I'm havin' the darndest time wicking my Crius! I used rayon this time. I'm gettin' mediocre vapor and no air bubbles with the AFC wide open.
I thought I was careful not to over stuff the juice channels. Back to the drawing board...
I'm using organic cotton in mine and really haven't had any issues. The one time I did have some dry hits, I had way too much cotton, trimmed it a bit and was fine. I wick it very similar to the way Mike does in the video, it's been posted before, but it works well for me. The only other thing I do on my wicks is to bevel cut the top of each leg slightly, just a little easier for me to put the cotton into the well.
The other thing I make sure and do, is after I juice the wick, is to make sure I don't have any cotton hanging or bulging(cotton love handles) on the deck. The air hole under the coil doesn't have a lip and could cause some liquid to seep into those air holes and cause some of that juice ring on the mod, underneath the tank.
I've been using a simple kanthal build 0.25-0.3 ohms and vape it at 38-42 watts, depending on the juice and flavor. I typically use 70%-80% VG and don't have any dry or burnt hits. I have tried 100%VG in it and it wicked a little slow at first, but once the tank warmed up a bit it was fine. The wicking in the video starts at 4:15. Hope this helps.
