I got satin with a polished button. Love it with the 490/500 tube. I like the 350 tubes but have to change the battery too often. Been thinking about getting some brass clothes for it. I think satin and brass would look nice.

Hey Uma, thanks for posting. I'm glad the results were negative, although I was not real worried either way. As a result of the thread I did find that I really like unoxidized wicks, the flavors really seem to shine. I bet Tonys chicken would taste like KFC on one of these wicks. Speaking of flavor, I just got some Pluid to try for the first time, it is interesting.
If thats the case I wont ask Tony for his recepi, bought 15 pieces last night, anyone want 12 cold bits I have in fridg, in regards to this Pluid I see the name pop up regular but can never find it to try.
I have been using unoxidized wicks too. I would agree with that the flavor really shines. Just takes a little patience to let it break in good.
The best lesson I learned is that I don't have to oxidize as heavily. I will try light oxidize to help with the break in period.

Jim, do you have plans to sell the button segments for Poldiac? or whatever it takes if you have the different sleeves but just one button.

Love the Kanthal Ribbon!!! Easy to wrap, no hotspots and provides a helluva lot of flavor and vapor! Also utilizes way more surface area of the wick for less condensation build up under the cap!
Gemini on the SS Avenger with a 4/4 Wrap of Ribbon! 1.2 Ohms, (a hair higher than I use with 30 AWG Kanthal but it vapes amazingly)!!!

Agreed! I wrapped my first ribbon coil tonight. It is an incredibly sloppy but incredibly effective tony-style wrap. This stuff is wild.
Oh Yeah, I had wrapped my Standard DID with it earlier and liked it so much I ripped off a perfectly good 32 AWG coil to try this stuff out on the Gemini. I am definitely NOT disappointed
After a few hours of heavy vaping and about a half a tank it is nice and broken in now and is tasting even better than it did when I first got it wrapped I imagine it will only get better from here too as the coil seasons up
theres seems to be a lot of parts that go into fitting a button and bottom for making another Poldiac out of an extra sleeve... my BTO has 3 sleeves.

thanks Hoey, so i don't need the "plastic parts" ? i suppose they come in the full button.
I missed the bottom cap spring.....it come in a set of 5 springs!! cost 10 Euros.
