Look how easy it is to get hard drugs, and that's a felony. This won't ever be a felony.

As I understand it, the PACT act made import of and transport of cigarettes through the USPS a felony. The panic attack I got when I learned this is what led me to a frantic internet search of alternatives which led me to e-cigs. I'd never even heard of e-cigs before that--live in the woods, no TV, no malls. So I would not ever say that these will never be a felony. They just make transport a felony, like they did with regular cigarettes!

Well , in the event that it does happen...i also can help out.

What really ticks me off about this whole thing is....they don't care about the people, they care about the cash from the tobacco industry. They should be worrying about things that really effect our country, like the sale of certain pain pills that have young americans addicted to the tune of stealing, robbing and doing anything possible to get them. Not worrying about the ones that are actually trying to make a positive health change.

This whole country should ban together and vote these idiots out of office....I just wish we had people running for office that had one ioda of common sense.

I shudder when I think about the possibilities...
Another poster mentioned this--when the cigarette taxes in NY became astronomical, everyone turned to Indian reservations to avoid the tax. FedEx and UPS voluntarily stopped shipping cigarettes to NY residents, and we were left with the USPS. The law has since been amended to make it outright illegal to ship cigarettes into NY State.
For the moment, I'm confident about getting supplies online--but if we lose the fight in NY (which I fear we will--the Senate health committee is voting on this bill during a closed session) other states might follow. How far off is a national ban?!!
Don't think it's possible? I know I'm not the only one who remembers a world where you could smoke just about anywhere. Did you ever think you would live in a country where you can barely smoke a cigarette in any other place besides your own home? Where child custody cases are being decided based on the smoking choices of the parents? Where legislators have actually toyed with the idea of making it illegal for you to smoke in your own car?!!
Keep fighting, folks--it's important...

Oh we do not to keep fighting, and I think we may well see bans in several states (NY is almost a lock IMO.) I was commenting that I don't think they're going to make it a felony. That is based on comparisons with other things which are regulated and banned. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt it ever gets to that extreme. Even the NY ban outlaws only sale and distribution, not purchase or possession, and it isn't even a crime. It's a regulatory violation subject to a civil penalty.

Its possible that Paypal only just found out what TW sells.

Because they have frequently dropped E-Cig and E-Cig juice suppliers many times in the past.

They actually have made it a rule after they were warned over legal liability by ASH and FDA.

PayPal Warned About E-Cigarette Legal Liability | Tobacco Facts.

And paypal isn't the only merchant that does this.

It wasn't all that long ago when the Merchant for Viking Vapors dropped them. And after they did it Viking vapor didn't even have access to the sales records! Even those that paid but they hadn't been sent the products yet. They ended up shutting down their site for a time until everything was cleared up.

I just wish I was handy enough to make box mods then I could calm down.
All I own is a hammer and a screwed up screwdriver:evil:

Don't fear this one... I or any other NYker will share with you. I just made my first one and it works; the problem is having atomizers for the (if) ban starts until the holes are found and they can start selling the devices as vaporizers.

So the other important part is the nicotine liquid; I'm confident you could buy non-nicotine liquid, so talking to our vendors and asking for really strong flavors to mix with our own nicotine liquid will help there.

Just curious as to where you heard this. As far as I know they haven't even set a date to call it for discussion.
The Vapers Coalition was attempting to arrange for people to attend and speak at the meeting and we were told that you can onlhy speak if you are INVITED.

So we are encouraging people to schedule meetings or phone the committee members for a one-on-one before the committee meets.

Ok thats pretty pathetic that they don't have open hearings. In fact it's downright insulting in many ways as well.

I normally like to try to say something funny in my post's when I reply to topics but I can't think of anything for this since it really pisses me off.

I found another thread about this from 2009.

i just tried to order supplies from Totally Wicked.....At checkout, their site directs to Pay Pal for payment - Guess what? You guessed it, Pay Pal rejected my credit card :nah: - they didn't give a specific reason....it just stated; "we cannot process your credit card".....that was it - Im assuming its due to my NYS address........this is total BS :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

TW shouldn't use PayPal anyways... they usually won't deal with E-Cigs at all. Also PayPal can hold your funds and seize them at anytime they want to because they do not have to follow the same rules as a bank because they aren't technically a bank. They have screwed a lot of people over for a lot of money.

Check these out....
