ah! well that sucks lol

I was thinking about something else today. when you vape is there ANY smell associated with it at all? like for example if I were to vape in my wifes car would she kill me like she does if I try to smoke in her car?

Hey Wolf...

I'm new here too, and I just received my order from Steve today, great company, trust me you will be happy.

When I first joined this site I thought these people must all be paid by the company to rep the product or something because they were all ga-ga over the company the service and had nothing negative to say, but I understand it now.

My package took a week, which is good because it had to clear Canadian and American customs, and the customer service is outstanding, so I'm a convert too I guess...if I purchase again I can't imagine going through a different company.

I know how you feel about the waiting though, I'm the same way, any time I order anything online I go nuts waiting for it, I'm a bit paranoid though, I always think I'm getting ripped off, even if I have absolutely no reason to feel that way.

Anyway...

I notice there is a tiny bit of smell when you are the one smoking the thing, but if you have someone else blow their vapor at you you can barely smell it if at all...

It's nothing at all like the smell from a cigarette though, and trust me, if someone who doesn't smoke has been putting up with you smoking around them and you pull this thing out they are not going to complain in the least.

Your wife will probably be so happy not to have that heavy cig smell around you all the time that she will be overjoyed about you doing the vapor thing anywhere and everywhere.

AAARRRRRGH!!! the waiting is killing me!!!

ok it looks like my order will be here today. looks like 4 days for an order to get to me. now comes the hard part. that means I should be placing an order today for more carts. however I can't cause I don't know which flavors I like yet :( how long does a cart usually last? I smoke about a pack and a half a day of ultralights. and from what I'm seeing you actually vape MORE that you smoke right? so do you think 16 carts would last a week?

it is funny though I think I am already a loyal fan of the VK and my order hasn't arrived yet lol just by reading the boards I'm hooked lol

I don't think you'll need 16/wk, I was a pack and half/day smoker and I've gone all day on one cart. But I generally use two carts on rotation as other have mentioned. I'm a desk jocky with a PC, so I use a USB PT while at my desk and a battery/cart in my shirt pocket for when I'm away. I carry the little case thing with extra refilled carts and batts and a ditty bag with other junk and juice for a refill/top-off as needed.

I was a 2-pack/day smoker, and I usually rotate 3 or 4 flavors. But if I'm only using 1, it lasts me until the evening when I usually have to start a 2nd one. So I use about 1.5 per day, slightly more on the week-ends when I'm not working and just messing around at my computer -- so around 10-12 per week.

woohoo it finally came in!!!!!! and there were a couple of little extras in there :) I got a couple of extra carts an extended manual battery and the pt I was supposed to get was a manual but the one that I received was an auto :) I guess it is true what everyone else is saying!!! Steve you ARE awesome :)

ok so now I have tried it and I don't know if this is normal or not but wow I feel REAL light headed. I don't kn ow if that is normal or if it is just cause it is my first day and I just keep hitting it cause it is so cool :) now I know the nico lvl will make a difference but I figured 11 mg SHOULD be fine since I was smoking ultra lights and from what I've seen here it seams like you typically get less nico than a regular cigarette

but what do I know? like the title of this thread says I'm new to all this :)

Yippee!! you probably just need to slow down a bit! I smoke ultra lights and find that 18 on a regular batt is good and 11 on the PT is good but I do have to be careful and make sure I put it down, constant vaping makes me nauseous. Can't use it like an analog.

It's different for everyone, but I was a little light-headed the first few times. It might not be the nic level at all -- vaping is way different from smoking. So unless you use a home vaporizer for asthma or something, your lungs and body aren't used to the warm vapor yet. Give it a little time before you start making adjustments.

Yea, Steve and crew are totally awesome with their service and generosity. Now you know what we've all been raving about. :D

aargh!!! this is driving me crazy. I am trying to be good! I swear I am! a couple of times tonight while puffing on the VK I get in my mind that I need a cigarette! I know that I don't need one! it is just the habit in me to have one. I know I need to resist but it is hard!

sorry just had to rant and kinda voice my thoughts to hopefully tell my brain to stop asking for a cigarette :)

I got lightheaded the first few days of vaping, too. I think it was because I was actually getting oxygen into my cells instead of carbon monoxide and whatever else cigs deliver to us. It went away after awhile.

I too had the cravings and I still do, but it gets less and less. If it's too much, then have a cig if you need to. I had a few for the first month of vaping. But eventually gave them up. And now I hardly think of cigs, I think of my pv. I don't even want to smoke anymore but I sure don't want to give up my vaporizer! Today is 50 days no cigs.

If I can do it, you can do it, too.

Hang in there!

:) Hang in there Wolfman, it's not that bad. I'm a 30+ year guy myself and when I got my starter kit last month I had 3 packs left. I vaped most of the days and had an analog here and there but when those ran out, I didn't buy anymore. There were times during the second and third weeks I'd get a little "jittery", we all know about that... but thanks to the kick of the passthrough I'd soon calm down. THIS IS KIND OF FUNNY but what I had to overcome as well is what to do when you'd normally go outside to smoke (this is when I'm at work mostly). I suddenly had all this extra time. The good part of this is as your lungs clear up you find that you have more of the ability to do things... like go for a walk!
