The NCR18650B's are not lMR batteries, but another chemistry. The store is saying that the NCR18650B's are not compatible.....and that may be just their opinion. (There are other non-branded lMR's from some suppliers, too).

Some say the NCR18650B's are appropriate for a vv/vw mod and more say the NCR18650PD's are. Just about everyone agrees that the CGR18650CH's are very appropriate.

the mAh is not the only thing one should look at when choosing batteries. For example, many protected IC's have much higher mAh, but are now powerful enough to run a single battery vv/vw device. The hot discussion about batteries recently is about the Amp Limit --- but a higher amp limit (over 10) may not be needed for many of the vv/vw devices sold. For example, the AW 2000 mAh 18650 and the CGR18650CH's have a 10 amp limit. Yes, it gets quite confusing.

Here's a blog which might help a bit: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4848-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected.html

Does anyone else think its kinda big? What's this new trend with inokin? their new mods are getting bigger, not smaller. I understand the size of the MVP, with the on board battery and such but this new one takes a regular 18650, I would have thought it could be smaller.
I hope no one get upset by this question but I feel I have to point out: the emperor has no clothes on!
But it does kind of look cool, like it's from the 90s!

The UK vendor says 'flight case' (which is that exact leather case):
Innokin iTaste VTR Exclusive Pre Order

No, this is the flight case:

Sorry, that was badly worded - I meant 'I'd have to'. The first shock (out of my naivete - thinking of it as an MVP upgrade) was having to add a battery and a charger, then I'd persuaded myself it came with the leather case. That, together with the long and speculative discussion about what batteries are appropriate (it still not being clear that you can get better single battery life than the MVP) mean I'm happy to watch other people's unboxings and experience and get one nearer Christmas.
