Right behind you...
Triumph and Aprilia rider here...had a '99 955 and '05 1050 Speed Triple, two Sprint ST's (955 and 1050), and a Tiger 1050. Do love that motor.

There's some good riding down that way, no doubt, but man, your playground between the other side of the bridge and oh, Eureka is some of my favorite riding country in the US.

That's your first problem.

I'm not gonna get into it with you here, but it is worth it for me in the long run. I have unlimited data on Verizon. If I sign a new contract, I lose unlimited data because that option is not available anymore. I use 6-9gb of data a month. Unlimited data is $30 for me.

So no, it's not a problem. Especially when I can afford it.

I think he was commenting on paying so much for the 128gb model, when it costs Apple about $10-$20 more than the 32gb model to manufacture.

I buy all my phones off-contract as well, and I get a new one every year. But I don't let Apple bend me over.

I know it barely costs more to manufacture it, but IMO there is no other device/OS combo that give me exactly what I want/need. I need the extra memory. I have used all platforms, and refuse to use any Android device unless it is a Nexus device (not available on Verizon). I use to root and install stock/custom ROMs on non Nexus devices but I do not feel like doing that anymore. I do not like manufacturer bloat/carrier software on my device. I like Android completely stock, the way Google intended it.

The iPhone syncs the best and works the best with my MacBook Pro. My Windows PC is only used for gaming. In my experience, iOS devices work the best and the most reliably. I'll happily pay the premium because of that.

Anyways, this is off topic. My phone choice doesn't matter in this thread, the Invader Mini does.

here it is!

FullSizeRender.jpg

with my misbehaving nano on top (not the invaders fault btw. In fact the bloody tank vapes better on this than the SX mini...lo!

so a couple of observations..

1. It runs TC all the way to 50W
2. The 510 setup is genius!
3. It is very solid. Quite weighty. Really feels like a well made piece of kit
4. TC has been flawless so far. I havent done a dry cotton but its been done in many reviews and, frankly, Im not sure how useful it is anyway!
5. The battery case is tight. I have a sammy 25r in there and it is snug. Anything a little larger, or even a label on the batt could be a problem.
6. Did I say it was heavy!!

Altogether I am very impressed with this thing. In size it is a little smaller than I imagined. Fits my hand pretty well. Even the look of it is growing on me. Kind of post-apocalyptic meets Action Man vibe....

The chip (Kangxin 50D I reckon) is very good so far. No glitches or irritations.

For the price, I recommend it for what its worth! :)

me again...update !

1. The mod goes to sleep as it should after 50 mins (early pre-pro models had a problem with this)

2. I had a slight issue waking it up. Had to hit 5 clicks several times (although I was half asleep)

3. After refilling atty, replaced on mod and it didnt ask for new coil. Took it off and replaced, then it asked, I said new coil. All ok (r=0.15 see below). Hit fire and it popped out of TP into VW mode I think. Reset temp as usual and hit fire to get back to home screen but still in VW! Had to unscrew battery cap to reset then it worked fine. So some glitches!!

4. Maybe the most interesting but having 'locked' in the resistance at 0.15, after 1 fire it went down to 0.13. After a few minutes of doing something else I came back to it, woke it up and R=0.12 where it has remained ever since. I havent seen this behaviour on the Kangin VF with the same atty....I would almost say its some kind of refinemnt but that seems so unlikey to me...

Otherwise, still loving this thing...

I've experienced the exact same "issues", except for #3. It sometimes doesn't want to wake up after SEVERAL times of doing the 5 clicks. Sounds like this chip has a 'refinement" feature similar to the DNA40 as the resistance of my new coil went down from .013 to .012.

Pocha, have you noticed the vape going off noticeably as the battery drains? Im not sure if its that or my bloody kanger OCC coil issues...

Had the same issue with the Kangxin flask and the Waidea flask. I reckon the boost circuit ain't the greatest on these Rayn boards.

Come to think of it...yes...I think. I will pay more attention to that the next time my battery gets low and confirm.

The only problem I have with mine might be related your 5 clicks issue. On mine I can press the fire button till it clicks and it still doesn't fire. After the click a little farther press gets it to fire. Might be a switch problem.
Just got mine. I can confirm extra pressure is needed beyond clicking to activate the fire button. Not ideal, but not that bad. Otherwise I'm very happy so far. Comfortable in hand, weighty, relatively small.

Only a few buyers and already so much issues... Why don't they make a descent device and price it 10 or 20 $ higher ? There is no miracle. Not a buy for me.

I think you have got the wrong impression. It actually has rather few issues and certainly no more tha authentic DNA40 devices have that cost 3-5x more. The problems I have listed are basically cosmetic! It works great.

The 5 button click can be avoided by simply clicking a little more solidly/firmly. The rubber casing damps the press a little I think. I have not had this issue since I realised this! As croak said, the boost on these things is not the best but not a real problem as I tend to swap out the battery before it really becomes noticeable. Again a really minor issue!
