Huntsman please. mmmm Huntsman.

Gorgeous artwork Shatner!

Forget the ex. They're called EX for a REASON dude. ;) My exes remain forgotten.

I'm a little obsessed with my tank of Maple Burley. It's letting me enjoy this juice all over again.

I have also wired up my Phoenix with a new 1.1 ohm coil in anticipation of the Kamry 100 that should be arriving ANY DAY NOW.

My RSST has vaped nearly its last drops of Brasileiro. What to fill it with next? Huntsman? Eden? Teabacco?

Jerms,

Ive been trying Micro-coils and fortunately I do have 28 gauge kanthal. I am doing 8-10 wraps and the flavour is wonderful as is the vapor, however, I find I can't get my micro-coil below 3.5 ohms. I've heard elsewhere that a really good micro-coil should be about 1.7-2.0 ohms.

Micro-coils are just perfect for NET's. It brings out so much flavour and that crackle is divine.

I am happy with my coil because it does fire immediately like a much lower resistance coil but I feel it would perform even better at 1.7-2.0 ohms. Any tips?

Good to know! Must be the nichrome that did it then. Only reason I used it for one of my drippers is the 30ga nichrome 80 is the lowest resistance wire I have. Need to get some 28ga Kanthal for my mechanical. I want low ohms while still making a micro with many wraps.

WOW! Your glasswork is gorgeous!!! Why aren't you making drip tips and tanks...get in there before Big Tobacco takes over!

:2c:
As far as relationships go, for what it's worth, I don't think every relationship needs high drama. In fact, I suspect it is a characteristic of an immature personality (male or female), or at least of someone seeking interior peace.

I admit, I was a highly 'dramatic' young woman at one time, but I have found, speaking only for myself, that life presents enough challenges that I don't choose to add unnecessary 'drama' to spice it up.

Keep in mind:

No-drama,-however-great,-is-entirely-independent-of-the-stage-on-which-it-is-given..jpg

Hey C, thanks so much for your compliments! It means soooo much when other people like my art. Because a lot of what I make I'm not 100% satisfied with it. I see all the flaws. Am I pessimistic? I dunno, just how I see it.

I don't make drip tips and tanks because it puts me back in that 'producton' routine where I loose focus of my long term dreams. Dreams that are even more attainable now that I have over a decade in glass art. I can't loose focus now. Plus, tips and tanks are too easy. It's absolutely NO challenge to me (I say that with the utmost humility, even though it doesn't sound like it.) I need it to be challenging for it to keep my focus.

If I was still a glass newb aside from pipes I'd rock out tank/tip setups.

I wish I could post some of my Pipework on here, but I know it'd get toned and I'd get points.

Scarfy found me on FB. She can see my pipe work. Friend me. I'm the one holding an HK416 (HK's modified version of the AR-15)

And I do agree that relationships don't have to have drama. I've been in a few that were pretty much drama free. Unfortunately it's not the norm.

Thanks to everyone that complimented on the glass. :D:toast:

Nice stuff there, Shatner! You a fan of Josh Simpson's work?

Yes, although he's a 'soft glass' (Soda Lime [103COE] furnace work. I work with an oxygen/propane torch, solid glass tubes and rods (borosilicate [boro] glass [Pyrex being a brand name, owned by Corning] aka 'hard glass' with a COE of 33 . I use the flame to heat and gravity to help shape. Josh uses a furnace to gather molten glass, works it on a bench, rolling it back and forth with assistants blowing in to the blow pipe (metal). Some people do work boro in a furnace. In fact, that's how the color company make tube and rod, color or clear.

I spin a small diameter tube (relative to the size of the work), we'll say half inch OD with a 4mm wall thickness. That's 'welded' to my work. I use the smaller glass tube as my blowpipe. Or I can heat a 3" section to molten on 40mm OD tube with a 4mm wall and then slowly stretch it to make my own hollow blow tube. It's called "pulling a point" In the pics below I'm using a point.

OK, not trying to spam or cause trouble or rustle jimmies, but pics help visualize working glass. Glass in a molten form is so foreign to most that it's difficult to understand. Here, you can has pics.

All of the design is on the inside of the tube. I flared it opened and layed stringer and latticino cane

Here I'm closing the flare:
19563_103859912970686_4153128_n.jpg

I'm taking excess glass off to get a nice 'termination' (where all of the colors come together at a single point).
15532_257733455224_4721902_n.jpg

Heat the glass until viscous. If you stop spinning (backward one rotation, forward one rotation, rinse repeat) it falls:
15532_257733480224_8161277_n.jpg

Then puff and pull/push very, very, very gently to shape:

15532_257733485224_6082368_n.jpg

Different angles while blowing make different shapes. gravity will pull the glass down, but your breath puffs out the 'shoulders' (the top of the molten part, right at the blowtube)

Thanks Scarfy! Thanks for finding me on FB, too. Your city is beautiful! And you're right. They are EX for a reason. But people do change.

If your ex looks anything like her, I say, twice is a charm. ;)

Actually, firs time I saw .gifs of this chick, I thought it was her. Had to do a triple take. And it would be a 3rd. ...!

Hey all, speaking of Facebook I would enjoy adding you to my Facebook and seeing you outside the wonderful niche of which this thread is based. Message me if you would like to add me. It almost sounds like a raunchy personal add. 'Add me. 1800 For a Good Time' lol.

Link me, baby.

So I medicated this morning (not working today :)), had coffee and installed a pre wrapped coil on wick on my IGO L on my Curve w/ Can and an Octopus ib my Atmizoo. Im going to give this a try. So far very tasty, a bit airy though. And holy cow, they burn through juice.

Ooh, I know. I still have my Vapists that hasn't seen a tank yet. In fact I will re-try all my Vapists, to see how they are coming along.

It is a horrible, cold and rainy day here. Won't stop me from checking the mailbox a few times. :)

Does it snow where you live? It still trips me out that when the Northern and Southern hemispheres are opposite in seasons. :)

Another note, I got Hey Jack from MOV yesterday. It's a definite Cavendish, no questions asked. It's a bit cloying to me, though. The maple is just....WOW. Very, very sweet. I'm wondering, if they see this post, if they'd dial the 'sweet' back from 11 to ~6. The flavor is good. Just too sweet for me for more than 3 drips/vape, 5 vapes.

It's the antithesis to Apache.

Micro coils should have a small diameter, around 1.5mm, which would give you 0.9 ohm at 10 wraps of 28ga. Mine are a little bigger than "true micro" size since I use a 2.5mm wick, so it would be around 1.4 ohms. How big are you making the bore?

Seems to be my day to hog the thread.

KAMRY K100 IN THE HOUSE! :)

Took me all of two minutes to figure out how to use. Looks great with a 18350 battery, almost palm-sized. Slightly gawky with 18650. I really wished I used conventional atomizers, because the matching drip shield is adorable. I got the "champagne" color which is actually a nice matte metallic taupe.

Got my low-ohm Phoenix on it... vaping some lovely clouds of Smokin' Cherries.

I really like those Kamrys. I wish there were a black one, though.

Had an odd experience. I've been vaping the cherry contest vape today on an ERA clone and was dissapointed by it's lack of tobacco notes. After vaping it for a while I wanted to try the vanilla contest vape to pick out the notes it has that the cherry doesn't. The vanilla lacked the tobacco notes I'd gotten yesterday too. Thinking I may be having a bad taste day, but decided to try it on the A6 I used yesterday. Boom, tobacco notes back for the vanilla. So I plan to try again with the cherry in the A6 tomorrow.

What's odd is, the drippers are about the same, both small with side air-holes, built with a micro coil on German silica. The only difference I see is, for the ERA I used nichrome 80, and for the A6 I used kanthal. Does nichrome mute certain flavor notes that kanthal doesn't? Maybe something else is going on?

Also, would it be bad form to post a less than glowing review on a vendor's thread or should I just post it here? That is if the cherry doesn't work for me tomorrow.

They're certainly lighter in the tobacco notes than other QnJ liquids. But that's intended. On my IGO-L with pre made coils there's tobacco.

So you know how you're on a vape supplies website, innocently stocking up on mesh and propylene glycol, and BAM a VV/VW mod just falls into your basket apropos of nothing? And on the day you just received another mod in the post?

Yeah. In my defense it was marked down to $29.95. Hopefully it (the Anyvape CVI) will turn out to be a good VAMO replacement.

Guilty as charged!

Beautiful artwork Shatner! I loove the dragon tail (last pic).

That's a marble with a spiraled fumed (24k gold and silver fume) dot 'implosion' and an opal (Gilson lab made) front and center.

Vapetrik released a new juice today. It's a tobacco with "notes of toasty spice" (maybe cinnamon?) and an "exhilaratingly cool sensation" (probably menthol).

So we have a tobacco that is hot and cool, spicy and minty.. I think some old-school vapers might be starting to catch what I'm slinging. Not following yet? Alright, here's the name of the new Vapetrik tobacco..

Joe Kuhr.

Is it like the original? I'll never know, never had the almost impossible to get juice. Never desired to try either, since it's not my style of juice. If it is though...

Because I can't decide on which I want to post.

Back to your regularly schedule NETs.

I'm enjoying BeeLiquid #7 and #233. They are very "honeyful" The tobacco is very light at 9W, which is really the highest I like to go, but comes out more in higher wattage. But these are lighter in color than the other few flavors I got. It's really bright tasting. I will probably reorder larger bottles of some.
