I think we should be on the next page now... so here are two more pics regarding the Low DropOut Voltage Regulator installation

And here is another detailing the bottom battery connection:

I did not plan on doing a how-to on this 5 volt because I honestly did not think anyone would want a how-to because no one ever made the Nico-Drip V2 in spite of the instructions. It was insinuated that it was too hard. Well... the 5 volt is definitely more intricate than the V2. See where I'm coming from?

With that in mind.... I have been working on the Nico-Drip V2 "how-to" for a straight thread on it. Which is now ready to upload to Photobucket. While preparing to post the Nico-Drip V1 with a how-to included.

Confused yet?

The pictures I have put up on this 5 volt so far were just tossed into the mass of photos I've been dealing with lately. I threw these in for Jiff and Sgood because they stated they were interested in making one and with you showing up. With the pictures presented.... I know they'd be able to. The pictures I have put up are the only tricky parts where they may lose time or make mistakes. That's why I took them the other day and have put them here.

A complete Nico-Drip 5 Volt how-to can only be after I finish the mass of uploading and posting I need to do beforehand... which I have already stated I would do and I feel I am obligated to do. (and I want to do all of them)

Now......... if that is not enough to confuse you.......... you should see the mass of pictures I have been finishing in between doing the normal chores of Life I do everyday.............. (but pics have come along amazingly well)

And......... I know no one but Connman will believe me..... (because he was here to witness it)......... This morning my computer erased my log-in administrative account to Windows XP..... and I had to use "System Restore" to get back on line. No kidding!

So.........

If I had lost all these pictures with instructions......... ? ............. :censored::facepalm:

omgitsthr33.... if the 5 volt is the one you want..... you should order the parts..... by the time they all arrive, the 5 volt how-to will probably start being posted.

If someone were to follow a how-to about the speed it takes for me to get it posted..... they would not be overwelmed in the whole of it. Everything, as in Life, is merely one step at a time.

On the other hand.... anyone already having the parts would really only need to take a look at the Nico-Drip V2 thread to get the box and liquid feeding instructions.... just put the atomizer battery connection and tubing holes over further..... break out the battery separating plastic.... and see the instructions already posted here and be able to do the 5 volt.

This mod is all about patience and time.... to eventually obtain a perfect personal vaporizer for a person without patience and time. Yin/Yang.

My brother informed me that, on normal settings, it takes 10 posts... regardless of length.... to get to another page in the thread.

I am trying to figure out the best way to post a Nico-Drip V2 how-to thread without obliterating any viewers on regular dial-up from being able to see it.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I tried the "attachment" feature and it only makes tiny pictures.

Long time listener, first time caller. I am truly in awe of your modding skills. I am equally as impressed with the unselfishness you go about your time by posting these detailed instructions and how to information for the whole world to see.

I really intend to put forth the time and effort to make a Nico-Drip v2 that I would at the very least not be embarrassed to post pictures and post credit of your innovation. With that being said, I am not the most talented with electronics, but feel as though the 3V should be relatively easy enough for me to do, and with a LR Atty I think would satisfy my vaping pleasure. I did however have two questions on the feeding system. In your Dreams and Chains Presents pictorial when observing the it appears that all you did was replace the the bottle top with the brass lighter fitting and tube, and the aquarium tubing fits right over the double o-ring? Also, the 14 AWG tubing would still be necessary to go to the bottom of the bottle?

Lastly, I tried a crude juice feed without fittings, albeit with larger diameter tube .140 O.D. and .080 I.D. by drilling a 9/64 hole on the bottle and the cart to see if I could supply the cart with juice. The conclusion I came up with was that the juice was just moving back and forth in the tube. Was this due to the diameter of the tube, or the fact the it was unable to draw air from anywhere (I had filler in the cart BTW)? Does the smaller diameter hose correct that issue. Or is it the fact that the juice must actually drip out of the tube to be able to draw air? I like the idea of being able to fill a cart and not necessarily drip, as I fear flooding. Although I believe I will build this mod with the drip tip you linked, as it gives it an clean look.

I hope I didn`t take too much of your time with this post, as I am sure you are inundated with questions and requests for help.

Thank You,
Bob

I`ll just give an update on this awesome mod My sister made for me at 5 Volts.
This thing will spoil you in many ways.

The flavor seems enhanced by having plenty to feed the atomizer. I`m still using a filler of Blue Foam but only at the tip of the cart. It rest on the fitting she has coming in the side and makes this thing work great.

I`ve been messing with what would be the best way to use the bottle feeding. I`ve found I seem to like squeezing the bottle while holding the unit on its side then go upside down with it when releasing the bottle. This seems to suck off anything that would be to much in the juice chamber I`m thinking. Sure hasn`t flooded by doing it this way. And like I said the flavor is awesome. Like a fresh toped off cart is always there.

I`m going to have to say if this was my first e-cig I would have never had to try another.
To my sister I say :toast: this thing is incredible.

Now I need to do as storminyte and make juice feeder mods. Should have listened to storminyte on that warning these things will spoil you.

Ok..... okay....... I'm sorry...... I couldn't resist! Sci and Nicotime aren't around to pester me so I simply must pick on myself. My gawd..... I'm trolling my own thread!

omgitsthr33..... thank you regarding the Nico-Drip V2. And keep in mind.... I'm a fairly novice modder too. Most of what is seen in these mods were accidents that I paid attention to. We are guided in mysterious ways. :2c:

zbasspro.... thank you also..... and great questions! I have pictures ready to be uploaded and posted back in the Nico-Drip V2 thread to wrap up some loose ends........ that bottle prep pic I have was going to be forgotten again but for you mentioning it! When I get a chance (and after I install my "modded" windshield wiper motor) I'll get back on those questions.

And to ConnMan..... Thank you for trying the ole "24"! ..... and taking the time to post about it.

And I'll be on topic when I return! I swear! :p

Trapped by Schrödinger's cat....
Dreams:

I ordered all the necessary parts such as the batt connectors and etc... to build this and a 5V as well :)

I am hoping that I can make a decent working version for my GF and myself.
(Likely QC on this will be nowhere near your level of craftsmanship, but hey, it's my first go-round ;))

Not sure if it would be PC to ask this here, so please do not take offense.

Would it be at all possible for you to do a quick and dirty how-to for the Touch Switch mod, similar to what the Saber Mod and others use?
I find it intriguing and would love to integrate that into a juice fed system.
I have other ideas as well... If you would prefer to PM me regarding them, I would be more than happy to share. :)

I'm not real familiar with the touch switch, Shadowlife. I've read about it back when I had time and was just a heavy duty Lurker learning but can't really remember much about it. I think the biggest info I came across was in (/drum roll) THE OTHER FORUM (/echo) ....... They were discussing it in great detail it seems. You know about (whisper) The other forum? (/whisper) It is another large e-cig forum you can find by searching Google. We aren't allowed giving it's link here due to an apparent Click-N-Flame war that happened in the past.

I'm sorry I don't have time presently to help. My brother (ConnMan) was talking about it just recently.... I'll see if he's interested in testing it out and doing a how-to.

That would be nice, and thank you for taking the time to respond :)
I have been contributing a bit into the potential search for a micro pump.
Ahh endless possibilities... ;)

So a quick related question: How did you get the super cool little "fang" looking part where the bottle opening is?
That was really a finishing touch!

That was really a finishing touch!

Do you mean in my "Modding Bites" pic? My brother's birthday present that isn't getting done? And his Birthday is, like, 8 days from now?

Nico-FANGS.jpg

I melted some of the ABS Plastic left over from the box (like I showed in the V2 how-to).... then filed little fangs and sanded.

If you look closely you'll see paint left-overs...... from where I tried painting it once and hated how it turned out. Instead of looking like a snake...... it looked like Spider Man! I should post my mess-ups somewhere!

That's actually why I posted that pic...... so people could let their imagination run wild on these mods. Simple fangs could be wolves, tigers, cats, dogs...... or like my personal next Nico-Drip V2 will be..... a Lion or Cougar.

Glad you mentioned that..... I forgot that I was thinking of incorporating it into the New and Improved "How to Make a Nico-Drip V2" thread. Unpainted like this..... then painting it.
