Help someone, anyone.... Pretty please.....

Has anyone used SS316L 26g, 2.5mm? Aiming for .50-.60 ish ohms. Don't know if it's possible because using Steam Engine Coiling wrapping, it saids it needs 16 wraps. I don't think it'll fit.

Thanks!

Im using UD SS316L 26g 2.5mm spaced coils in the Crius. 8 wraps. Dual coil.

It reads .23 ohms on my eVic VTC mini.

Thanks, I've been able to do that as well on on Evic Vtc mini. I was aiming for .50-.60ish. Going to try 3mm, 14 wraps. We'll see.

If I may ask, why do you desire such a high res build for ss with tc? Are you wanting to run the build on some other mod than the vtc?

Cause I like to vape at around 30-32 watts on the Vtc ( better for battery life). When I built it like Jefx, UD SS316L, 2.5mm id, 8 wraps spaced, .23-.25 ohms. When I vape it at about 35 watts, the tank makes a popping noise. Something to do with the ramp up of the Ss316L wire? I don't know, any thoughts as to why I am getting the popping noise?

No go on the 14 wraps with 26g SS316L, 3mm id. Don't think it will fit.

What are you using? You mentioned 3mm.

I ended up going back to UD 28g+ribbon twisted, 8 wraps, 2.5mm, .55 ohm @ 32 watts, no more popping noise. But wanted to use my UD SS316L wire spaced for TC on the Vtc, wanted to play with the new TCR update.

Maybe the dry hits are caused by the fluctuating ohms instead of your wicking.

I second this. With mine, the fluctuating resistance is usually due to poor connection(s), and most of the times it's at the posts. I also think this is because the holes in the velocity deck for the set screws go all the way through the posts. Makes it harder to get a really good stable connection, IMO

I thought that too.
What would cause the resistance to dance all over like that? I've also replaced coils about 3 times, and it appears to be making no difference. Could the deck be faulty?

I've had better luck with posts that don't have holes all the way through.

Guys, I don't know if you want to hear this, but I switched to NiFe30 (to replace Nickel) and NiFe48 (to replace Titanium) from Zivipf.de and I couldn't be happier since:

Spaced-coils, micro-coild, everything works.
