received mine a couple days ago and just let it sit there but randomly decided to try it out. first things first, i threw away the pre-built wick and coil, washed it out because it smelled like machining oil, switched out the crappy loose fitting driptip, and wrapped dual coil 3mm ekowool with 3 wraps of 30 gauge to give me .7ohms. you def. wanna drill out a second air hole and increase the diameters of both holes. aesthetic differences between the chimbus and the nimbus: longer top section on the chimbus and unpolished (looks brushed), and the 4 stripes on the top are more spaced apart. what im trying to get at is people that know what a nimbus is won't be fooled that it's a nimbus. the posts also require allen keys which isn't too bad but the thing is so tiny that i know that losing it may be a concern for some. the holes in the posts are also much smaller on the chimbus so i don't see quad coils working on it (i can barely fit them in my nimbus) and the drip well is considerably smaller as well. performance wise, it really just depends on your build. the 3 posts def. make dual coiling easier so if money is an issue i would suggest picking this up over say an igo-L but yeah, the real nimbus is hands down worth every penny.

Just did a quick experiment since I got 2 clones. One with dual 3/32air hole for dual coils and the other single coil with single 3/32airhole. I put the cap with the dual airhole on the single coil build and vapor production is insane! You guys should try it out, dual air hole that is. Start small first like a 1/16 hole and work your way up.

I actually have an igo-l set up this way, with 2 holes opposing, but on a single coil at .5ohm, it is amazing.
Unfortunately i have 3 of these sitting somewhere in hong kong, maybe next month i can play with it

I guess I'll give the extra hole a try tomorrow. Been playing with different coils and wick material. So far the Eko is doing very well. I have tried pure un treated, non bleached organic cotton yarn I paid a bunch for and it just does not last very long before scorching. That's probably me not keeping things wet enough or I need to spin it tighter.

Yeah I actually like the dual air hole on a single coil. Can't wait to try a build with a flat ribbon kanthal. I got them on pre-order from temco.

Someday I'll get some ribbon but right now I want to use the Vamo so I'm keeping the ohms 1.2+ even with two coils. Using 32 wire with about 5-6 wraps on each to do it.

Anybody found screws for these things yet? I know the Igo-l screws fit cause that's what I have in mine. But I want to order another and need 3 more screws for it when it gets here without having to order another Igo just for the screws, lol. I love this dripper! Seems a real great copy of the nimbus (aside from minor aesthetics).

yup found screws for it. Screw measurements, M2x0.4mm pitch and 4mm in length if you want to look for it locally. You can also get them online from kidneypuncher, just type in "screws" on the product search and there should be 2 options either one will work. I tried the screw on my aga-t2 post on the clone and its the right size and thread pitch, good to go!

Cool, thanx! Youde must use the same size screws for all their atties, cause like I said I took the 2 from my Igo-l and 1 from it's spare parts bag to make 3 in mine. I really like this atty, but haven't used it much since I got my Reo. Planning on putting it on my ELA with a subΩ dual coil build.

Drilled a second hole, broke two 1/16" bitts in the process ended finishing it with a 1/8" because I got PO'd and ran out of 1/16" bitts. Hole much too big, duh. Using a small piece of duct tape to block 3/4 of the hole and it's fine. Will have to fill and re-drill the hole. Put a .8 Ω total dual in there tonight and running it on the GG clone. Used 4/3 wraps of 30 wire and doubled over 2mm silica this go around. Lots of vapor but the RDA got pretty darn warm.
Will get some of those screws, appreciate the find and posting the info. Worried one time those allen screw tops will be stripped with as much tinkering as I'm doing testing different wicks and wires.

Your in for a treat. Be ready to drop your nic..

Absolutely, one thing i didn't realise when i started messing with sub-ohm builds, is that you get a lot more nicotine per hit. I use 24mg on my cobra and rsst at work, but when i'm at home with stupid clouds, i dropped down to 12mg.

Yeah I've been using cotton wicks for a while now and really like it better than silica and yes the clone does get hot when I chain vape even with 2 air holes. I've been thinking about doing a hybrid wick with the clone, ss mesh with either cotton or silica in the middle. Took a break from the clone and finally got my aga-t2 working with ss mesh, have it for 3 weeks and could not get a good vape out of the thing. But last night was the day it worked! ss mesh seems to give a cleaner taste and flavor.

I think I was using the RDA too much, my smell and taste senses seem to be dulled. Too much heavy hot vape, lol. I'm taking a break from it.
I have the T2 and the only great vaping I can get out of the thing is to keep the fill screw out, then it works great. I have not tried a hollow wick yet but that's next. I've used solid mesh, mesh over silica and mesh over Eko. I also need to try Eko over skinny mesh, which may do good also. With the fill screw in, just don't get the correct juice flow for me, even with tilting.
