Yes you're right i think a case of 2+2 = 5 because earlier posts obviously weren't read even if you drip on an RDTA it doesn't become an RDA it still remains an RDTA because it has the tank below so you were correct from the beginning and it was never marketed as an RDTA, RDA, RTA combo has suggested earlier in the thread.
Anyway back on topic i keep it simple and use Kanthal or SS when using with Replay.

I regularly use Ni80 and Kanthal. Vape wise, I don't really notice much of a difference. Kanthal last a bit longer and the Ni80 heats up faster...

If you want TC, check out the Dicodes NiFe30 wire. I've never used it but most hardcore TC users swear by it..
