My apologies, I wasn't aware of the restriction to staff on quoting on closed threads.Hit or miss for me sonic. Works fine as long as you're in the same thread. Move to another to quote and ??? Don't understand what breaks this function but it doesn't uniformly when selecting text from alternate threads (tabs, alt windows) or if you hit reply first. May be my old v6.x Safari. Use it when I can tho.
Now on to weird stuff don't work. Any insights on why I might be experiencing local thread search crash loop? I've cleared cookies, reset browser, etc., etc. Do still need to test on alt browsers.
Thanks and good luck.
p.s. @sonicdsl, here's loopin' at ya…

As for your search quandary, Retired or Oliver will have to answer that question.
Is it just me or did someone mess with the background color scheme of the old "ECF" theme?

Don't think it is just "You" - but then again I'm old and wear glasses . . .![]()
DittoI don't know - I just flipped back over to it and I think it looks the same ?
But I have been staying on the Aluminum theme to get used to it...so I could have 'forgotten' already.

What is annoying me that I haven't seen mentioned is that that darned ,B, indicating blog, makes many names split into two lines--for example
B. Katy

PS -- get rid of green reply circle.
I'm using aluminum on an Android
and am adjusting to most changes ok.

I'm sure hoping that gets corrected right along with reworking the various labels and changing back to square avi's
PS -- get rid of green reply circle.
Redundant, gets in way and is too darn easy to tap when scrolling

Happens even on my PC (ECF skin) with longer handles.

If you mean the blinking online status green dot, it annoys me too. I have more than enough blinkers in my life as is.![]()

And I agree about that bottom right green thing - I keep thinking there is an Avery Dot Sticker on the screen !
I don't care for it either, and not sure why it's at the top of the page as well...And I agree about that bottom right green thing - I keep thinking there is an Avery Dot Sticker on the screen !
for those who missed seeing all the chances to reply on the way there?
The one at top is stationary, but...when at the top of the page, the floating one also appears...so you see 2...Avery dot sticker. Perfect description.
And there are 2 on the floating top of every page.??

Awww, I like the green dot post buttonAnd I agree about that bottom right green thing - I keep thinking there is an Avery Dot Sticker on the screen !
Top one is definitely redundant.![]()
The blue dot will still show up when there are new posts in a thread (and you can just click on the title, not necessary to click on the blue dot, to reach first unread post). The checkbox is there to manage the threads in your Watched Threads list. Say you want to Unwatch more than one thread, click the checkboxes, then click Manage Watched Threads at the top right. You can then click on Stop Watching Threads, and voila! And a question. What are those little boxes in front of thread titles for (on my watched threads page)? There used to be a rather useful blue dot there (last read post). When I click on the box, I get a check mark.![]()
