I'm using the same tank right now and not sure of the fix either.the 510 is threaded on the outside and the pin is in the middle of the threads.see if the post is up and able to push down to make the pin in the middle, should protrude down a little past the threads, does it?
Yes thank you the pin does protrude the threads...

I

I believe that msy be exactly the problem i definitely tighten them a lot when putting the coil
Yep; that'll do it. The problem is that the posts are hollow, and threaded beyond the bottom of the hole. If you over-tighten the screw, it will act like a blade, and cut right through the lead. That can add to an intermittent connection (causing inaccurate readings), and/or open circuits (the "no atty" error).

If you want to continue to tinker with it; You might try the following:
  • Carefully remove the coil.
  • Trim off the part of the damaged lead. (If you can't tell which one is damaged; you may need to trim both)
  • Then, if the leads are still long enough, you can try reinstalling it. NOTE: be careful NOT to let the actual coil touch either of the posts (see picture).

And thanks so much for the explanation and the picture.. really greatful
I'm happy to do it. We sometimes forget what a learning curve it can be for those new to any particular area of vaping. There is no governing body to "define" terms, so there can be different intentions/meaning when using certain words; and few (if any) instructions or pictorials, to help explain things. I'm just hoping to clarify things a bit. I am glad to hear it helped!:D

Glad you got things working but I'm not exactly sure what the fix WAS? Are you still using that very high resistance coil? That may make your vape quite different than what you are used to, if you are coming from sub0hming. Unless you are liking the vape as it is, I would build a lower resistance coil, maybe start out at around 0.5? Please disregard this if you are enjoying the higher resistance coil and getting a vape you like from it.

Glad things are working out!
