Jseah,

With the .5 he said I should go 3-6mg. Because the nicotine is in the vapor and you get more vapor. Does that sound right? So maybe I should get a 6 and 24 and mix down if needed... I don't have an interest in the nicotine high. But I don't want to screw myself either. I guess it doesn't matter much I can always run over and grab another bottle and just start with small bottles at first of the one flavor. Play until I get it right and use that to start with other flavors. I am probably just over thinking it. I do that. :) Thanks dear. Also, my daughter hasn't gotten me on anything but Criminal Minds. LoL. I guess I am lucky. :p

Pamela,

That's probably only if you're actually using the 0.5 ohm coil. The Subtank also comes with a 1.2 ohm coil and that was the one that I used. I was running it at higher wattages (for example with the Subtank I was using it at around 18-22 watts, with the nautilus and the 1.8 ohm coil, I am using it at 9 watts) compared to my other tanks and honestly I did not notice any significant difference in the volume of vapor that I'm producing. What I have heard is that if your nicotine content is too high, it is noticeable because the vapor will give you a burning sensation in your throat. I haven't used the Subtank since last week and honestly, I really don't miss it. How much vapor you produce is also heavily dependent on the juice you are using. Higher VG percentages will produce more vapor, while higher PG percentages will give you more of a throat hit.

I haven't bought any juice yet as I am waiting for my stuff to come in. It should be here tomorrow *crosses fingers*. The local store has a couple I want to pick up. But I am finding some online. Now the local guy mentioned that if I prefer to sub ohm then I would want 3-6mg because of the amount of vapor. To keep me from getting "nic sick". But generally camel bold would be what 18-24? I have found sample packs of various brands that look nice. I would be interested in going that route to try multiple flavors and brands, but I am not sure the nicotine. Should I just hold off and try the flavor I like until I decide if I want to sub or not? Then let that determine the strength? Is he right that I would need that big of a difference in nicotine on sub vs. non sub?

Thanks! =)

Depends on what wattage you vape at.

as a rule of thumb, you can use this formula as a guide:
nicotine strength = 100 / wattage.

Good call! Sounds like I should take advice from you haha my SO says I have a tendency to go "full tilt full time" on eeeevrything hahaha.

As far as the glass I concerned, there I a place by my house that has these polymer tank replacement for Atlantis tanks, third party built. They're tough as it comes. I f it becomes a problem let me know, I wouldn't mind sending one your way

I was a 3--40 a day smoker and quit using a Tesla VW MOD with Aspire Nautilus tank usin 24mg juice.
Obviously the Tesla is now a little outdated compared to what it out there now, I would recommend an iStick 50W with a good tank, the Kanger mentioned that can use both the pre-made coils and be used as an RBA would be an excellent choice as you are likely to want to rebuild to save buying coils as you will go through a heap of them in the beginning.
My approach was to have the last ciggie I had in the evening watching telly and then started vaping the last hour to hour and a half before going to bed, woke up next morning as an ex-smoker and haven't had a single one so it is defo possible for you as well, you will be surprised how little cravings you will fell when using a proper setup but be prepared to feel all the other side effect the first couple of weeks such as bad sleep etc..

I see a lot of people suggesting nic strength based on the amount of cigs they used to smoke, but I see it different, it should depend of the strength of the cigs you used to smoke...
if you used to smoke those capris even if it was 5 packs a day a 24 mg will be really harsh for you
on the other side, if you used to smoke some non filtered camels even if you just had 3 a day a 6mg liquid will be nothing to you

You have to be careful about using plastic tanks though instead of glass. If you are using citrus flavors, these tend to cause the plastic tanks to crack.

Wich shop did you go to? If you are looking for options in Katy I could point you to a shop that would have what you need.....I have visited most shops in the area. Katy,tx represent! Lol

LOL I am actually in Waco (Hewitt) now. I am trying to avoid going back to Houston at all costs but I may not have much choice. Already gave my word to a lady there that I would come help her with her kids. I absolutely hate the area though. I much prefer the slower way of life and not partying. =P But the shop in Katy was The Vapor Bar. Very nice lady the one time I went in there.

Very cool! Thank you. I know I have to also be careful about type of juice vs. material of tank. I am sure I will screw something up at least once. =P But I will definitely keep that on the table. Do you know what the general cost is for the polymer tank?

I already go outside multiple times a night for a cigarette. I have insomnia so if / when I do sleep it is for maybe 2 hours at a time before I am awake again. Who knows... maybe I will actually flip and finally start sleeping well again. =)

you are absolutely right and I should have elaborated on the material, it's actually Ultem (Polyetherimide) which to my understanding is safe. can handle some pretty high temperatures and is solvent resistant in general

I last smoked early yesterday morning and I haven't had one yet today! I'm vaping low nic juice too! Lower than my 18 mg stuff. Maybe the chain vaping I do goes better for me at 6-10 mg and I don't feel weird so I'm not running for the analogs. Anyway, this might be it! I might be an ex smoker now! :D

Very awesome!! I hope so. =) I think I would agree... that a small mg nic but more of it might help kill the cravings more than a big dose spread further apart. Good luck hun. Let me know how it goes.

They had it marked as shipped within 20 minutes (tops! I think it was closer to 10) and it looks like this when I open it??? Oh hell yeah am I ordering from them again. =) The little black square is my receipt, folded neatly in a envelope and sealed with a VaporAuthority branded sticker. Incredibly professional. Very impressed.

Yay!! Now have to go get silly juice. LOL!

BTW, I hope I don't *have* to say it but... just in case... I am promoting them because I am impressed., I have no ties to Vapor Authority or The Vapor Bar in Katy or any other place I have mentioned. I am just excited and silly. =)

I feel like it's Christmas already. =P I already said I was keeping the tanks sealed except the one. Now I forget which though. Have to sift back through all this. Thanks you. You are all so awesome.

You said you would try the Nautilus first. :)

Lol thanks. That's what I thought but my net is going sooo slow. I have my old juice here but since we don't know even what it is I am just going to kill it. Start fresh. I did get more satisfaction using my old battery and their ego style tops with their juice. So my juice could be worthless from the get go. Now just have to load up kids and Go shopping. Lol. Glad I already know what I want to start with for flavor. The Zeus Juice description on a few looked good also. I am having entirely too much fun. :p

So basically you opened up the toys you got for Christmas, but have no batteries....LOL. You should plug the iStick in to top off the charge while you're out. It should take about half an hour to an hour to top off the charge to full. I'm patiently waiting for 4 vape mail packages from the post office. According to the tracking, they all should be here tomorrow, so that means they should be delivered by Tuesday or Wednesday.
