Oops, wrong acid :) Folks sure seem brave putting all these salts and acids into their lungs lately. Guess it's beats smoking.

I wish Nic River actually stated what they used. It is a bit eeky to know something was treated with an acid and they dont state what it is.

I agree...but I'm also hoping that note on their site means that they are trying to use something better. This is my first nic salts order. I am intrigued by the idea and figure I might as well try a sample size of it to see if it's for me.

Has anyone else ordered nic salts and had precipitate or crystals floating in the product??? I personally think @dansus post alarming...I wouldn't know what to think to see all of those crystals left over. I've only ordered freebase nic (but I've ordered a lot of it), and I've never seen anything like it...

The use of benzoic acid itself is not a major concern, but the amount they have used. Going by PAX's guidelines, which is on the high side, it should be a benzoate 5.4% mix. 13% is just ridiculous.

Given they also sell NicSelect, no idea why they are peddling this crap.

Exactly. Have you informed the vendor you purchased from? I certainly would and ask either for a replacement or a refund. It could be an oversight, altho, one would hope they inspected a product before just passing it on.

Ive spoken to them. I dont think they really understand whats going on, but are taking steps to rectify things.

This is their first batch, just glad i was able to intercept it before it got too widely distributed. Thats just one vendor though, how many others are going to be mixing this sh*t into their juices.

Actually, we had the salts when we smoked cigarettes. Naturally occurring in the nicotine in the tobacco leaves.. Its the freebasing process that removes the salts.

I have tried the Nic River salts, and made my own with citric acid. The Nic River gave me an uncomfortable feeling "in" my lungs. I wouldnt say it hurt, but I could tell a difference that I didnt care for, like it was harder to breath right after or like when I have a cold and it is hard to breath. My citric mixes, which I do by pH, never give me that, but they do gunk up a coil faster.

All of that being said I prefer the freebase myself. I reserve the salts for when I want a higher nic level. Like when I know I will be stealth hitting and not have many chances to take a hit, in that circumstance I want the maximum nic delivery per hit that I can handle and the salts deliver that.

    Never, ever tried one. LOL
I am happy at my measly little 3-6 mg. I think I'll keep it there.

I'm going to give the CA salts a go since I'm making juice for a few people to try to get them to switch over and using an icare and/or mymini.

    What's your target ph level?
