Cold stays in a chest freezer when it's open if you can dedicate about 5 square feet of floor space.

Absolutely, a chest freezer is better if you're in and out of it a lot.
For me the concern with a chest freezer is that I avoid bending as much as possible due to my spinal condition, I don’t even get stuff out of our reach in freezer unless it’s on top and I still have to be careful with the movement of raising/lifting the chest door. I normally just use the freezer attached to the refrigerator so I’m definitely leaning towards side doors for this purchase...

I got mine from a scratch and dent store called https://www.openboxdirect.com/ alas it appears they have shut down.

ETA: This is the one I got, I paid $197 for it.....

The drawers are great, and it has a built in lock.

Mine is a lot like yours,,,, Mr. P. but it's a 3.2 cube footer. I also got mine from compactappliances for about 10$ more.

My preference was a door freeze, not a chest freeze. (options!)

This was before I moved him inside. He's been infallible for kwite a few years now, and holds a :censored: ton of nicotina. And a bunch of buttah.

VT "throat hit" nicotine isn't any harsher than your average nicotine.
Their premium is just very low TH.

I'm happy with Chemnovatic from Nicotine River because it's reasonably priced and extra mild TH.
Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience with the chemnovatic nic. After 2 months refrigerated it turned. Smelled and tasted awful. The odor was quite peculiar. Someone here recently mentioned a similar experience with nic that had turned as a damp, dirty barn/musty hay odor ( I don’t recall if they were referring to the same brand, I don’t think they were ). That was a lot of nic I hated to have to wash down the drain. I’m glad your experience was better than mine . Obviously mine was an anomaly

I saw some discussion about buying nic during the Summer on the stocking up thread.
In 2014 I bought some Heartland nic in the Summer heat. It was slightly yellow when I received it.
It's flavor became strong quickly but not too. Luckily I made juice for quite a few chain vapers at the time so it was gone before it went bad. I believe a strong heat "injury" could accelerate nicotine into aging rapidly.
@ChelsB Do you remember if you bought that peculiar Chemnovatic during the Summer?

We had a chest freezer that was more than a decade old up until a couple of years ago. We bought a new upright freezer and I store my nic in a box inside that freezer. To prevent possible contamination I bought heavy freezer bags to store my liters broken down into 240ml glass bottles. I just roll up the sealed bags with the bottles inside, seal the zip strip, and store them in a cardboard box in the freezer. So far, all is well with no leaks.

I like to be able to see the contents and check occasionally for leakage or color change. So far, so good.

I broke my liters down into 120ml Boston Rounds and placed the bottles inside of a shoebox size Rubbermaid Tote. Then put the totes in the freezer. That way if by chance there is a leak, or a bottle breaks, the leak will be contained.

I just happened to have a right sized cardboard box when I did mine. I used the box the empty bottles were shipped in. I like the idea of a Tupperware container for spill and leak containment. I might look for one at Walmart that is about the same size as my freezer storage box. Heavy zip lock bags inside an exact sized cardboard box conserved space, but I have to cut the tape to look inside and check. Mine is inside the large upright freezer that my wife uses for everything else. No leaks tolerated!

@Rossum, I suppose I could rinse out a clear water glass and pour it into that and take a photo, and then pour in amber bottles but wouldn’t that introduce even more oxygen? However, I will do that for you if you’d like . Just let me know

I don’t know why I never thought of that, I’ve just been relying on double bagged Ziplocks in cardboard boxes. This is WAY smarter. I am going to buy some of these plastic boxes now, what a great suggestion, @mikepetro !

After doing some looking around at freezers, this is exactly what I’m looking for. I will be ordering this shortly. It was a little more than I wanted to pay but oh well, it has everything I want and more; I just love the drawers. I may even pop my rarely used flavors in there. Thanks again for the suggestion!

I suppose pouring twice will expose it to more oxygen than pouring just once, but I'm not sure the difference will be significant. Anyway, it would be cool if you could do that with just one of those bottles. Then you'd also know what it looked like when you received it. I would mark the bottle the photographed sample ends up in, ”Use first".
