Have read most of thi s post and being directly involved in the the field of law enforcement, I can say there is no right he had in confiscating your PV (assuming these are all the facts). We can not confiscate property purely on the basis we do not know what it is for. I don't just say this to everyone, but if these are all the facts this sounds like a legit complaint. internal affairs complaint would be in order. If it takes a return to analogs for a bit it will only be a step back.

Funny, law enforcement tell civilians that ignorance of the law is no defense. But apparently, ignorance of the law give law enforcement reason to steal civilians property. That is absolutely ridiculous and I would make a formal complaint against that "officer" I'd probably go as far to call the local news and let them know how your personal possessions were taken from you without cause or reason, yet you weren't even ticketed. Thats just me tho.

I have absolutely NO tolerance for police officers with their power trips. There are good, decent cops and there are absolute horribly stupid, power trip cops. You got pulled over by probably the most stupid cop on that force and should make sure he pays for his mistake.

Hell, I would go as far to say that this idiot has put your life at risk because you had quit inhaling all of the carcinogens, chemicals, poisons etc etc in cigarettes and because of him you are now back to cigarettes again.

If I was still vaping and this happened to me.... I would have ended up in jail because I would not have let him take something that was mine and not illegal. Stupid SOB!

I call 100% pure bull..... on this story, as told by the OP.

My guess is that it never happened at all, or it did but with CRITICAL info omitted...like his vehicle was towed incident to arrest, etc, and the vaping stuff was lumped in.

I do not appreciate what the OP has done here, and a lot of the responses are disheartening. Whipping up anti-police sentiment always gets my goat, though, but I am without a doubt biased as a law enforcement officer myself...who vapes, and encourages others to vape.

Yeah that's funny I do practically the same thing to get out of speeding tickets :D,( thought I am not a girl I have beautiful blue eyes :D ) when I was in the military I always had my ID card conveniently with my DL :D

It is amazing what how effective the power of persuasion is when you go the positive route in trying to get your way.

Hee! Good one Duck!!

(BTW, I made up a little somethin' somethin' for you yesterday on the 'What do you think ECF staff members look like?'

I'm getting suspicious as to whether this is a true story. The OP is a new member, made a couple of posts then disappeared, wouldn't say what town this supposedly happened in. The story is also strange, stopped by a cop, took the e-cigs and drove off. No citation, no arrest. Just give me the e-cigs and goodbye?

I'm with you on this one Jerry. Why hasn't the OP come back and said anything? I am starting to think it's a bunch of hogwash! Can it happen? Yes! Has it happened? I'm sure! Did it happen to the OP? I'm thinking not. Could be wrong but....

One of the problems and it's something that even the people on this site seem to be unaware of is that there are people using pv's (yes even 510's) to vaporize Recreational Chemicals. These are powdered synthetic versions of everything you can think of. They are being used in pv's. It doesn't sound like this cop has a clue but you never know.

Brad, could you post links and studies on this, I've googled "electronic cigarettes drug delivery" "personal vaporizers used street drugs" oh, pretty well ran the gamut of search terms and found nothing, other than your typical Volcano type Vaporizers that the ........ users smoke with. I'd like to know what rec. chems are being abused through ecigs.

If this is going on, I'll be the first to admit I was totally unaware of it.
