Hey everyone! I took a substantial trip down cigarette lane and I want to find my way back home. I’ve not been keeping up to date with the new tech out there but I’m really wanting to get back off cigarettes. I’m going to be lurking around to try to relearn everything so I can get an up to date picture on which mod I should be getting. My biggest concern is falling off the wagon again, and having the same problems as before which made me leave. Mainly leaky tanks and bad atomizers. I’m hoping the quality control has gotten significantly better.

Anyway, I’m super excited to be back with you guys! Say hi if you see me around!

Hi and welcome back! There's lots of new stuff on the market, and the leaky tank and bad atomizer stuff has gotten a bit better with most, but not all, of what's on the market. By all means read around, but ask lots of questions so you're sure you're on the right track. Good luck on this round.

Hello and welcome back to ECF. I'm sure others will be recommending gear for you. I am basically using gear that is no longer in production or at least a couple of years in production and I have not got a handle on what is new on the market. It might also help if you could share what gear you were using. Are you looking for gear that is MTL or DTL? Internal Battery? Single or double battery? Good luck with your search and return to vaping.

Greetings and salutations!
I myself found my way back this year also. I've found my leak resistant device. The topside. Don't overfill the bottle, and leaking is a non-issue. Still trying to find the perfect atty though. So far the Recurve is too of my list, but I have some mesh on the way for a Profile.

Personal preference is, of course, subjective, so your perfect setup may be completely different.

Welcome back DNCMenteer.

I think you will find that stuff Toady is about 27 Light Years Better than stuff was 5 or 6 Years ago.

I mainly used an 18650 mechanical mod with an atomizer and just dripped every time. I did this because I was tired of tanks leaking all over the place. I also am used to the MTL style. I had an internal battery mod blow up on me and that was close to the time that o switched back to the cigarettes.

I’m sure hoping to find my perfect device! Thanks and I’m glad you found yours! Are pods just like the gas station prefilled?

Classwife,
I know! A lot has happened in that time, like I retired! No, the chuck is long lost in all my moves, and I only have the profile picture to remind me haha. I think I’m ready to get back on the train but there’s so much new stuff out there! I might just go get a cheap device to get me started again and just lurk here and read read read.

Wow, that had to be scary! I mostly use regulated Provari's but they are hard to find now. Lots of good regulated mods now. I use Kayfun rebuildables and Berserker rebuildable tanks for MTL, but I like Pods for out and about. You may consider stocking up on what you like.

I know how it feels to have a device give you trouble and then end up running back to cigs. My AIO device (all-in-one) failed and I panicked... went and bought some cheap cigarillos (cheaper... less tax) they tasted like crap and I hated myself for it. Now I'm getting frustrated with coils not lasting very long, especially the ones I got from e-bay (huge mistake) Best advice I can give you is have a back-up device! Good news is there are lots of good deals out there (devices and juice) Make sure your juice has enough nicotine to keep you off the nasties. If your budget allows, I would suggest a single battery mod (and 2 batteries/charger) a nice MTL tank, and a Geekvape Frenzy to carry around (and as backup) There are also many nice "pen" style devices (and of course Pods) Once you are settled in, we will talk about RTAs (rebuildable tanks so you don't have to buy tons of drop-in coils)

I just googled geek vape frenzy. Is it really only ~30$? I’m going to order one right now. What single battery mod would you recommend just to get me back in business? I’m skeptical on tanks due to the issues I’ve had in the past, but would be willing to give them a shot if you have one with good experience. Are pods just the gas station JUUL things?
