I own a decent little collection of pvs (not that that qualifies my opinion any more than anyone elses) and all that other good stuff to use with them. Out of everything I own, I'm using my lavatube the most. It is definately worth the price for what it is. Recommended, highly, especially if you're using egos; it'll be like night and day for you.

I think you'll be happy with the LT. I have one, and it seems the 1st run production problems have been addressed. The only issue now seems to be centered around battery issues. When I ordered mine, it came with AW flat top 18650 batteries that have now been shown to be counterfeit. Not sure what they are, but I'm not using them until I know if they are safe chemistry or not. I have genuine AW IMR button top 18650's and they fit just fine. See if you can snag some of those.

I have tried my brother's provari... do you think this will be somewhat equivalant to it?

In the fact that it's a tube that you stick a battery in and you can change the voltage, yes.

What you have to realize is that almost all these big battery mods are exactly the same. Either you can change the voltage or you can't.

A lavatube will perform spot on with a Provari at the same voltage with the same atties/cartos/whatever.

What you're paying for with the provari is build quality and aesthetics.

It's not as sturdily built, I wouldn't expect it to last a lifetime, but for the money it is well worth it.

That's like comparing a Corvette to a Chevette. The ProVari is an American made device and the quality shows it. The LT is China made and also shows it. As for performance, they both perform the same but you can definitely tell which one is of better quality.

you're going to love it. got mine this morning and i've been loving some 4.8v-5v vaping.
downside is i have about ten LR dual coils that there's just no point using on the lavatube, but I guess until i'm comfortable taking the LT outside (it's pretty big and... obvious) I can just throw the dcc's onto an ego batt whenever it's neccesary.

If it were me, I'd buy the lava tube. On another note, I have 3 provaris because I love them so much.... they are truly amazing. If and when you have the money to spend, definitely buy a provari. I have a lava tube coming to me in the mail as I write this, so I can't say how great they are yet, but they look pretty solid. My girlfriend is using one of my provaris right now, but she is a bit more clumsy with it than I would like her to be. The lava tube is one of the many christmas gifts I am getting for her. Switching the topic again, your desire to purchase a VV device this early in your vaping journey is something I would recommend to anyone new to vaping, but I don't see too many newbies going that bold route, so for that, I commend you!!! Take the plunge, get the lava tube, I'm sure you won't regret it. Welcome to the vaping world and have a happy holiday!!
