I plan on doing Dulce next. It's similar to Sahara in a few ways to me, just doesn't click is well. I'll write that either today or tomorrow.

Fantastic SB review, Jerms. I'm very interested to read your Dulce Cubanito review... It's the only Ahlusion juice that has disappointed me so far. I'm terrible at writing reviews so I can't really explain what it is I don't like about it other than it tastes dirty to me and not in a good way.

The VB was very good after a couple of months but the House Blend, even after a long steep, had a very hard grassy flavor that was not to my liking. W2V's Rock Star was like that. I came back to the RS after 5 months and it tasted like beer. Not in a Beck's Dark way but a Miller Lite taste.

On the synchronicity front, After reading the last few pages of posts to this thread, I was about to post my "Yellow Snow" mix in the Recipe sub-forum. Guess I'll go and do that now.

House Blend? Not sure which one you're talking about Boomer.

Testing . . . WHEW!!

ECF has not let me copy/reply or even create a reply to post since late (Saturday?? Sunday??) afternoon -- incredibly maddening!!:mad::mad:

So, my QnJ samplers arrived in the mail Saturday -- all born in July (so a bit steeped). None smell like anything yet except Proudest Monkey and Vanilla Custard. I vaped about 2.5mls of Proudest Monkey last night: OH YUM!!! It is a fire-cured bacco with the best banana flavor I've ever tasted! :)

That said, I awoke today with a very scratchy, raw throat; coincidence?? I hope so! That PM is already a winner in my book, provided it doesn't tear up my throat! :vapor:

Fire in the Hole is the same as PM without the banana. Got any Lorann flavorings?

Uh, no. I've never ventured into DIY, and some flavorings (i.e., Flavourart) make me ill.

So now I know I like fire-cured; but without that yummy banana, I think it might be a very self-limiting vape for me.

Your willingness to investigate and report is commendable J. Thanks for doing that. I've never even checked out Darth Vaper's site, so will do that soon. Does distill refer to a different extraction method than maceration? I forget if you've mentioned about their claimed extraction method on this thread or if you've tried, or plan on trying their tobaccos. I suppose I could do a thread search.. but ummmm I'm busy lol.

I guess like Jef mentioned, their use of Star Wars in the site name has made my desire to look into them fairly low. And I LIKE Star Wars.

Yes, they are not leaf-in-solvent soakers, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are any better or not. Frankly, I like them, but I wish they could venture into straight-ups. Like my homie, I have a nagging suspicion that most of us have tried their extracts whether we've actually ordered from DV or not (just a theory based on common sense. LOL). ;)

Question for the Group:

I know the correct answer to "which hardware should I use?" is "DRIPPERS/RBAs", but that's simply not going to happen chez Eleanor. :D

Having established that, what are y'alls opinions on using T4s -- Liquamaxes -- Evods with most NETs? :pop:

I spend a lot of my day behind the wheel, therefore making dripping virtually impossible. I also have not had much success (or patience) using RBA's and RDA's; perhaps in the future though.

As far as clearos and tanks go, I have used pretty much exclusively Protanks and T3's for all my liquids, including NET's. Being that Evods are fairly similar to T3's, I can weigh in that they perform satisfactorily. I have experienced coil gunking coupled with tighter draws and some leakage through the bottom of the coils (like anyone else) but nothing more notable than with simpler/lighter juices such as hawk sauce or peachalopia (my own personal mix). The flavor might be just a bit muted in a clearo, but I have no problem sacrificing a little flavor for convenience.

In short, for me they perform adequately with NET's and while they may shorten the life expectancy of my coils a tad bit over other juices, I don't find them to detract from my vaping experience.

Edit: I do prefer BCC's to top coil; I just find that dry hits are few and far between with bottom coil vs. top coil.

Thank you! I currently use mainly mini-T3s (bottom coil); but a site I like to do business with is now offering mini T4-type clearos (top coil). I wanted to get some opinions before I drop a lot of dough on those. (I do realize top coils make for a warmer vape, which I think I would like with some NETs.)

Dulce Cubanito from www.ahlusion.com

The Juice: Dulce Cubanito, received June 3rd, at 50/50 vg/pg and 12mg nic. It's described as "Our take on a perfectly aged Cuban/Dominican cigar based on our bottom leaf extracts. Our Dulce Cubanito has a slight hint of Cherry." I personally haven't noticed any cherry note.

The Hardware: IGO-S build with Ekowool and Kanthal 28awg at 1 ohm on V3 Sentinel mech clone. ERA build with German silica and Kanthal 31awg at 2.6 ohms on VAMO. (I much prefered this one on the German silica build).

Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best.

Sweetness: 2.5. Dulce is a Spanish word meaning sweet. Much like Sahara Blend, this juice seems to fluctuate on how sweet it seems to me. It has a similar powdery mouthfeel to that one, but Dulce Cubanito has that a little less with a little more overall sweetness. It does lean more into the dry section for me than it's name would suggest.

Tobacco Impact: 3. Medium tobacco with a little complexity. There's some dark, oily tobacco notes I enjoy that provide a rounded, bassy feel I often see from cigar NETs. Alongside that is a brighter Cuban cigar flavor that tastes very synthetic and recognizable to me. It's a cigar flavor I don't get from real cigars or cigar NET vapes. I was hoping that with age, that part would diminish and the dark and oily flavors of the bottom leaf extract would take over, but that hasn't happened. To me the best cigar NETs, like those from Want2Vape, are made from a real premium, hand-rolled cigar. I don't think that's what Ahlusion went for, and I wish they did.

Vapability: 2. Dulce Cubanito tastes similar to another Cuban cigar vape I've had that I enjoyed but grew tired of. I don't really feel like grabbing for this often. However, with it's light sweetness, nice mouthfeel, and pleasant darker tones, I am able to enjoy it enough to finish off the bottle.

Flavor Accuracy: 3.5. Before ever smoking a cigar or having a cigar NET, this juice is pretty close to what I would have imagined a Cuban cigar vape to taste like. It just doesn't taste like a actual cigar or cigar NET to me, more of a take of an arti-bacco cigar vape.

Overall: 2.5. I've talked with others who enjoy Dulce a LOT more than I do. Ahlusion took a direction with their first cigar offering that works very well for some people. It's well made and I would recommend it to others who are looking for a cigar vape, but it's just not for me. That could change, it's happened before when a juice will click with me well past when I started it, and I have several ml left for that to happen. I'm not holding my breath, but will report if that happens. Right now it's the one dud from a company that makes many of my favorite tobacco vapes.

It wouldn't hurt to pick up a couple and see how you like them. They are a warmer vape; I had an iClear30 for about two weeks before giving it to a friend. It was a decent enough device, just didn't suit my vaping style, i.e., I get to chain-vaping and that top coil set-up ended up heating up the mouthpiece/drip tip on it to the point it would burn my lips. Besides that, it was a cloud maker and very flavorful, not to mention a juice devourer with those 16 wicks.

Comparing the T3s, Evod and Mini Protank... all are almost identical with the exception of the draw itself which varies some. I've heard the Mini T3s was like the Evod but I haven't tried the Mini T3s. Almost all of mine use 2.5 coils...

The T4's that I have are all have 1.8Ω coils ( since I use them on 510 auto's ). The flavor isn't quite as saturated but not that far off. There is a little more harshness to it... which may be from me using high VG ( 30PG/70VG ) juices... so perhaps slightly a dry hit maybe. The T4's also don't seem to like higher power/voltage settings... again I may be getting this somewhat because I'm vaping a high VG ratio and on a thinner juice it may wick well enough to make a difference.

On just a fixed voltage auto 510 ( Joyetech )... they work well considering everything but I make up for the lack of power/voltage a bit by just vaping stronger flavors like Blue Grass Burley as one example.

I just checked out DarthVapers website. They don't seperate the NETs from the arti-baccos until ya click on the juice, so I went through them. These are the NETs, some sound interesting and I'm kind of excited to check them out.

555 (yes, this one IS a NET! I almost didn't click on it assuming it's not. First NET I know of sold as a 555)

Applebacco (sweet apple, woodsy tobacco. This may be your red apple NET Jef)

B.F.F. (hazelnut tobacco)

Berserk (whisper of citrus. I really want to try this)

Black Cherry Tobacco
BlueBacco
CocoBacco
Cranbacco (Dover? Lol)

Ghost Peachbacco (white peach! Woodsy tobacco. Yep.)

RY4 (calling Bill)
RY5 (calling Bill again!)

Vanilla Tobacco (yeah I'll get it, it is a van-bacco after all)

@ EleanorR: I ran GeJ's Organic #1 in the T2 style Triton Tanks for about a month. Decent enough flavor, and wicked well -- no dry hits and decent enough vapor/TH. No problems. I'm not a BCC fan at all, especially for tobacco/NETs. The iclears work wondrously for them, however. And the dual top coils make a good warm vapor and the 16s have an analog type draw.

@ Jerms -- thanks for the heads up. I'll put DV on the list :)

You are definitely in the right place Doug. You landed plum in the right apple cart and you really hit the big time ordering Blond and London. There are so many other NET vendors out there and some really good ones but in terms of 'good' 'better' 'best' they only appear sideways next to those two juices.

There are so many others to try (and I am so far behind on this thread that I am sure others have advised you, but in case they haven't) look out for the following vendors of great NET juices:

Mountain Oak Vapors
Heathers Heavenly Vapes
Quick Nic Juice
The Plume Room
My Vape Juice.

and the list goes on but I am sure that will get you started.

Seeing as you have gotten love at first vape with Want2Vape juices I also highly recommend: Lousville, Paris, Managua and Alcazar. Although I have yet to try CI Cigar and Coffee Infused Cigar others who love W2v juices swear by them.

Thanks for the leads Anthony! I am a huge fan of Quick Nic, Grandpa's Nite cap really hits the spot for me. Kuba was good but I think I expected more? Gonna get me some Hump back and ouR whY qu4tro next. W2V Managua in my EVOD now, only a week out of the mail and it's really tasty. NETCOM's Cognac Infused is just an amazing vape fresh! Gotta get a couple more bottles now that the 15ml went in a week... I just couldn't put it down! One for now, one to age a bit and see the difference... along with Coventry and Cavandish. Still working on Balkan, another keeper fresh! I'm sure glad I didn't take up vaping to quit!
