Honestly, I don't see much about it that I see worth paying for out of the box. A later firmware update,, maybe... But I see it more likely to be a higher percentage of features addable to the standard... Which might be almost as light cross drilled and slotted like brake calipers. Most of the weight is topside, after all...

I hate off centered 510s. Makes it too easy to knock over once the tank is on

The millimeter or two is minor, and ii don't think I'd add to stability, which is surprisingly good, seeing as the weight is, well, topside. I dislike the centered 510 on a non squonker dual cell... Might grow on me, but I like the off set.

Only released a dual with YiHi chipset. And if you use TC, YiHi are pretty decent and not quite as convoluted as Evolv.

But both chipsets are good, but so different about how they perform the same tasks.

I personally would like to have gotten red. As for the se, I'd take any. Odly enough though, when I mentioned it to my wife, she sniggered at gold, then I showed it to her. Which changed her mind. Kinda looks half way between flame and mud splatter to me. She hatted the red, but that was off the promotion shots, which look far different from regular pics. I don't mind the silver though. The only one I'm not fond of is gold... The fleck paint is fine by me.

The worse offender, esthetically,, I find, is the dual. Looks like a deformed whale to me ..

The dual is a hideous freak of nature in any color. And holy cow, what a handful! But I didn’t buy it for its looks, and it’s a great vape. I have the gunmetal. It’s huge and I’m never taking it out of the house because it’ll break my purse straps lol.

Delores....could you perhaps post a pic of your topside dual standing next to the drone? The drones about the max in size I want to go for a squonk as lately I have developed a thing for small squonkers even down to 18350's. I did like the topside dual and it's still kind of on my wish list

Mine are working. Maybe de-selct the notification option, then re-select it. Maybe that will help.

Are there any bad points to the wismec luxotic bf mod? It's showing up on clearance at a few places, due to the luxotic surface being released.

I know it's unregulated but has protection. And uses proprietary bottles. Just not sure if it leaks like a sieve or not

I recall reading that some people had Problems with Big Time Leaking.

Delores....could you perhaps post a pic of your topside dual standing next to the drone? The drones about the max in size I want to go for a squonk as lately I have developed a thing for small squonkers even down to 18350's. I did like the topside dual and it's still kind of on my wish list

Drone is a few mms taller, similar width, a shade less wide at the widest point.

The huge difference is in the weight. I’m sure you could look up the weight specs on both if that’s an issue for you. But you can imagine the difference between a metal body and the ultem. The drone is closer in weight to the Topside single.

Like I said though, it’s a great vape and I’m glad to have it. Oh, and it never falls over lol. If you drop it on your foot you’ll need an X-ray.

I have the Topside dual and love it, I normally use my Rage but since I bought the Topside it’s hard to put it down.

It's like any other unregulated mod, you have to build for it like a mech.
Some leak inside the board section as they hold the 510 in place with a press fit brass pin that ...

Mine never leaked, but did start autofiring. I stripped it down completely (removed board 510 etc) but couldn't find any reason for it, so I threw all the parts in a box and forgot about it. One day a few months back I reassembled it for S&G's and it hasn't autofired since.

But I don't trust it and wont leave a battery in it unless I'm using it.

Yep, I've been doing that for years. Unflavored in the bottle, drip flavored liquid as necessary/desired. It taught me quickly that most vendor juices are over-flavored.

is there a name for that? maybe dripsquonker

Well not sure I deserve that but thanks At least your post lets me know that it can still be on the list....I have to get it just for the innovative fill system if nothing else, although the chip sounds like it might be quite good

My single has the old firmware I guess, because it does power and bypass. Which is fine, and I enjoy bypass on it. The dual, while the menu is different than DNA, it performs a lot like my DNA250cs.

I only had one issue, one time, where it was reading the coil but wouldn’t fire.

I tried the atty on other mods with no problem, opened it up to check that my coil was screwed down tight, and nothing was amiss.

Still wouldn’t fire.

I had to remove it from the mod, hit the fire button, put it back on, and hit fire again. Then it asked if it was a new coil. Clicked yes, and everything was fine.

Which is something I’ve never seen before. All my mods that ask new coil will do so as soon as I put the atty in and fire the first time.

Otherwise, easy to navigate, no complaints.

So just FYI, if it doesn’t ask new coil, just remove, fire, replace and fire. Either it’ll ask then or it already reads okay.

I think it'll makes its way into the squonk collection soon. Especially if I can't keep myself under control
