I wonder about that as well. Especially with the way that some crumbled after use. That may be the reason that JT tells us to dry burn and wipe to clean. Will be interesting to see if it works though.

There are DIY ceramic heads available but, I doubt that any would fit these casings. Plus, they are made more for an rba/rta. Totally different.
I am dying to try one of the ceramic RBAs! The ones I have seen have the litttle ceramic cups and the coils go over the tops of those. I think my very favorite coil ever was the hybrid Luggy coil and if I ever find one like that (dual coil in the center of a ceramic ring I am on it!!! I was so sad that those Luggy replacement coils were never released.

Just so happens that I use a Melo 2 for the Vaporesso cCells so I have plenty of these $2.03 Authentic Eleaf MELO 2/iJust 2 Replacement ECR Coil Head - 1ohm(20-30W) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I just found out from reading here that the coils I linked above will fit the Melo ECR perfectly.

FT has had those for a long time. I actually have one around here somewhere and if I am able to find it will put it in my ECR. Either way, I just ordered a 10 pk and am excited to give them a try when I get them.

NICE!!! I am excited to hear what you think when you get them. I don't have a Melo but if they work well I will definitely be picking one up. Thanks for the links!

Wait...if they fit into the head for the Melo, maybe they can also go into the cCell! Hmmm......

Have you taken a cCell apart yet? It would have to be easier with an ECR. ECR will work with any tank that will use Atlantis heads so should work with any tank you are using for your cCells.

No, I have never taken one apart. I know others have gotten the ceramic out of them but I have no idea if it can be rebuilt. I guess I should find out before I go around ordering parts, right? :D

Why not just do it the easy way order a few of these?$2.03 Authentic Eleaf MELO 2/iJust 2 Replacement ECR Coil Head - 1ohm(20-30W) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

We already know that they work in the ECR and that the ECR will work in the tanks that cCells work in from the link that I posted above FastTech Staff: Metal Wire Type: FastTech Forums

Wow, that's awesome! This is exactly what I have been hoping for since ceramics came out. I love it!! :)

If I had known that, I would have told you months ago! ;)
FT has had them a very long time. I had/have a few to test but could not find anything that they would fit in. Little did I know at that point in time that they were a perfect match for the ECR.

I might just do that after the wedding is all done. I have been eyeballing so many things lately but I have been a very good shinyitis sufferer, lol. My baby girl's big day comes first. :)

If I can find the one that I have, this is where I got it
Electronic Cigarettes | E Cigs | LeCig | Electronic Cigarette Store

This is a video showing how easily and well they clean up. I am pretty sure that the ones at FT are the same quality.

Wow, I just dry burned my Ultimo coil like this (until it was white again) and it's performing every bit as great as it did when it was new! It was FILTHY, lol. I pulsed at 30w until it was white again. I am super impressed!!

That is the only way that I have ever cleaned the cCells. That video did it for me the first time that I saw it. Really hits home now that we are actually able to see the ceramic that we are using though.

Yes it REALLY helps to be able to see it! I tried to dry burn a cCell once and I fried it, lol. I can't remember what wattage I was using but it was the first time I had really dry burned anything and it was an epic fail. My house smelled like burnt coil for hours. :D I probably would have never had the courage to try it again if you hadn't posted, so THANK YOU!! :)

How did you keep the cotton from burning when you pulsed the ceramic coil? I take it the ceramic never got red.

The cotton is on the outside of the ceramic coil and doesn't touch the wire, so it doesn't burn at all. The wire side (inside of the coil) definitely does get red. It works beautifully!! :)

I may have had a slight advantage since I do remember dry burning coils with atomizers. I am glad that you figured it out though. :)
Yeah this is really the first time I have worked with dry burning like that. I did dry burn my Kayfun coils once or twice but I never really got into building my own coils so it wasn't something I did very often.
