It's different from any menu system I've used before and I'm still getting used to it after a week. It just feels like more of the menu stuff cycles through or out from options that unless you are quite familiar with and used to, you may find the easiest thing to do is just let the dang menu time out and then go back into the menu to try again and change or set something.

Also, sometimes I will inadvertently set something in the menu choices that I would like to undo or maybe didn't even mean to set. I click too soon or not soon enough. Or sometimes I click thinking I will go to the next item on the menu and actually set the current displayed option rather than moving to the next. Guess what I'm trying to say is I button "bang" myself often LOL.

It's like once it cycles past something (which may be deep in the menu), there's no button push to just go back up in the menu hierarchy. Either keep cycling until you maybe come back to it again or let the menu exit and try again from scratch.

Bottom line is the menu system is extensive and operates in a manner I'm least familiar with as far as mod menus go. Maybe not a bad thing. Just different.
Thank you. I’m sure I can figure it out, hopefully just once and leave everything alone. I don’t mess around with different builds etc... so I usually just set things and leave them alone.

I’m between this and the JAC. But I like the look of this better.

Thanks for the feedback :)

While I've never handled a JAC, I know I prefer the Dani Mini for build quality. And while I'd be most familiar with the Evolv dna board in the JAC from the get go, I don't mind learning a new (to me) menu system like the Dani Mini has.

I know there are several who have commented in this thread and that own both the JAC and Dani Mini. Hopefully they will chime in.

EDIT: And honestly, all I ever vape is in power mode and don't need to go very far into the Dani Mini menu at all, just to change wattage once I have display lumen, clicks, and menu speed set up. Like you, it's mostly set and don't mess with again. So the menu difference from what I'm used to is a non-issue at the end of the day.

The Dani menu(s) are a bit more extensive than most, and yet thankfully, one can set the speed so as not to "Hobbs" it. ;) (Which I did more often than not until setting the speed to first gear!)

MostlySunny, I'm not one to rush to comparisons on differing devices. I do have some Jacs, and also some Dani mods. I adore them both for the differences and uniqueness. I would not dare compare the two, tho. The Dani screams of quality in workmanship (interior and exterior), battery management, and powered smoothness. The Jacs are superbly designed (weight, hand feel, aesthetics), and both are just absolutely lovely devices.

Had I only one to choose? For me it would be the Dani, hands down, but as we know.....

Vaping is the spice of variety.

Well, I got this reply from Jac yesterday as I was having trouble ordering it (which led me to looking into different mods)

So needless to say, I just purchased the Dani mini in blue :)

Opinions are...(and one more >)

I like the smaller size. Always liked the box but it was the Mini that pushed us to Buy. For us, no Mini, no Buy.

The .5 increments are fine for me, as are even full 1w increments (as I've learned). I usually vape 9-11w, and with a good chip, 1w at a time is absolutely fine for me.

Regarding hand-feel, nothing will ever top the Xvo for me, but I'd take a Dani over it simply because the build and vape quality work better for my preferences. The chip is the best I've ever used, even if it does give me a headache the rare times I delve into it.

I always have an Xvo ready to go, because sometimes I need that form factor, but my favorite atties usually sit atop a Dani.

At 9-11w, and no TC, I rarely touch the settings. Once I get them setup at first, I just push the button, vape, and grunt (of course).

I've never felt so strongly about any device or atty that I think it will work for everyone, and this is no exception. It works great for me, and that's about the best I can say.

I saw this in the JAC thread, just before your post here, and it's a punch in the stomach. :(

So the JAC change has me wondering. They say they don't ship here due to regulatory changes. I can't think of anything that's happened here that would affect them. And I also spend a fair amount of time on some UK vape forums but nothing there either.

So I wonder what has happened. It's always good to understand the enemy so if anyone knows what new regulations were put in place I'd be grateful for being educated.

There was a time when JAC actually had a special discounted price including shipping for US customers. To see this is quite a surprise.

Just managed to grab the last black, non-mini, Dani box.
Because the black I have has the 2016 circuit (60 W), without the battery IR reader.

Got some Moli P28A batteries, which IMO are the best match for Dicodes mods, as they manage seamlessly down to 2.5 V battery voltage, and the Moli discharge curve matches that well.

Dicodes are getting harder to get as they gained popularity. With Yihi and Lost Vape on the run, they are the only commercial quality devices left on the market.

Should we convince them to make a pod system with 14500s? It would become an hit.

Well...my purple mini is already on it's way back to Creme de Vape.
I have been receiving wonderful care/customer service from them and an engineer from Dicodes.
...wish I coulda gone with it !

Are they going to send you another, or do they have to look at it first?

They're gonna see what's up.
No one has ever reported this happening...Well - of course not ! I just bought it
It sounds like it's going from CdV to Germany.
