I got to thinking...when I first got the P+ I had a little trouble with the lock. Once I figured out to push it entirely from the side (not catching any of the top edge of the slider) it worked great. Any downward pressure on the slider makes it difficult to move. Could that be what you're experiencing?

I've found that the button's lock has to be lined up perfectly with the horns to slide.

I'm interested in the small size of the 18350 P+ for times my bottom feeders are too large to vape discretely. I have a pila charger for my aw imr 14500 and 18650 batteries. Can I use this charger for 18350 batteries? I'm afraid they are too short. Is it possible to get an extender or holder that would allow charging these in a pila?

Yes, the PILA will charge 16340's and 18350's no problem. All you need is the 15mm aluminum spacers i sell in my site. You can find them here not too far above the PILA:

David....would the performance be affected on the P500 using a AW IMR 18490......by using a single oring in the bottom, using less washers under the firing pin and adding a magnet to the top of the battery? I'm using one thin and one thick washer and 4 washers under the firing pin....and I'm experiencing some misfiring.

I'm not sure what you mean by misfiring?

I have to put a lot of pressure on the button to make contact. If I don't press hard enough it won't fire. I know if the battery was lower in the mod it would shorten the throw on the switch.

Do you mean you have to push the switch farther for it to fire, not harder? If you have to push the switch harder, something is physically wrong and in that case, i'd recommend looking for binding or the like and that failing, i can take a look at it for you. All adjusting washers and orings will do is shorten or lengthen the throw of the swith, but they won't affect how hard you have to push it to any noticeable degree.

I know you mentioned in PM that you wanted to shorten the throw by adding an extra washer(5 total), but with the IMR in there, it will only take a max of 4 washers without need for a longer threaded contact, which i do plan on offering in the future.

I guess I'm describing it wrong....I have to push the button further in to make contact. If i don't push it all the way it won't make contact....I guess I'm not used to the throw on the 500 after using the 350 for so long. I was just thinking that maybe removing an oring and adding a magnet to the top of the battery would help shorten the throw....I don't think I can add a 5th washer under the firing pin....There's not enough thread. But I won't do it if the magnet will affect the performance

PrecisePlus's pack a mean right hook! I don't have a schematic (i should have one) but a general rule of thumb:

P+18500 and P+ 18650 when using AW IMR's run one thick (.100) and one thin(.070) Oring and 4 washers on the switch contact.

P+18500 with AW P18500 battery, one thick Oring (.100) and one washer.

P+18650 with two Lifepo's run thin Oring (.070) and one washer.

P+18650 with an AW 2900mah run one thin Oring (.070) and one washer.

P+18650 with an AW 2600mah (recommend over the 2900mah as the 2600mah holds more voltage under load) one thick (.100) oring and one washer.

P+18350 with AW IMR 18350 run one thick (.070) Oring with one washer.

vote to sticky :)

Yeah, i had two P+ 18650's left over after i filled all the orders and i see a couple of people got them.

I'll have about 3 P18500's and about 10 P18350's towards the end of the week. I can't save them for anyone though, sorry, it'll just be first come, first serve.

just got my p+18650! The finish is shinier than my p+18500. The locking portion on my 18650 button is the same style "super matte" finish my 18500 and it creates a very suave looking contrast on the button. I am liking the new finish style. Thanks again Dave!!

Yeah, the finish can vary a bit batch to batch, plus i've been playing a bit with my media mixtures...
