I'm using silica and kanthal... IMO it doesn't lend itself well for SS or ceramic either. Cotton would also work well if you are looking for a natural fiber instead.

For new to rebuildable users... I'd suggest picking up some prebuilt coil/wicks that can be found around. You can usually find them between $1 - $1.50 each USD and those will allow you to use the IGO-L or other while you get up to speed building your own which aren't hard but are a bit fiddly at times.

Just asking out of curiosity. I've been doing silica and kanthal a couple months now on a Fatty clone. I'm not a fan of this dripper's design, though it was really cheap and good for learning on. It's a tough build as there's no posts, just screws that run flush with the base, so looking forward to the IGO. The IGO-L looks like it has plenty of room for a SS wick so I'll try that as it's suggested a lot to use SS in this thread, though I've been happy with the results of a properly set-up silica wick. Only dislike is the silica I have isn't the greatest quality and only lasts a couple days before I need to re-wick. I vape a lot of dark and dirty NETs so need to dry burn fairly often.

I gotta get me an rba! I've been amazed lately by how much better all my favorite juices are in my Joye 510 disposable attys! I'm guessing it has a SS wick bridge.? I just wish it was twice as big and bad!
I'm a pretty good fiddler and I use a Vamo so I'm seriously intrigued with this IGO-L thing. Could someone point me where to go and what to know? :) TIA

A SS mesh wick dripping or tank setup has been the absolute best for me and my NET vaping experiences. The capability to dry burn the wick without effecting the wick has been invaluable to heavy NET vaping. The flavor and vapor production is second to none. I have an IGO on the way and I can't wait to put a mesh wick in it and vape myself silly. The AGA-T2 have been by far the best affordable genesis style tanks I have found! That and a phoenix are the only JDS's I use currently.

Cool! Who did you buy your IGO from TCP? Where can I look at a AGA-T2 or a good Phoenix?

Nomo, pbusardo just did a video review on the IGO-L and shows how to to set it up with silica and kanthal. If you're interested in getting into an RBA there is a fair amount to learn. Dig through the RA section here at ecf. There's also a fairly big IGO-L thread going on. A lot of hardware vendors sell the IGO-L and the newer, smaller IGO-S, but they are sold out at a lot of places because how popular they are right now.

The IGO-L is currently sold out there at DiscountVapers. KindneyPuncher, VaporBank, SteamMonkey are sold out too.

I see CloudsofVapor has them in stock, for the next few minutes at least lol. They've been selling quicker than cakes of the hot variety. At $18 it's about $4 more than you can get it at other places, but still more than a fair price IMO.

Mine has black o-rings, Jerms. But I think the replacements were orange, will check later. I haven't had any problems with mine falling off like busardo mentioned. It's a really solid RBA, my fave so far of the ones I've tried. PHX, A7, DID Clone, IGO-L. It is *the* rebuildable for the Jazz epipe. I love it.

From what I understood, the black orings were from the newer edition and the orange ones were the looser ones. I was surprised to see pbusardo having problems as I've read the cap is pretty tight with the black orings. I've also read about one version having closer posts than the other but still confused about which version is "better". Either way, any version will be a big improvement over what I have.

I think pbusardo should have tried switching the orings to the spares he got to see if it was tighter.

Thanks for the directions fellows! I watched PBusardo vid and ordered a IGO-L from MVS. Great price! Thanks again Nick. I held off on buying wire and wick as they didn't have a good selection today and I guess it comes with a little something to get you started.
I noticed they carry the Smoktech Screw Tank. I bought one for my sister. These tanks hold 6ml and perform remarkably well with HHV NETs. They come with a 2ohm head so they'll work great with her Joye Twist that she got for Christmas. :) Extremely low maintenance, great taste and Clouds. I picked up a couple 3ohm heads for mine.

Hate to mention it but it appears you missed the following in MVS's description ... "Wick and wire sold separately"

Hate to further rain on your parade Nomo, but SteamMonkey just got some in today for $14 and they include a goode bag of 28, 30, and 32 gauge kanthal and a couple different gauges of stainless mesh, no silica though. But... all that stuff is pretty cheap anyways and easy to get so still enjoy your purchase!

Yeah I saw that and I heard PBusardo say it comes with a little to get you started. I figured I'd rather get the gauge wire and type of wick I want rather then settle for what they had In stock. No hurry. :)

That was KidneyPuncher who included the wick and wire that PB received.
