As much as I like this device, I still haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. I keep seeing other devices in the same price range that i need to research. I have seen a couple with the large screen format. I would surly love to see a v3 of this with a large screen. I admit, most devices I'll look at them and for one reason or another, I keep landing back on this one. It's got a solid rep for this price range.

Just an observation, there is no other device , that I am aware of, like this one...ruggedized and water resistant.

Lol, yes you are correct. I see this device as a stable smallish form factor that works well, For me the ruggedness and water resistance is a bonus. So yes, I'm not necessarily taking those factors in to account, but they do add to the value. I still would like to see a large screen format for my failing eyes though.;)

Somebody will come up with something someday.

BTW, I don't have any, but I sure admire the Boerboel. I have "just dogs".

Wow, I have been misreading @awsum140 's signature for quite a while. I read it as "It's not a boerboel, it's just a dog."

Insert emoticon for mind blown.

I've lost track of the number of times I've vaped in the mirror just so I could see the screen.

Sitting down, facing forward.
We stumbled on the breed by accident. We were looking for a dog at the local shelter and saw a Boerboel/something mix and had never heard of the breed. We looked it up online and the thing that convinced me was seeing a Boerboel lying down, with a parrot on its' head and a baby pulling/playing with its' ears. We missed that one and adopted Bo from the original breeder who we maintain contact with. His original owners divorced and returned him to the breeder. He is quite gentle with us, but visitor and intruders, if anyone is that dumb, get a completely different side of him.

Don't want to get the thread off subject, but, when I told my wife she started bringing up pics of Boersboels pups. They are a special breed. We love the Molosser breeds, we almost got a Cane Corso or a Presa Canario but decided on the pits. We have a reverse blue brindle and a blue merle. They are gentle clowns.
No more dog talk from me.:D

I'm using LG HE2s with no problems. I'm getting, roughly, 4ml, 20 watts@380F out of them which translates to about a day. If I build my own mod, which HAS to happen, I plan on using LiPo instead.

Now that I look at the vendor's site again they now have recommended batteries listed, one of which is the LG HE2. Well, to be fair I think they had it listed when I got it, I just wasn't paying enough attention. For some reason I thought I needed a 30A battery for it. This is my first mod with a replaceable battery, so I think I was a little paranoid.

(Note: That fire is from my mod catching fire, not from devilishness.)

(Edit note: To be clear, there has not been any actual fire.)

I got the LGs in a co-op back when I got my IPV2. They've got about 50 charge cycles on them, six in steady rotation, and still perform like new. Just use a good charger, like an Xtar or NiteCore and they should last a long time.

Edit: I just checked my log and it's more like 300 charge cycles, total, for the six of them. About 50 each at this point.

Do you have the Heat Invader,Tesla 120 watt or Tesla 160 watt metal or wood?

Here is a tip to get to temperature control.
Hit the fire button 5 times.it will go into a locking screen. ( this is what you want)
Then press "+" and "-" buttons at the same time and then it will go into the temp regulation interface.
( In general condition, temp will be at 450 when it starts up) then after that they can use the "+" or the "-" to go up or down).

Remember have a Nickel or Nichrome Wire for this function to work.

Hope this helps you guys. Have additional tips on this subject? Please comment below"
