New to e-cigs and spending too much?

Hello all...my name is Shannon and I received my Automatic PV (SmokeTip) just last wednesday, April 6th. I started using it on Thursday morning April 7th. Between The 7th and the 9th along with vaping I smoked 5-analogs total. Since the 9th I have not had one analog nor do I have any desire whatsoever to have one. I think the 5 that I smoked in those few days was just to "re-check" and assure myself that I wasn't missing something. I purchased menthol 16mg cartos with my pv, I found them to be too strong and changed to 12mg menthol from SmokeTip. I then joined this forum and lurked around for a couple days reading and educating myself a bit. Now, today....I purchased a MANUAL Vapor King Short from V4L with one pack of blank cartos and one pack of 11mg Nuport cartos. AND since I am so eager to try flavors but still want that menthol flavor, I went to TastyVapor.com and purchase Atomic Cinnacide (not too sure what this will taste like) at 12mg PG 80/ VG 20 as well as "mix yourself" which I mixed pear and menthol flavor together at 12mg PG 80 / VG 20. I too am finding myself CONSTANTLY surfing the web looking for different things to buy and or learn about vaping. I am really glad to have found this forum it has been a great tool for me thus far. Yes, you can fill your carts with it. In all fairness, I haven't tasted a menthol juice yet that's exactly like I remember Newport tastes. I stopped looking because the Menthol Ice has such a clean, cool, refreshing taste that I fell in love with it immediately.

I share this because I don't want you to purchase this and you find it doesn't taste like what you expected.

I would respectfully suggest you visit their site and order a sample. That way you won't waste money if you don't like it.

I vape 18mg (high). I'm not sure if nic levels are consistent between all the various juices available. I'd suggest staying with the 12mg level you already vape and go up or down a level if it doesn't satisfy you. It's one of those things you'll have to experiment with.

how come your sig line still shows you as having saved. If i ever get aound to a signature i will do a bit more math in it. heh heh 12 weeks since my last cigarette, $350 not spent on cigarettes $750 spent on pvs, batteries, juice, cartos, atomizers, nicotine, juice, flavorings, bottles, chargers, carrying cases # of hours on ECF 210 lost workhours from surfing internet and looking at e-cig information 174 etc etc etc.

I've spent a boat load on kits, batteries, juice, atty's, carto's etc. It's a year and almost 3 months since my last cigarette and I have no regrets. I don't buy like I did, although the lure of trying new things is always present. I make my own now and only buy when I need to back something up with the occasional purchase of got to try this or that. However, I put $50 a week away as if I was still smoking, so I guess I am saving after all. It's all just so very tempting.......... Good Luck and happy vaping

its easy to spend too much when trying to find the right set up etc. ive vaped little over a month and spend in the neighborhood of $700.00. never felt so good about spending money. i figure i will spend about 1k the first year to find the pv i like and juices i like and i will still be couple grand ahead.

I absolutely will let you know if I order how I like it. I am pretty sure that I am going to order it at 12mg as you suggested. I went onto their site and they don't have many flavors at all, unless I am missing something somewhere. Doesn't matter though, the menthol one is the important one at the moment. Thanks a bunch!

I have only been vapin' for 2 1/2 months and managed to spent $700.00 most of which was for DIY. I've got about 100 flavors now to work with and enough nic juice VG & PG to last for 2 yrs. I figured it out and I would have spent $1825.00 for just one year of cigarettes so I figure I am way ahead on the $ and healthier to boot!

I have just tallied up all of my spending since the beginning of my vaping which was just last Thursday, April 7th...I have spent a total of $204.69. That was for 2 different brand starter kits, e-juices, a case, and extra cartos. I think I will slow down now and experiment a bit with what I will have for a while to see what is good for me. The DIY sounds interesting but a lot of work and I am not too sure I want to get into all of that.

I, too have spent quite a sum of money since the end of February when I started vaping. Unfortunately, $200+ was spent on sn e-cig brand and cartridges that I quickly became dissatisfied with. Since coming to this forum, I now have a Riva 510 and am slowly building a tasty juice supply. Today, I am placing another order for batteries and attys, since I don't want to get caught short.

Spent $190 at the mall for a piece of poo kit, then straight to mods then the 'best flavor' juice-chasing began. I'm 5 months in and get vapemail nearly daily. Highest was 8 packages in one day. I work a lot and have some downtime so I've gone a little nutty with purchases. I don't need 100+ juices. The classifieds section here is great when I go way overboard. If something isn't a fit I put in on the classys. It works kind of like eBay with positive/neg feedback section. I loan out mods and supplies to friends and family. It's become cause-driven for me. I don't push it on anyone but when they ask I share. What an awesome experience to watch the excitement and transformation. Most are vaping non-smokers now. That's priceless. I'm waiting on another mod from GLV, a few juices and 306 attys to arrive. Can't wait for the triple coil cartos to go on sale! I'm definitely slowing down, finally.

I spend to much also
First order was for my mom and I but bought 2 510 starter kits 10 spare blank carts 2 spare atos 2 spare batts and 4 10 ml bottles of juice (different flavors)
Then I found the riva and ordered another 2 riva kits and 2 30 ml juices
Today I ordered 155 ml of juice 2 bottles and am looking at ordering some cartos and thinking about my first mod

So far I've spent 328 bucks and who knows how much my first mod will be (thinking about a used BB if I can find one so hopefully around 100 more once I get bats and charger ect.)

Which I guess isn't to bad when you figgure if our equipment holds up the juice will last us another month and we would have spent 700-900 on smokes in 2 months.
