just received a nemesis clone from fasttech and have to say I am still against counterfeiting logos , That aside after a good cleaning 30 min in my ultrasonic and a dip in 100% alcohol and a quick polish it preforms great compared to my authentic vw nemesis , Things I noticed is the logos are poor quality compared, also the brush job on the stainless steal is poor quality compared, if you put the two together you can notice right away on quality of craftsmanship but if I did not own a authentic I would not know the difference, The tubes do not line up smooth there is a noticeable gap between them,The silver contacts are shinny whereas the authentic are a dull silver, button was grinding before clean but after is smooth as the authentic, installed the magnet upgrade and it is working great threads are a bit different from original not as smooth but all in all a great mod This will defiantly serve well as my travel mod while my real nemesis stays safe at home, I will do a voltage drop test after I receive my tankometer but don't think there will be much difference they both hit hard can not tell a difference in performance between the two

The Vapor Mad pins will fit the clone, but they cost like $34. That is more than the mod itself and you will, likely, not even notice the difference. It's your money, and I am not trying to tell you how to spend it, but it just seems silly upgrading the pins when the result will be so miniscule.

who do i have to contact for the solid silver pins, i would like to buy a pair for my originals...

My threads are smooth as butter after a 4000grade sand ( I would use 600 but I didn't want it to eat into the metal). 1 finger can take my entire mod apart, and 1 spin and completely unlock/lock my locking ring. Also brush looks like it is very consistent, once again as I said you get a hit or a miss mod with clones especially from china. Mine's is the better of the two . Also I am completely against the logo too if it had something else on it then I wouldn't be so against it, like marking on the other side or something. The silver plate is fine as is but it feel like a lighter hit to me compare to my original but that is just me.

but I have been killing myself attempting to get the 'kick ring' off of it.
Can anyone tell me how to get this thing off?

Try pinch and turn. If you squeeze from the outside it will lose it circular form and creates pressure point on the outer ring making it harder to turn. If you are still having trouble, grab a tweezer pinch it as hard as you can(make sure you have a good grip or you will put a deep gouge into it, and would need to sand it down, or you can cover it with a thin cloth and then pinch) and then turn.

Another thing you can do it grab a torch or a lighter and hit up the kick ring (try not to hit up the mod). By doing this you speed up the molecules in the metal making it loser than the mod itself. You don't need to hold it on there for a long time, maybe just a little bit of heat while rotating so you don't mess up the coloring of the metal. If you see some black marks from smoke you can usually buff/rub that part off, as long as the mod itself doesn't heats up too much.

And the last thing you can try is put in a battery, tighten everything evenly and slowly work you way around the kick ring. Usually the pressure from the end will loosen up the kick ring itself (try not to put to much pressure everywhere or you get the same problem on another spot). I would use this method first

Lmao I'm sure people can see from the picture he has scratched and deformed the hell out of the kick ring so its now useless so just grip and turn obviously doesn't work.
