I TOTALLY had them confused, heh. I was offered no pics, I do have one vague memory of the process and complaining, and being told I'd forget all about it. I did not forget it, and I really don't want to watch the camera's journey through my digestive tract, I still get squirmy if I think about it too often.... :) I think the good news is I get to skip the first mandatory one? Well, that's what my brain says, and I'm not arguing....

I was semi conscious, loopy as hell, and watching it live on the monitor.

The worst part of it (except for the 2 bottles of FLEET I drank the night before) was that the doc had an intern with him observing the whole thing. She was absolutely GORGEOUS and there I was splayed out like a frog being dissected.

When I use SS316L on mod that are using Joytech chip and Aspire chip, I set the TCR to 110 and the temp to 450F. I also use DNA75 with 316L profile downloaded from steamengine and set the temp to 490F. I always want warmer vape so these setup suite me. I am using 26g spaced coil on about 0.4ohm.

Am I be in the danger zone of this temperature study?

I am sorry if someone has already mentioned this kind of setup.

According to WANG, 450 is borderline for a 50/50 PG/VG mix, 490 is a little hot. Of course it depends on your juice mix too, the more VG the lower you want your temp.

Thank you Mike as always.
My current juice is 100 VG or 3/97 PG/VG, so this is way hot...OMG
I have to get used to cooler vape.

It was humiliating.....

Yea I get it. The nurse when I had to get a prostate check for an insurance physical was a hot strawberry blonde. It was a bit uncomfortable to say the least. You don't want to think about the procedure but you can't always help where your mind wanders...and the result. I learned to see the humor side of it from her. Though some would say her joking was unprofessional, it went a long way to ease the embarrassment.

I honestly don't know why people vape at such a high temperature, it must be a higher PG thing, I get great flavor/cloud production in the 380-390F 70w range with dual SS claptons at .25
If you are only doing 3-4s hits, It is actually easier to get lower temps with higher mass claptons... Fine thin single wire coils heat up real fast and hotl A higher mass coil is slower and will give you the "perceived" warmth without the scorching hot coil.

I can pulse the coils at 380F without cotton for the full 10 seconds and don't even get a glimmer of red on the coils yet still get good vapor production, mind you that's when the lights are on so maybe in the dark I'd see it..

Either way SS316L claptons have been the best TC experience I've had since I've used it and I've tried every mainstream TC material, good flavor, good vapor production, I like it.

Oh, that is what is happening!!

I tried Kanthal clapton before which I did not like much but I have never tried the temperature controlled clapton. Then I should give it a go for clapton 316L.
Thanks for the info.

Just make sure to tighten it down good so the outer wrap is smooshed against the core otherwise you may end up with inaccurate resistance readings which will throw off TC..

I was looking in my piled wire box and found 26/30ga SS316L clapton 15ft roll which I don't remember buying.:D I will make sure to tighten it down the ends. Thanks again.

Does the evolv software display the actual max watts and temp after each puff? Arctic fox does that for me. When my rda is freshly satuated the display shows watts hitting my max setting and the actual temp well below the my max temp setting. As soon as the coil is not fully saturated, shortly after the juice well is dry, actual watts goes way down and temperature limiting kicks in to not exceed max temp. Just beause you set a high max temp does not mean it is reached. That would depend on the max watts setting.
