Hope all infected with the virus recover....One cannot be to safe....
Got gas today....I use the local Shell locations...Pumps are the same so I know everywhere I gotta touch it...Damn right it's dripping some old school white lightening before I touch it....When I come out of a store I hold my head back and spray directly into my face trying to get it into my nose....Now they say the British version of Covid is in Colorado....way more infectious...Surely it will spread and when it does my freezer will be full and on lockdown I will be....
Got one of those wrought iron gates up yesterday...The second gate is more complicated and bolts to a brick wall on one side....Those anchors in the bricks are a royal pain...Got defeated yesterday in an attempt to mount it and today Unk had some Granddaddy sports activity to attend so I was alone.....with a hundred pound gate....Thinking I wouldn't go and Mom jonesing for pine straw I hunted down 20 bales...Only took 2 stops to find some available...Got those bales placed out in her flower beds so she can spread it and had a couple of hours of daylight left....so....gate....I'd decided the holes in the steel that slide over the brick anchors needed to be a shade bigger....5 studs and 5 holes with none wanting to co-operate....First hole gets the drill ripped outta my hands resulting in two cut fingers and a nearly broken thumb....I guess my thumb got bent backwards as it's swollen in the joint where it meets my hand....so.....I walked it off and gave it another go....Another rip from the hands and this time when I raised up I hit the back of my head on a brick that protrudes from the column....So I got a bleeding hand and head along with a jacked up thumb....I punted....Eventually I got the holes enlarged by only going up small increments in the drill bits...Then I managed to get the gate bolted in place....Made the measurement for the final trim....actually the stab at it measurement is the final trim...I left it a little long and it was perfect...so.....Taking the gate back down so I can bring it to the shop and finish welding one of the brick studs starts spinning....The nut won't come off....I don't have any pliers with me....I guess there's always tomorrow....
