Well congrats on starting down the road. There's no reason to worry about how high a concentration of nic you need to stop smoking now is. You need what you need, you'll work your way down after you've been away from the smokes for a while. I think 12 mg would make the most sense. If you need higher you might, and I stress might, find nic salts smoother, but when I stopped it was with a 24 mg nic. I didn't lower it for over 6 months and then it was a pretty smooth down to my now 3-6 mg juices. And that was before salts, but with a device that put out less vapor, more like using that 1.4 ohm coil you have.
When you're trying to stop smoking with vaping it might not be an instant hit on " this is perfect for me". It may take some playing around. Almost everyone goes through that so don't get discouraged. The fact you've already reduced your cigarette intake is a good first sign to reinforce that it can work.
I'm going to add one bit of advice. Don't have only that one Nord. If it runs down and you can't find Z spot to recharge, or you lose it, or it just plain breaks, have a second one around. Same for the coils and pods. A few extra are insurance for you. You don't want to be in a situation where things are going well, but something happens, you can't vape, and you end up buying a pack of cigarettes. Backups are really helpful and it sounds like what you're using seems to be working for the beginning.
