To the best of my knowledge, there has existed only two batches of DF extract. The current batch began its existence in late May/early June of this year.

Somebody here, I'm not going to say who, has officially lost her English mind..
To know that it's not so much of an issue with extraction or something like that, but likely more of an issue with not getting the "amount" correct or something along the lines of poor mixing -- eyeballing ---> Hmm...that looks about right. Don't you think, honey? Uhh, yeah, it looks about right.
The little bit of DIYing I've done I know that extracts and flavorings are not like cooking but more like baking. Exactness is called for more often than not. Try to eyeball some absolute with a little here or a little there and your cake won't rise. LOL
Also, though HHV didn't publicly tell their customers, last year when it was one of the first times they had "issues" with people saying something was "different," Adam told me that they changed their nicotine to a different supplier but he didn't think that the liquids would change from that. I thought the opposite and believed that any change can change a liquid. Oh, and I thought that batch of Gandy was different; that was when the oddities started.

I really don't think the extraction is the problem. It was with Gandy and Pirate's Booty, but not with DF. You'll get your chance when I get your package in the mail. I agree...it doesn't take much to screw up a bottle of juice. I received a bottle of (I forget what) but the mixing needle for that juice was stored next to the Huntsman needle and my juice had a distinct grassiness to it. It was just the residual of an alien flavor that altered it quite dramatically.
I'm withholding judgement on Huntsman until I get my new stash of it. Blackjack.. took about 3 months before I was able to make myself have about 3ml of it, then I PIF'd it.
The second extraction of Pirate's Booty (which occurred just before Xmas last year) did not yield the same flavor as the initial batch. It shared many of the same flavors but there was an Earthy note in the second batch that wasn't there with the first. It wasn't horrible but considering it was my fave juice at the time, any change was a disappointment to me. Thankfully, there was Dragon's Fire...PB1's identical twin!
So to date, the Gandy's changed with extractions as did Pirate's Booty. Dragon's Fire was replicated perfectly. Those are the only three I know that have been remade.
