innokin finally posted an update about the VTR delay on their FB page. Text is:

Dear all,
Thank you all for your interest in the iTaste VTR. We have found a minor issue during the repeated testing of the VTR and we are now working hard on the issue. We will post here as soon as we have completed the development of the device. Sorry to make you guys wait! Thanks the kind supports from all of all. We will try our best to bring more high quality vaping devices to you in return.

Best Regards
Innokin

I actually was afraid of that and why I hesitated to pull the trigger. I always hate pre orders like this as the time to get them varies a lot even depending on who you order from. I Preordered something one time and people were posting about getting theirs long before I got mine....sucked. So for now I think I will wait until I see them in stock.

It only took them a month and a half to say something other than, 'Coming soon. '

True, but I'd give them credit for doing sufficient testing prior to it's release, finding an issue, and working to resolve it BEFORE the device in customers hands.

How many times have you read people complaining about having to pay for the privilege of beta testing this new device or that new device?

As of yesterday, Innokin announced the name their new MVP the "iTaste VTR" after a facebook poll they've been running over the past few weeks, here's the link.

I gotta say, I'm a little urked. People have been rumoring a new iTaste MVP for a while now, but then Innokin put out a statement saying this was all rumor and there was no new MVP being developed (and no plans to be developed) - admittedly, that was last year, but still ...so I went ahead and bought my MVP just the other day. Now I find out there is a new one developed? I get why they did that, they don't want people waiting for the new one and cutting into their MVP sales, but it urks me nonetheless.

My own fault, really. My research was faulty and based on outdated information.

How can that you urk you? You said they said they didn't have a new one coming out, OVER A YEAR AGO?

Dude....you know how fast products come out in the vaping world. If they released a statement they didn't have anything new coming out - and then a few WEEKS later put something new out...I could see some frustration. But a statement made over a YEAR ago? Give em a break man :p

UKEcigstore pre-order page has additional pics of the kit they are selling (not there when I pre-ordered). Nice!

Innokin iTaste VTR Exclusive Pre Order

Like the looks of the new iClear 30s.

That link didn't work for me. If it doesn't for others try this one, Innokin iTaste VTR Exclusive Pre Order.

Does anyone know what that is in the upper right corner of the flight case? It doesn't look like it would fit the iClear. Is that what you need if something doesn't work in the cubby?

That seems to be the spacer in case you want to use a tank that doesn't fit in the recessed space. This is illustrated on Innokin's FB page:

I love it, but it seems like a lot of money for the benefit to be able to change your batteries. The MVP2 is also vv/vw right? And it is a little over $50. I am going to wait to see it. I do not think I would use the Iclear, I use dripping attys and Evods. Would the Protank 2 or Protank mini fit in there? I really would like something that would not stick up that much beyond the top of the device.

I've read that the drop down will fit something 18 mm wide for sure or possibly 19mm. So it sure looks like the Kanger Evod and the Mini Protank and about any clearo would be very good candidates for a decent fit. Also, the Aurora looks like it will fit too as it is under that diameter.

I do like that drop down feature quite a bit, but that's a bit steep a price for what I'd be using this mod for. I'm still debating.

This is very tempting....I have an MVP, and I have never used it to charge anything else (if it came down to it, I would rather have my e cig than my phone!), so I won't miss that at all. I really like the replaceable battery, since I will have to throw away my MVP once it's done (I've heard you can put a battery in there, with some modding, but I'm not good at that kind of stuff). Is that new type of iclear30 out yet? The inside definitely looks different than the one I have.
I don't like my iclear30 all that much. It bothers me that the top is made of heavy, nice material while the tank seems cheap to me. I would love one in glass.
