line instead of the House Brewed.

Products
------------------------------------------------------
1 x NET Menthol eJuice
Nicotine Strength Low - 6mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x Commercial Tobacco Menthol eJuice
Nicotine Strength Low - 6mg
Bottle Size 12ml
PG/VG Base 50/50
1 x House Blend Menthol Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Low - 6mg
Bottle Size 12ml
PG/VG Base 50/50

The NET Methol, before it is well steeped... is weak up to around 6w of power. The tobacco starts to finally come out at that power level but unfortunately... the TH does too which makes me back it back to the 6w range again in order to avoid coughing too much. The menthol in this one is very weak at all power levels I've tried. I even had a non-menthol smoker try it and they even said they could barely taste it. I don't care for strong menthol either... so you wouldn't see me with a Kool or Newport.. I want the tobacco to take front seat and the menthol to just freshen it up at most. I'll try GeJ's NET Menthol ICE version later... I was afraid that at first it would have been too much so I didn't order it this time.

While the other two aren't NET's... I'l at least say they are really nice none the less. The House Blend is straight up tobacco with a background menthol taste ( not mint btw ) and the Commercial one is and American blend with cocoa flavor in it. For artifical tobacco flavorings... they are the best I've ever had.

Later, after getting a bit more budget to spend... I added another order with GeJ to get many of the standard NET's that have spoken about. Ordered on Friday the 1st and they arrived yesterday on Tues. Since I'm primarily a menthol smoker/vapor... I did increase the nicotine to 12mg for two reasons, first Mr.Mann suggestion since GeJ's could be ordered higher without seeming as high as other brands and also because I intend to be sharing these with all of my friends whom are either just starting in vaping or I'm wanting to get them started. I also wanted to taste these flavors in their unadulterated form so the reviews I've read would make more sense and I could then start my own palate education to some extent.

Products
------------------------------------------------------
1 x Patriot Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x Natural Perique Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x GJ4 Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x Wild Turkey Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x Acadian Gold Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml
1 x Wrangler Light Tobacco eJuice
Nicotine Strength Medium - 12mg
Bottle Size 12ml

I really should have ordered these in 6mg instead... the TH is killing me for now. I can hardly turn them up to the power they deserve to be vaped at. I can say the Patriot, even though I only could barely taste the tobacco at 6w, has more cocoa flavor than I expected. The GJ4 is great, even at 6w but does still need cranked up so the tobacco notes would come out more ( at least for me ). The Wild Turkey is "in my face" strong.. lol and the Wrangler Light is also a very nice flavor even if I can't crank it up much as it needs. I haven't gotten to the Acadian Gold or Perique either yet but I do look forward to them.

Heathers Heavenly Vapes...

At HHV, I got two sample packs of several of the e-liquids that have been recommended here. Ordered on Friday the 1st and they arrived today. I've got all of the caps off for a day or two to ready them for a long step. I of course will sample them before I set them back just to get an idea of what they are like to start with.

Products
------------------------------------------------------
1 x E-Liquid 3ml Sample 4 Pack
Flavor #1 Legend
Flavor #2 Shadow
Flavor #3 Pirates Booty
Flavor #4 Huntsman
1 x E-Liquid 3ml Sample 4 Pack
Flavor #1 Dark Horse
Flavor #2 Dragons Fire
Flavor #3 Heavenly Tobacco
Flavor #4 Georgia Peach Tobacco

I haven't gotten to try any of these yet... I'll post back my initial impressions, be it what they are... after I do. I do hope to find that one of the non-aro's here will satisify me and not be overly complex since I can have menthol added to any of them. All of the others.. will simply be for the occasional vape when I fell like something with much fuller flavor.

Welcome rdsok! Good luck on your journey finding more NETs to suit you. I'm wondering if when you quit smoking or cut down a lot more, if that is your plan, that you may be able to handle more throat hit and higher watts. For me tobaccos vapes really lose a lot going under 6 watts. Btw, I use a VAMO too, and am really looking forward to getting an IGO-L!

That's interesting that the menthol house brewed was weak on menthol. That makes me interested in trying it, though it will be the last I'll try from GeJ. Normally like to keep my mint/menthol and tobacco seperate. I'm also interested in trying their synthetic lines tobaccos, but people keep talking me out of it and the price makes it easier to pass on them lol. Hope you stick around and post reviews.

Jerms,

Thanks for the welcome...

Plan? plan? are we suppose to have a plan? :D

My initial plan, as it were... was to first find out if vaping could replace my smoking. I found that out a year ago but just haven't found the right everything to have followed it through... and then there was the procrastination... :D

The VAMO ( or any similar APV ) is a big part of it for me... being able to dial in the right amount of power has helped greatly. I've also got a Puresmoker Legacy which is an excellent mechanical mod that also works well with the Kick that I have in my Bolt. For quick trips out and about.. I've got a Joyetech 510 automatic as well as a 350mah eGo. I had a ZMax v1 but sold it after getting the VAMO.

The throat irradiation and coughing... has increased in the last couple of months and is probably a lot to do with weather and alergies since I've noticed being stuffy every morning during that time... It's unusual for this time of year but it has been unseasonably warm for what is normal here... so some grass/weeds are still green in spots etc.

Still... the coughing etc... is what is finally driving me out of my procrastination of trying other e-liquids to look for the right combination of flavors etc. I'm also going to increase my VG percentage to see if having the feeling of thicker smoke and not just TH will help.

I was also really surprised by how weak the menthol in the NET Menthol was. All of the crappy ( insult intentional ) fake tobacco's are so covered up usually. I'm just hoping the NET Menthol ICE version is still a back seat ( small font ) menthol to the tobacco and just a bit stronger.

All of the GeJ juices start coming into their own flavors when the power is over 6w... my other ADV the HBV RY4 I'll typically run at 8w for best flavor for my own personal preferences... I suspect, if I get the cough under control, that is were I'll average on the GeJ's line as well.

Thank you all for your offers of help... Diane contacted me and told me about the new credit card acceptance....and gave me a coupon too. SHE had to remind ME that she promised me one! Because obviously I forgot. Anyway it's all sorted and I'm excited to try them.

Celebrating with Candied Cavendish in my AGA/Zombie tank, and let me tell you guys, it was MADE for this device. Scarf-dad, who is 82, actually commented apropos of nothing, "Why is there banana fog in here?" Just so

Thanks RD! I am having fun although I'm the only one without a cold. Enjoying lots of pizza:) Headed to Boston next week for a few days... have not been there since I was a kid which was a while ago;)

Besides MVJ and A+ I also have some AVE on the way. Tried to order some Cravin Vapes but my credit card wouldn't work. Might get a re-up on some Goodejuice while I am here as well. You might think this is excessive, but hey, all this juice together isn't the price of one good scarf ;)

Colds are no fun especially on trips... Kick up their Vitamin C etc... as I'd guess you already know...

As for the statement on being excessive... I'm in no position to talk after ordering 8x 12ml from GeJ and 8x sample sizes from HHV... Besides, I suspect the scarfs aren't as pricey as just one of my other hobbies either, so who am I to judge. :D

Flavor #4 Georgia Peach Tobacco

Out of the seven HHV juices I've had, this is the only one I didn't like. On paper it made complete sense; I enjoy HHV's tobaccos and these guys are from Georgia so they know peaches. In (my subjective) reality, it felt like the flavors were fighting. It was too much of a clash to be enjoyable. I didn't hate it by any means, but it's not something I'd buy again or recommend. A few HHV fans have mentioned that they also think the flavors clash. I'm curious to hear about your experience with this one.

Hi RD. Thanks for the list. I admire your perseverance in reading the whole thread. I've enjoyed your posts this far and look forward to your thoughts on your orders thus far. There are a couple on there I haven't tried. As far as I know Moondrop only has TA liquids but please correct me if I'm wrong. I might add that I actually do like their TA, I was surprised to find this out. Not a regular in my line up but nice when the mood strikes. Welcome to the thread:)

Looks pretty good. You did miss Velvet Cloud Vapor, which you may want to try as it has 100% vg for all their liquid and has a light throat hit.

He Jerms, VCV is a tricky one. They actually make their own TA for their juices. I feel that they teeter on edge of NET vendor and well a TA vendor. It's admirable that they do this in house but I find it hard to call it a NET due to the fact that TA imparts a very different flavor than your standard NETs. We might be able to call it a NETA. Hmmmmm

Ok... ignorance is bliss as they say... I can only defend my list by saying... plagiarism is not dead since I just copied a previous list. :D

While I can really claim ignorance on including vendors using TA, it wasn't my initial intent. Still with TA being in a grey area to some extent... I, just now, left the ones mentioned as using it and just put a notation in parens so both sides of that debate can be happy.... or neither one as it may be. :D . In no way, do I intend to debate this subject one way or the other.

I suspect that my thoughts on the stuff I ordered... won't be too elegant to say the least. When I said earlier that my palate was ignorant... it isn't an exaggeration. As an example on the NET Menthol... I believe I finally figured out what everyone means by having a hay like note in it but I'm still not certain that was it since I couldn't turn up my power to make the flavors stand out more. I also only have a concept of what "grassy" may be and I certainly have no idea of how the various tobacco notes should taste like yet... after all I am a cigarette smoker and not a cigar or pipe smoker even though I've tried them... If/when my throat quits acting up so much and I can crank up the power... I'll be referring back to other well worded reviews and see if I can learn more from them.

Until then... consider the following a first review ( of sorts )

Cough, cough, choke... cough, choke cough.... good stuff man... ( flashback to my younger days watching Cheech and Chong ) :D

This is true, it's the same extraction process as commercial TA and I believe results as a concentrate instead of an extract. Treading a fine line, do we consider the extraction process or the result of the extraction? I'd personally give it props as a NET, as TA in the commercial sense is easily available using one kind of tobacco, and also used in other applications, while VCV uses specific tobaccos types used only for their eliquids.
