OK I am posting this picture as a response to the many inquires about the hole on the back side of the Slim. I don't really see what the big deal is about it but many people are not to happy with the appearance of this necessary VENT hole. Many of the batteries used in this device are NOT protected. So I just wanted to post a picture of it for the record.

Hi there!

one message for Imeo.. :)

First of all thanks for the Slim, it really match my needs! ;)

One thing I noticed though, is the fact the button might be incidentally triggered when not needed: I bought a case (for pens) which preserves a bit this matter, but in any case today I burnt a filter because the case was in my pocket.. :)

As a result, I was wondering: what about a "lock" system on the button?

I.e. it could be a small "pin" screwed at the bottom of the cilinder, which prevent the button from reaching the right position: the button is then drilled with an "half moon" hole, so that if I do rotate the button so to have the pin pointing the half moon hole, it then allow the button itself to go down, otherwise I rotate it back so to not match it, thus preserving the button to go at the bottom.

whatcha think? :)

The way to lock and prevent the GG Slim from firing is to unscrew the button/switch a few turns. It is fast and easy and gets to be a natural thing after time. Hope this helps some~

Hi my neighbor mat:):)
As keon said, if you unthread the button then it cant contact the batteries. I made 8 threads on button so it will not fall of the GG when you unscrew it 3-4 times.

As for the way you say, I have already thought of that but if you see how button is made you will see that it cant be done. I say that because of a simple reason. While you pushing the button, it will sometimes rotated on its own and it will go inside to this half moon place so you will think that it got stuck. You will have to rotated in right place all the time.

But tomorow I will show you in video a better way to lock the button. Its like the GGTS but its more beautiful and different than the first "super slim video" that I posted on yutube some days before.

But thanks a lot for the advice my friend, I really apreciate your effort to help me!!!!

I am reading about the GG slim after trying greensmoke ecigarettes and having a BAD reaction to PG I am looking for a better and kinder e cigarette experience and looking seriously at the new 'GG slim'.
Only thing is I am SO confused about how to set it up? I see the 'shell' of the GG slim on the uk site (As I am in Australia and the USA site doesn't deliver to Australia for some reason) anyway starting from step ONE what is the best way for a beginner to start with the GG slim Please?

Many Thanks, :D

Hiya Katie,
I run cloud9Vaping.co.uk and I'll try and help you out here.
Rob (www.vaporkings.com) supplies to the US and to Canada, I supply to the rest of the World currently.

All you need for the GG slim is the unit itself, some 10440 batteries and the appropriate charger as well as some 901 atomisers.

All parts available in my shop now (although be quick if you want a slim because I only have one left in stock right now and it could be several weeks until I get any more).

GG Slim Gold
10440 3.7V 600mAh (pair)
Trustfire All-in-one Charger
DSE 901 Atomiser - Silver
GG i3 iAtty

Then you'll need to find a supplier of non-PG based juice.

Thanks Lisa Much appreciated. Now I am a tad confused I thought the GG slim batteries lasted 3-4 hrs smoking (ON average) not just one hour as I just read in the GG forum? Also is just batteries the only source of power enough or will I need quiet a few batteries on the go? I am planning to go camping for 3 days in a few months time is there any way of charging via the car or anything other than batteries and charging the batteries via a power point? Thanks again :)

Thanks to you for the reply! :)

Of course I could be unscrewing the whole bottom, but I thought it might be nice to have something more "quick&easy".. ;)

I do reckon though what you say, so the "half-moon" solution maybe it's not the correct one.

Maybe one day, a bottom with a cilindric esternal shape, so that the button just slides down, inside the cilinder?

in that way perhaps it'd be a little uneasier to push it, but it will serve the cause... or not? :)

In any case, let's see what YOU have in mind! ;)

Cheers!

The previous locking option for SS and the current one that I just made

View attachment 7248

Of course the old one sits in my hole 1 week and it got corrupted but the new one is much more beautiful. Colours change between gols and silver and they are in an harmony!!!

that looks amazing! will you be making this locking option for GG slim as well as the GG SS?

You can get a car power adapter for your trustfire all in one charger. Not sure if Lisa has any of those in stock at the moment. Surely she will answer that one though. As far as the battery life of the 10440. That depends on how much you vape. I for one can kill one of those batteries in about an hour. But then I am a really heavy vaper. I have heard of folks using them for up to 4 hours. As long as you keep about 4 or 6 of them handy you should be fine for a full day. They are sooo small and will not take up much space. Hope you enjoy your new vaping experience with the best device on the planet. We look forward to hearing of your camping trip with the GG.

I dont think the vent hole is very asthetic i understand that it is necessary but that doesnt mean it has to be just a simple hole. What about having vents similar to that of a ferrari's angular cuts or maybe the make the gg logo itself a vent

Excellent idea!!! I was thinking the same thing the other night when I posted that pic. And I think it might just be an idea imeo will think about.

what do you suggest i use for shining? i was attempting to shine my ggts yesterday and didnt get is as glossy as id like

Stormy suggested a jewelery polishing cloth and it works great for me. I use one almost daily now to shine up all my GGs. You can get one at your local walmart or jewelery store. They have something on them that will polish up your necklass as well as your GG. hahah...

Just been out to the car with my own trustfire multi-charger and a car charging adapter to verify that they work together before giving you the following links:
